We have applied support packs. its completed and i am testing the system. i am getting the error when i exe a info pack and the error message is this.
Error message<b>
The Control Parameters for communication with the bw server are not complete. a BW Plugin uprade could be the cause of the problem.
Depending on the relese of the BW server , Proceed as follows. BW Server Release1.2B: Source System: Update INfosource Metadata BW server release >= 2.0A : Source System Activate.</b>

Hi Lord Acoustic,
I assume the simulation was developed with an older version
of director, and worked under an older system (e.g. Win98 or 2k).
Your new computers come with Vista, right?
Go to the developer, tell him to recompile the simulation
with a new version of Director for your new os, and it should work.
He might have to charge you for changes to the code.
Noone else but the developer can do anything. And only when
he still has the source files (x.dir).
You can try to run the software in a virtual machine, that
might work.

Error when activating the Info set

Hi all,
I have created an Infoset on 2 infocubes, in both of them i am having navigational attributes, but either in infoset backend or front end i am not getting the navigational attributes.
For getting these navigational attributes i added masterdata objects for which i need to get navigational attributes to the infoset and mapped them to the data target objects.
while the infoset is having only cubes the infoset worked fine expect nav attributes.when i added these masterdata objects to the infoset i am getting error while activating the info set.
It does not have any description even to find out the solution.
Please let me know the solution as soon as possible.

CL_RSRD_PRODUCER_PRECALC Error when Printing using Info Broadcasting

Hi,
I get the following error when trying to print from the Portal using Information Broadcasting - CL_RSRD_PRODUCER_PRECALC, type PROD. I am trying to print using PS or PCL not PDF.
We are running SPS12. The printer is setup in BW and tested. All other connections between Portal and BW appear to be working.
Any ideas?

Thanks, but that note applies to Patch 8 and as mentioned we are running SPS12.
Basically what happens is we get a blank browser window for some time then the error returns as mentioned in my original post.

Error when building File Info Panel

I'm trying to rebuild my custom XMP File Info panel so that it will work in CS5, but am getting the following error:

The line causing the problem is:

So I don't understand why XMPComboBox is not a valid type?

I'm now having trouble with a TextInputMRU - when I give it a dataProvider the panel builds okay, but appears empty when viewing it in Photoshop.

Error when upgrading to Suppot Pack 10

Hello. I am upgrading my J2EE engine(EP6 SP4) to support pack 10 from support pack 4. I get to step 14 Update Configuration and I get an error. I have rebooted a couple of times and it did not help.

Both of those notes are applicable with EP 6.0 sp2. I am already past that release when I started, I was a sp4. I am upgrading to sp10.

"Fatal Installation error" when invoking "File Info"

When I invoke "File Info" from Bridge or Photoshop, I get the following error. I reinstalled PShop twice, once even as root, and the problem remains. I've tried CS3 as well and bridge just crashes (log file attached). It also happens with a newly created user account. N

With 'even in root' you mean you did not so before?
Ideally all applications should be installed in the default applications
folder on root level, every user account has access to them in this way.
It seems to me you have made a bit of a mess of the installation procedure
(don't want to make you angry BTW).
The best way in my opinion would be to back up all your custom settings like
actions, workspaces, tools, brushes etc. And after this go to the PS help
menu and choose deactivate, if necessary repeat this for all the Adobe suite
versions you have on your system (assuming you have all the serial numbers
also backed up in a safe place).
Visit also the clean tool page for CS5 and download the tool after having
read the instructions.

Then use the uninstaller from one of the suite applications that can be
found in the application folder where you installed it. Also repeat this for
every suite version.
Use the clean tool to remove everything of CS versions from your system.
Then do system maintenance using the Apple disk Utility and choose check
and repair permissions. (also check your disk)
Also check if you have the latest OS software with using Apple Software
update
Now reinstall your main suite version again on root level and use the Adobe
auto update to gain all the latest updates.
You can have multiple version of most suite applications on your system and
even active together but you can only use Bridge version at the time. Bridge
has been improved significant for each new version of CS so use the latest.
Try again.

Error when creating new Info Space

I have published, and insured I can create a Web-I report. I created a Universe based on MS Excel and its published sucessfully to the repository
When attempting to create a new Infospace in Explorer I get the following error message:
Failed to retrieve the data source details.
The creation of the data source object tree failed.
The dataSource cannot be generated for the specified dataSource name "XXXXX".
Can someone please share thier advice

I believe you get something like a 30-day full-functioning "trial" from the licensed install discs before you're locked out, if you don't activate over the Internet. It used to be a more manual process, but with CS4, it's done during install as long as you do have a live Internet connection. Again, from the information, it's hard to tell what's actually happening (ie. what's the message box that appears say?), but you could try plugging into the Internet and then going to Help > Activate from any of the suite apps.

Error creating acl for (resource). I get this error when entering security info in web.xml.

We're using iWS 6.0. Is there some security configuration that needs to be done in order to use standard security directives in our web application's web.xml?

