What the **** does this mean? I can install Itunes 7 - tried everything on troubleshooter but nothings working.
Anyone got any ideas - apple smart guys I need you INTELLECT!!!
many thanks
Robbo

Are you installing directly from the ISO? If so, you can try with a new ISO in case this is broken. Also make sure your machine is joined to the domain and that you are executing the setup in the context of a local administrator.
Eventually, try to copy the ISO to local disk and run setup from there.

  • Error when installing VMM - %1 is not a valid Win32 application

    Hi all
    I'm attemping an install of SCVMM and despite installing all prerequisites I'm faced with the following when I launch the installer/disc and click 'Install':
    "Error starting the Virtual Machine Manager Setup Wizard. %1 is not a valid Win32 application"
    this error is the proceeded with another:
    "Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable was not successfully installed. The selected Virtual Machine Manager feature cannot be installed without this prerequisite. Retry setup or manually install Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable
    from Microsoft Download Center."
    The latter package is already installed and I have re-downloaded and re-installed as well to no avail. All .Net packages are installed too.
    I'm running a Windows Server 2012 R2 x64 virtual machine in a HyperV host (HyperV Server 2012) and have navigated the disc and launched the "SetupVMM.exe" located in the amd64 directory as I realise the above Win32 error points to a x86 application
    - still no joy, the same errors!
    I have tried the installer in a VMWare 2012 server with the same error and on a physical Windows 7 machine again same error so this makes me think I'm either missing something basic or have overlooked something seems the environment doesn't seem to make
    a difference (although obviously not attempted a x86 environment but SCVMM is listed as x86 or x64).
    This is for a lab test and personal experience before production so I realise running SCVMM within a virtual machine that is hosted on the same hypervisor isn't good practice - but it's a start :)
    Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
    Sam

  • When trying to open documents, getting error as File is not a valid Win32 application

    Hi,
    I am trying to open a MPP by clicking on the name of the file. But I am getting the error as "path\filename.mpp is not a valid Wind32 application".
    I am able to save the document and open it in MPP, but clicking on the document name is giving this error "File is not a valid Win32 application".
    I have tried to repair "Microsoft Project". But still the same issue. I am using Office 2010. SharePoint site is SP 2010.
    How to fix this?
    Thanks

    Hi Ed,
    I am sorry, but I could not understand that answer.
    I have put that answer in the below quotes:
    "You are never going to believe what I did. This is a nice ending to a very confusing situation. lol
    I uninstalled Project 2007 and rebooted my laptop and reinstalled Project 2007. No Difference at all. Same thing happened. I just couldn't stop thinking about how 2007 Microsoft Office Component kept showing up in default programs. This has bugged me for days.
    I went browsing in my program files. I typed in Microsoft Office Project. The only thing I found was WINPROJ. I decided to check it out. I checked it's properties, size, location, etc.. What did I have to lose at this point? I clicked on it and it went into
    my default programs as Microsoft Office Project 2007. This doesn't make any sense to me. But, don't try to fix anything else if it isn't broken, right? It's working and I am so relieved. I mean, YAAAAY!!! Another mystery solved...
    Thanks for hanging in there with me to help solve this mystery. You have been of great assistance to me. You made me think outside the box and it worked.
    Laura"
    Does it mean MPP Should be a 2007 version?
    Thanks

  • When I try to open Firefox 4.0 I get an error message saying that it is not a valid Win32 Application. What do I do? I am using Windows XP Sp3

    I downloaded Firefox 4.o exe. When I tried to open it I got an error message stating that it was not a valid Win32 application. I am using windows XP SP3. How do I get it to open?

    [[Firefox is already running but is not responding]] has steps that you can try. It sounds like you may have something that is hanging your browser on exit (probably an extension or a locked profile) and the steps on that page should help clear it up.

