when am executing the program we have following problem.
Error when excuting function z_perf_eed_profmat.
values in selection screen:
Scenario : zall(custom) and fcode z_perf_eed_profmat (custom).
Please help me on this.

Please try converting the standadrd-delivered scenario RPT0, then check
out the things.
Also problem may be that your function code names contain
the character '&'. This causes a problem when the selected function
code is passed to the ITS-WebGUI as a URL parameter. Please use only
standard characters (A..Z and _) when you define a function code.
Then it should work.

The Reporting Iview in the portal has the Report category type, by
the report category type is set to "RPT0". Therefore, when the
application is launched, the reporting category type is also sent as URL
parameter to the backend system. As of ECC 6.0 only the reporting
category type "RPT0" is supported. ensure this is set for your custom reports if you are using own scenarion
then set in the Iview property of reports as well
ie example
1)Change the Iview property "Scenario" of the Reporting iview from
"RPT0" to your own "ZRPT", than this set of reports will work. however,
the standard reports will not work.

We too are encountering this problem with reports migrated from 2005 to 2008. We are getting the rendering error only when trying to use the paging controls to navigate forward through the report. This is on SSRS 2008 R2 running SharePoint Integration. When
the result set is empty we get the tablix errors mentioned instead. The reports ran fine prior to migration to SSRS2008.

when I am executing a report in Bex analyzer and selecting a hierrachy and execute the report it is giving an error " in Program CL_RSR_RRKO_HIERARCHY and Form SEL_TO_SELDR_EQSID.Any reason for this.

Hi,
go to RSSM and give your infoprovider name and check the authrization objects which are present in the infoprovider ...it will have option ticked.
Basically authorizations are based on company code or sales org.
give that authorization object in the first option in RSSM and check on which infoobject it is based.
Also you can give your user id in one of the option in this transaction RSSM and then you can check for that authorization object do you have any values present for the included infoobjects or not.
You will not have those values entry here in the authorization object for those selections which you are giving during the report run.
Just change the vales here and give the desired value for which you are running the report.
Save it.

Crystal reports and SAP BI--------BAPI error when executing the report

Hi All,
I am getting a problem accessing the data from the SAP BI system into the crystal reports.I created a report in CR2008 on a query built in SAP BI.When I execute this query,I am getting the following error.
Database Connection Error:'BAPI Error #:0
Error Occured when starting the parser:timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL:'ThSAPCMRCV"

I have Built a query and when i run i get the selection screen and when i enter value and execute i am getting the following error "Not authorised to run report".

If there is a anuthrization object in the infoprovider on which report was build, make sure you have the * access for that infoobjects.
If you are using BI 7 go to t code rsecadmin and check what are infoobject available which is authrization enebled
and then check they are used in you infoprovider. and u have that access or not.
If you dont have the access create one authrization object for that object and ask basis to assign the authrizaion object to S_RS_AUTH

Error when executing BI report thro EP

Hi Gurus
I am trying to run a BI report EP .
I assigned a query to a web template & executed the query it is fine but when I assign the query string of this template to the i-view in EP and execute this i-view it throws the following error
You do not have the authorization for component ZTEST_DEMO_REPORT
DP_1: Unable to load query ZTEST_DEMO_REPORT
FYI this's the query assigned to the web template.
please advice on this at the earliest.

Hi,
Activate the authorization trace and run the same report in webtemplate and then provide the same trace file to your security team. Then they could assign you the missing authorization object to your user.
Tcode - ST01 select the checkbox Auth Trace and click on General Filters --> Give your user name and then click on Trace on --> and run the query in Portal as soon as you get the auth message you can de activate the trace at st01 which you activated before. Then click on Analysis tab and get the trace file downloaded to your local system and send it to your Security team..
It should perminantly solve your issue when ever you see the similar message infuture.

Error when Executing the Report - No Authorization for Multiprovider

Hello Experts,
After the upgrade has carried out in my Quality system, I'm unable to execute a query because of the authorization issue with Multiprovider. But earlier the same Authorization was assigned to the my ID.
The Role in Q and the Role in P is same. Right now P is with 3.1 and Q is with BI7.
In both the system I have the same Role. But in Q it says that: Error You have no Authorization for Multiprovider XXXX
This is happening for only one Multiprovider in Quality system. There is no change in the Multiprovider from earlier structure to the present structure.
Can anyone give me any idea as to how to solve this issue?

Ok,
Pick up a test user (or your user) and go to transaction su01.
Check the roles that are assigned.
Double-click in each one and choose display. Go to tab authorizations and click on the glasses icon of displaying authorizations data. Then go to menu->Utilities->Technical names On.
You should see the tree with the node name Business Information Warehouse (technical name RS), if you don't see this in this role, than the issue it's not in this role, go back to su01 and check another role the same process until you find this node.
If you expand this node you'll see another nodes, one of them is called Data Warehousing Workbench - InfoCube (technical name S_RS_ICUBE). And you probably can't find another node called Data Warehousing Workbench - MultiProvider (technical name S_RS_MPRO), this is the new node you want.
In the node S_RS_ICUBE expand it and you'll see the authorizations given to InfoCubes with activity, InfoArea and InfoCube. In the older system BW 3.x this object was used to give access to InfoCubes, but also to MultiCubes. So you have to find the role that has this object with InfoCube with the value of MultiCube or with all values, for example, you could have this node in your role with the following values:

InfoCube                    ZFIAA_C11, ZFIAA_C13, ZFIAA_M02

So in BI 7 MultiCubes are now controlled by the new object S_RS_MPRO instead of the older object S_RS_ICUBE. What you should do is go to transaction pfcg and insert the role you want to include (or change these new values, i.e., the role that has the access to the MultiCube values inside the object S_RS_ICUBE which the query is built on) the new object S_RS_MPRO and click on change. Go to tab authorizations and click on change authorization data. Then click on manually (ctrlshiftF9) and insert the object S_RS_MPRO. Inside this new object you should insert the authorization data for accessing your multiproviders.
In the 3 examples above you should create these 3 entries:

MultiProvider Subobject DATA
or with:

Basically in MSS report, I select employees in the first iView which calls another ABAP query in back-end to display back-end t-code inside iView of portal through ITS service. What could be the reason for it? please advice.