Report Generation Toolkit error when running exe not vi

Unknown System Error in Get Report Settings.vi->Get Current Font.vi->Excel Easy Table (str).vi->insert table and save file.vi->80x test suite.vi
1. The above is an error I get from my exe
2. I do not get this error when just running the vi.
3. On several report gen functions cohersion dots are on my refnum input. Is this the cause of my problem with the exe?
I guess there is an another learning curve when dealing with the app builder.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a scenario where I need to extract a char 60 field from R/3 in the DSO.
I have created the info-object which is char 60 which has the master data text activated.
In the DSO transformation I have mapped it to the R/3 field.
While activating the data in DSO its giving the error message
'Value '20 per action plan' (hex. '32302070657220616374696F6E20706C616E') of characteristic'
'Error when assigning SID: Action VAL_SID_CONVERT InfoObject ZRMSD '
How to overcome this issue.

Change the InfoObject for this text so that it will allow lowercase letters. To do this, go into Change mode on the InfoObject, go to the General tab, check the Lowercase letters checkbox and activate the InfoObject. After this has been activated, you can then restart your process and this SID violation error should no longer be thrown for this.
If you don't want to do this, then you can use the TOUPPER formula in the Characteristic Routine, in the Transformation, to change the value of this field contents to uppercase. This can also be done by using an ABAP routine like this:
TRANSLATE column TO UPPER CASE.

PProHeadless.exe has stopped working error when opening projects in Adobe Media Encoder CS6

Hi, I recently upgraded to Adobe Cloud CS6 and am having problems with the Adobe Media Encoder CS 6 (version 6.0.1.31 64-bit).
When I try to add Adobe Premiere projects in AME, it sometimes gives me the following error:
PProHeadless.exe has stopped working
I tried rebooting, and it still gives me the same error. Sometimes the project will load, sometimes it won't.
The Premiere projects contain a H.264 .mov file coming from my Canon T2i. I also added an overlay logo to the bottom right of the video that I created in Adobe After Effects, which only contains text, no effects, no motion, etc. Sometimes I also have a .wav file recorded from a Zoom H4n, but not always. I usually edit those in Adobe Audition with the remove noise feature.
I am running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I'm using an i7 with 16GB ram and an ATI 6870 video card.
I have the LUT buddy plugin installed.
It will give me the error the first time I try to load the project, and the connection to Dynamic Link Server will fail. Afterwards, if I try to load the project again, even if I restart AME, it stays stuck in the Connecting to Dynamic Link server...
Any help anyone could provide would be appreciated.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. Dragging the sequence from PPro to AME made AME lock up. But your second suggestion of exporting the video directly from PPro seems to be working. I still have 6 minutes to go, but at least it got up to 25% so far, so everything seems good.

Error 'RecoveryMgr.exe is not a valid Win32 application' when trying to restore in Win7

I really hope someone can help as this is driving me mad!
System details - G62 Notebook running Windows 7
The notebook crashed after a Windows update and wouldn't boot up. I made it into the recovery manager and back my files before restoring to factory settings.
Since getting back in I am unable to get my files back. I have tried through the recovery manager but it does not allow me to see the files on the dvd. I have also tried through backup and restore but no joy there either. When I click on RecoverMgr.exe on the dvd I get error 'RecoveryMgr.exe is not a valid Win32 application' and it won't open.
I hope someone has managed to solve this before as I would love my files back. All suggestions greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Error when Installing Eax-console as part of Audigy support pack 3.6

<div class="lia-component-body lia-message-body">Hey there, out of nowhere I have the following problem:
I have used several versions of this audigy support Pack up to now, both in Windows XP and Windows 7 RC and all worked fine for me. Most recently I used 3.5 and 3.6 in both OS for a short time.
now I had to format my harddisk an have installed a clean version of Win XP SP3. I installed an update pack (winboard.org), the latest direct X and drivers for nvidia motherboard and videocard. Then, when I tried to install this support pack, I get an error messagge I-00 when eax-console should have been installed, something about CTengine being unable to be installed.
I read through many of the solutions here in the forum, since this error seems to be not so rare. But up to now, nothing helped. This is, what my install.log tells me:

What the heck could I do?
I made an new thread, since nobody seamed to react to my post in the support pack thread.

HRe: Error when Installing Eax-console as part of Audigy support pack 3.6o What you have is a missing file, or perhaps your system is wanting to install direct X redistributable or something similar. Do a search on your system for install.log and when you find the newest one, or second to newest one, open it with notepad. It will tell you exactly what you are missing. I was trying to install some components for my Elite Pro and it said in the install.log that it could not find DXREDIST. So I copied a version I had to the installing program's folder and it worked!? So take a look at that log and see what is missing......write back with your results if you dont mind. In the original post I had seen the registration problems with components. You can manually run regsvr32 with the /? switch and see how to unregister that yourself and then try the installation again.
