Error when downloading pdf

PDFs run fine inside safari, but when I download them to my mac, they fail to open, and I get an error message saying the files are corrupted, nealry all of the time?

When PDF open in Safari , could you save PDF to your local system using the Acrobat or Reader Save button from the Acrobat tool bar? Do you still get the file is corrupted when opening this local PDF?

Love Google Chrome but have had a frustrating week with pdf downloads coming up with error codes and scrambled or blank pages since updateing with 9.3.3 . Thought the problem was originally from installing Win Office 2010 Pro when I discovered the problem. Uninstalling Win Office Pro and trying all possible fixes for 9.3.3 were to of no avail. Thank god for the massages left in this forum. It looks like there is some work to be done with compatibility issues. Will try IE to see if I have success similar to others but would like to have the chrome back and working with Adobe!!! Hope to see a Fix ASAP!

Back again, 11:14 EST 8/12/10 . Just uninstalled the non working version of 9.3.3 and reloaded again from the Adobe site. Finally the pdfs are downloading without errors in Goggle Chrome on my 64 bit system!!! Hooray. Will be extra cautious with future upgrade downloads; as this seems to be when the trouble started.

Acrobat 8 Pro Error when download pdf from website

Fresh install of Acrobat 8 Pro.
Win XP Home edition SP3.
IE 7.0.5730
Windows message:
"Do you want to save this file, or find a program online to open it?"
"Name:5821.pdf
Type: Unknown File Type, 242kb
Buttons: [Find] [Save] [Cancel]"
This happens everytime I try to download a pdf (different file name of course)
How do I set Adobe Acrobat to be my default pdf reader?

I remember what the difference is. I used to have different choices. [Open] [Save] [Cancel]
I used to Always choose OPEN for pdfs. I could choose to save later if I decided to keep the file. Is this a change that Adobe made? A browser plug-in, maybe?
I really dont want to save EVERYTHING, and have to remember to drag it to the recycle bin later.
Any help?

After oppressing my iPad I started to get error when downloading books on iBook . It looks that book is downloaded, bu I miss most of the pages, and ther is several pages were it sayes error and page is missing. This happens to all of the book I try to download, even the ones I downloaded from before.

i have successfully completed <b>first</b> synchronization .
After that i assigned Mobile Component to the device and tried synchronizing.

I resolved it on my own guys !!!
Actually while downloading server url consists of hostname bcoz the hostfile entry in windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts was only hostname.
i entered FQDN name in the hostfile... It WORKED
Being Saturday and Sunday...i cud not get any help from forums...i was really worried and Guys we need to think on this :-?

OFFICE 365 is a cloud version of OFFICE 2013. Full compatibility with Acrobat requires an updated Acrobat XI. You will likely have to store the file and then open in AA 9. To create a PDF you will have to print to the Adobe PDF printer or use the MS plugin that has several issues.

Even when i connect to itunes i keep getting an error when downloading the new os. I have made 11 attempts.

download is corrupt. I finally solved it. I had changed my password on my appleid and had not updated it in my phone. After i got the same error on 3 different desktops i decided the error was in my phone and updated all my settings and the update worked the first time.

I think I solved the problem by initiating the update in a different way, from the itunes panel where I can click to start the update, instead of saying yes when asked if I want to update when itunes launches in response to the iphone being plugged into the computer.

Is it possible to write the data directly to a local storage (IndexedDB for example) instead of keeping it in memory?

Since my page is located in a SharePoint Hosted App, I can't use XMLHttpRequest directly to access the document in the host site. Seems like the MS cross-domain library is the only choice to me.

Hi,
Per my understanding, you might want to download the content of files into database in SharePoint Hosted App.
In SharePoint Hosted App, as we can only use JavaScript which is supposed to be executed in browser, the content retrieved will be stored in memory then to the local hard drive.
As a workaround, I suggest you develop a Provider Hosted App and do the same job there instead. In Provider Hosted App, we can use C# to handle the file downloading which should
be more appropriate in your scenario.