Webi report throwing error when executed

HI Experts,
While executing a Webi Report we are gettign following error when executing with more than one characteristics -
A Database error occured. The database eror text is : The MDX Query select { [Measures].[4225B1TBMEMOYKZGDKLVINMAW] } ON COLUMNS FROM [ZMEPSC01/ZMEPSC01_QRY_0001]
failed to execute with the error Unknown error.(WIS 10901).
We tried changing the Universe -> Parameter -> Control -> Limit size of result set to -> unchecked it.
But still the error remains. Can u put some light over it.

Just Check with the BI the people they might change the the column name or some thing else in the bex Query that s way It is showing error.
Refresh the universe and generate the report then check it.

Unknown error when executing MDX when refreshing Crystal Report with BEx

I have created a Crystal Report (Crystal 2008 SP1) with BEx Query (7.10) and have been able to refresh successfully when the SAP_ALL authorization is included in my user role. I don't want my end users to have SAP_ALL so I created a role and assigned the authorizations recommended in the SAP Integration Kit for BusinessObjects 3.1 Install Guide.
When I run the report as one of the users assigned to my new role I get the following error in the trace file.

I tried all the Fix Packs (ie 1.1., 1.2 and 1.3) for XI 3.1 Integration Kit to try resolving the error but it didn't work.
The same query works fine in BEx Web when running as one of the users in the new role I created for Crystal Report users.
Are there any other Authorizations that I need to include in the role?

We have been able to identify what causes the MDX driver to error and I will explain what we are trying to implement with the hierarchies.
Firstly, we are creating reports of the HR cube Mutliprovider using the SAP MDX Driver which works well when there are no authorization analysis set on the cube. But with the authorization analysis set for on 0ORGUNIT for BEx Explorer Crystal returns the MDX error.
Each of the Business Unit managers are assigned to an Organization Unit that will be used to restrict the employees that will be reported. To restrict the Managers to only see their Org Unit we have set the 0ORGUNIT object to use authorization ananlysis and a custom authorization variable to return only data for the Org Unit they belong too.
In Crystal this works well when a manager has an Org Unit that is a head department of other Org Units. This scenario will give Crystal the NodeID and Parent NodeID to create the hierarchies in the report. But when a manager does not have any other Org Units beneath there own department then Crystal doesn't have a Parent NodeID to create the Hierarchies with the NodeID. In the RFC trace I can see an error when Crystal is trying to get the Parent NodeID but the user is not authorized to that Org Unit then it throws the error.
We have got a temporary workaround which is to create the managers a dummy Org Unit below their own department. The workaround will do for now but shouldn't the MDX driver be able to recognise that it has returned the last level in the Org Unit Hierarchy and not return an error?
The customer is looking for a product fix as they believe this should be handled by the driver. Is this a bug or a limitation of the product?

According to your description, when you run the report, you get XMLDPException and 500 error.
In your scenario, I would like to know if you are running report in report server or SharePoint site. Does the error only occur when executing this report? Based on my research, the same issue occurs when using SSRS 2008. And the reason the IIS 7 defaults
to Kernel auth mode. So if that is a case, please disable Kernal Auth mode for IIS and registering the SPN on the APPool account.

Error when generating the report (see long text), Message no. AQ_AD_HOC221

Hi All,
I am facing a peculiar problem while executing an infoset query.I have created 2 customized fields Compa-ratio and PIR in infotype 0008 in an infoset.I have coded in these additional fields.
When I execute a query using 1 of these customized fields the report is generated correctly.But when I put both the fields in the output the report shows an error "Error when generating the report (see long text)". The message# associated with this errAQ_AD_HOC221.
I have also checked the data types and the references. Nothing seems to be wrong here.
Does anybody has any clue about this ?

Hi Bernd,
I had a look at those notes. But the information provided did'nt prove to be helpful. I found out the problem. I was using the same local variable for both the fields in their code. This generated the error. This error is a very generic one and does'nt help in finding out what exactly is the problem.
I changed the other local variable and it started working. When I was using the same variable that time I did'nt forget to clear the values but the query still generated the error.

Error when running a report in BPC NW

I am getting the following error when running a report for my application in BPC NW.
EVDRE encountered an error retrieving data from the Web Server (retrying in (X) seconds).
This error comes with this dialog option box to either continue or cancel retrying retrieving data. Retrying doesn't help either.
Any report I run (on any of my appsets), I get this error. I used the EVDRE function and also tried running a report using the template as the basis. But I get the error either way.
Does anyone know why this error is occurs or how to debug this issue. I saw some information about this in earlier threads but could not make much out of it.
Appreciate any assistance.

This is a very generic error...Couple of places to look for....
1)Reprocess the application (Modify application + Reassign SQL Index + Process Application)
2)optimizing the application sometimes helps (Full Optimize + Compress Database + Index defragmentation).
3)Create a "evdataserver_debug.txt" in user's private publication folder on server side to populate very detail level logging and check the log on client side EVDRE_LOG.txt for further peek into where things are getting messed up.
if evdataserver_debug.txt does not get populated on BPC 5.x...it is an issue with IIS authetication on Application server.
4)You have to check the event viewer into .NET server and also the BPC logs which can be found into
BPC\Logging for further details ..