  • SAP Download Manager exe:  " is not a valid win32 application"

    Hi,
    I just cannot find any solution this issue.
    I downloaded from the SDN the SAP Solution Manager (exe File) to a 64 bit machine.
    But when I double click the EXE-File to start the installation  I get the following error message:
    ....exe is not a valid win32 application.
    The machine is a 64 bit one so I woinder what the win32 is required?
    All the solutions I can find are talking about virus etc.. but I do not believe this.
    Any feedback?
    Best regards

    Hi,
    yes DLM is a java application but normaly it should be installed via the exe file. This is what I wonder.
    I just did the following:
    Manual installation
    Download the Download Manager Java Archive (958 KB).
    Copy it to a directory where it can permanently reside:
    Open a shell ("command prompt") and change directory (type: cd 'the directory name') to the directory to which the Download Manager Java Archive was copied.
    At the prompt, type: java -classpath "DLManager.jar" dlmanager.Application
    The Download Manager application starts up
    And it works now by this means it be started.
    But I wish to install it and be also listed under the installed programs.
    Anyway I can live with this now
    Thanks

  • "adobe .ai or .eps file" is not a valid Win32 application

    I'm on Windows XP and can't open Illustrator .AI or .EPS files by double clicking them. When I do I get the error "...is not a valid Win32 application". I must go to file>open or drag the file icon to the AI icon. I checked some other threads, but had no luck. I did try going to control panel>folder options>file types>opens with. But that did not work. Photoshop and Acrobat files open fine when I double click them.
    thanks

    As I wrote many times, the best cure in such situations is to entirely delete any existing references to a file type or program from that list, then create the rules again from scratch. Nothing as refreshing as starting with a clean slate. In addition, check, whether other programs are having a hold on certain associations and/or are simply flooding your context menu with nonsense stuiff. Tools such as Nero burning software, various packer tools and a colorful array of other software have the bad habit of doing that...

  • When I try to download iTunes it says "not a valid Win32 application"

    the whole thing it says is "C:\Documents and Settings\Evie Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IES\OLYFO9IV\iTunesSetup[1].exe is not a vaild Win32 application." Please help me!
    Emachines T6420   Windows XP

    It usually means one of two things
    1) A virus has infected somehow after it was downloaded
    2) It didn't download properly
    The first is easy to fix. Go get an anti-virus program. AVG is a good free one that's quite good.
    The second just means you have to redownload it again.. and turn off any download accelerators.

  • Error message iTunes64 Setup.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

    I've tried a few times to update my laptop with latest version of iTunes, even have uninstalled older version, and I just keep getting this message.  What am I doing wrong?  How do I fix it?  I have Windows 7, 64-bit system.
    I wouldn't have even tried to update, but when I plugged in my new iphone 4S to download my itunes librarby to it, i was prompted to get the most recent version.  Now I don't have anything.  HELP!

    Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different (64-bit) PC. Copy the iTunes64Setup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunes64Setup.exe file.
    Does that go through any better for you?

  • Error Message - iTunesSetup[1].exe is not a valid Win32 application

    I'm having difficulty synching my iPod Shuffle as I keep getting the referenced message. Can anyone help me out?

    I solved my problem. After reading all the posts about problems with 7.6 I decided to download 7.5 instead. All I wanted to do was download music so needed 7.2 or higher. I found this link: http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/11/07/direct-download-itunes-75-to-activate-i phone-anywhere-internationally/
    and did the direct download. Now I'm downloading music no problem!

  • Cant install QuickTimeInstaller.exe or iTunesSetup.exe and IE9 SmartScreen Filter reports the program is not commonly downloaded and is not signed by its author. I run it anyway, but "is not a valid Win32 application". Tried Firefox

    I followed the Article TS1406 (recommended solution) on both a Windows 7 OS and an Apple OS, tried Safari and Firefox, tried using 'Upgrade ITunes' button on my old version of iTunes, then uninstalled ITunes, then QuickTime, now can't install either because I'm getting the same error message when I download and choose Run > 'not a valid Win32 application'. On IE9, the SmartScreen Filter returns a warning that the file could harm my computer because it is not commonly downloaded. I tried downloading it from other internet sources, but that's risky, and anyway, it's still causing the same errors. What else is there to try? If I can't find a solution, I can't use my new Iphone 5

    It's still pointing to the installers getting damaged during the downloads.
    Perhaps try downloading and saving a copy of the installer to a different PC. (If you're on a 32-bit Windows system, try to download on a different 32-bit Windows system.) Copy the iTunesSetup.exe installer to an external hard-drive, or a large-enough thumb drive or burn it to a CD-R. Carry the installer back to your PC, copy the installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install from the ExHD, thumb or CD-R.) Start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file.

  • ITunes set up gives an error message saying not a "valid win32 application"

    I am using Windows 7 and trying to download iTunes, but when I try to open the iTunes set up it gives an error message saying that it is not a "valid win32 application". It does the same for downloading quicktime. I have no idea what this means or what to do about it.

    That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
    I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
    If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer?

  • I am trying to download icloud control panel via icloudsetup.exe to windows Toshiba laptop and get a message" \icloudsetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application. Can anyone help? I am new to Apple stuff.

    Need help for icloud photo stream, have activated ps on iphone 4 and set up icloud back up for email, contacts, iwork, and find my ihone. Need to find photos that we thought were being saved/shared as well but evidently not. Found on another search that I may need the icloud control panel so tried to download it but when try to install i get, C:\Users\Downloads\icloudsetup.exe is not a valid Win32 application. I am using a Toshiba laptop with windows 7, which the system requirements are met. I am new to Apple stuff, so any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    It suggests the installer is getting damaged during the download.
    I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

  • "22001904.exe is not a valid Win32 application."

    I just had to have my WinXP computer rebuilt when the motherboard failed. Now running Win7. Trying to reinstall Acrobat Standard 7.0. I have downloaded the file from the site, but Win7 won't install it. The error message is "22001904.exe is not a valid Win32 application." Can anyone help resolve this issue? Thank you!

    Where did you download it? At this point, you will have to install the AA 7 from Error: Activation Server Unavailable | CS2, Acrobat 7, Audition 3.

  • ITunesSetup.exe not a valid WIN32 Application????

    I've been deployed to Afghanistan for the past 13 months and have another 4 to go. I'm trying to download Itunes 7.0.2 and when I go to install it I get an error that reads ITunesSetup.exe is not a valid WIN32 application. What the **** does this mean. I only have a couple of days to get this fixed and my Ipod crashed with that RavMon virus lastnight. Anyone please help

    I had the very same problem with installing, and have no idea what it means. I've searched all over support, and asked the very same question about 4 months back.
    One odd thing about it, though. It didn't seem to make a difference when installing. The installer would get partially finished, and the error would appear. The installer would then start "rolling back actions" and when you would think it would close, it would start back up again. I have no idea why, but the installation completed normally, and my itunes works fine.
    If it doesn't work the first time, try it a couple more times. That's what happened with me.

  • TREX 7.0 Httpserver %1 is not a valid Win32 application

    Hi all Gurus.
    After installation I try to access the URL http://ifprxxxx:30205/TREXHttpServer/TrexIsapiExt.dll (this is a copy to clip board from TREXAdmin  Landscape configuration   Service).
    What I have tried so far
    <BR>
    1) First checked all permissions for user required to access the website u2013 as per installation docs and forum post at SDN.
    <BR>
    2) Added the ServiceSAP<SID> user to the local administrators groups u2013 now able to restart the IIS from TREXadmin application.
    <BR>
    3) (Not required) Added  Local group Everyone to security/permissions to the folder (TREX root folder) selected inherit all parent permissions and replace all child permissions from this folder.
    <BR>
    4) Create a local user (member of Everyone ) and replaced default internet user on the TREX website properties dir security u2013 user
    <BR>
    5) Found a SAP note (sapnote_0000684106 Microsoft runtime DLLs ) that describes missing DLLs on the 64 bit machine so I executed R3DLLinst.exe u2013 this adds all required dlls for TREX. u2013 still not working
    <BR>
    6) Found SAP Note (sapnote_0001031193 TREX 7.0 Web Server not working on 64bit ) implemented still not solution.
    <BR>
    7) Restarted all applications and still not working.After changing the browser response type u2013 (not friendly display) I get this response to the URL above

    Thanks for the reply, i did have a look at the link and did not help. Just also worth mentioning is that on the system drive for a 64 bit you will find the following folders.
    C:\Program Files (x86)
    and
    C:\Program Files
    i have also seen a mention about a folder containing a space " " in the folder name can cause this but it only relates to the folder as defined for a virtual directory ie C:\myWeps\app 1  where "app 1" has a space. The recommendation is that you should not have any spaces. ie
    E:\usr\sap\TXP\TRX02\exe\WebServer   as defined for TREX.
    I have this installed also on a 32 bit with no issue.
    Anyone else with some tips are well come
