Hi,
Refer Note 931975 - Problems when you execute a query
Symptom
At runtime, a query contains a generated ABAP program and a data structure, which is stored in the shared buffer. Due to the gap described here, the version of the ABAP program may not correspond to the version of the data structure.
This causes several terminations when you execute this query:
X299 Brain SAPLRRK0; Form GET_FIELD_POSITION-01-,
X299 Brain SAPLRRK0; Form APPEND_KHANDLE_1-02-,
ASSIGN COMPONENT L_FIELDNAME OF STRUCTURE C_SX_GVAR, and others.
Other terms
RSIX, SX_REPORT,
Reason and Prerequisites
The error can occur if one person changes a query and another person simultaneously executes the query. A query may also be changed implicitly if one of the objects used in the query is changed in another query.
Solution
The attached corrections apply only to Releases 3.X. An advance correction cannot be provided for NetWeaver 2004s.
Before you implement the attached correction (in 3.X), you must change the two following method interfaces. Otherwise syntax errors occur in the CL_RSR_REPORT_RSIX class and the RRI0 function group when you implement the corrections.
1. In Transaction SE24: Change the MODIFY method of the CL_RSR_REPORT_RSIX class as follows:
Insert the I_S_RKB1D import parameter with the type RSR_S_RKB1D.
2. In Transaction SE24: Change the READ_SX_REPORT method of the CL_RSR_REPORT_RSIX class.
Delete all existing import parameters (that is, I_GENUNIID, I_DVERS, I_IDVERS and I_GENTIME) and insert the I_S_RKB1D import parameter with the type RSR_S_RKB1D.
After you implement the corrections, you must delete the incorrect information in the shared buffer. To do this, enter '/$SYNC' in the command field in every application server. Alternatively, you can also call RSRT -> Environment -> Generate Queries. As a result, all queries are regenerated but all OLAP caches are rejected.

Random error when executing a workflow (urgent!!)
We are sometimes getting the following error message when a workflow is executed:
"com.waveset.util.WavesetException: Can't call method getObject on class com.waveset.server.InternalSession com.waveset.util.InternalError: ID not passed to ObjectCache.getObject"
This error occurs randomly (sometimes happens and sometimes don't, even when repeating the same test) when executing the create user and update user workflows.
The problem is that in spite of this error, the user is successfully created and provisioned to all resources (when executing the create workflow) and all changes made user to the user are also successfully provisioned (when executing the update user workflow), so we are not quite sure what is causing it.
So far, we've checked across our code to make sure that every time the getObject method is called we are passing to it the following code as context:
<invoke name='getObject'>
<select>
<ref>context</ref>
<ref>:display.session</ref>
<invoke name='getLighthouseContext'>
<ref>WF_CONTEXT</ref>
</invoke>
</select>
But this made no difference.
Any comments on this issue would be much appreciated!

Indeed we are using the inbuilt Approval process in all of our workflows. We call that process from our approval activity and we pass to it the "approver" variable as an argument as follows:
<Activity id='8' name='Manager Approval'>
<Variable name='manager' value='$(user.accounts[Lighthouse].idmManager)'/>
<Action id='0' process='Approval'>
<Argument name='user' value='$(user)'/>
<Argument name='approvalTemplate' value='AIO - New User Approval'/>
<Argument name='approvalForm' value='AIO - Approval Form'/>
<Argument name='approver'>
<ref>manager</ref>
</Argument>
.......... As far as I could investigate, the "approver" variable is passed to the "Approval" process, and this is seen in the logs:

 First rename the object in the repository. The last
 argument is an options map containing the name under which
 we will lock the object.
 Next rename it in memory so when the scheduler eventually
 saves it back into the repository it doesn't overwrite

Calculated keyfigures not defined correctly error when executing query
Hi Experts,
I changed calculations in the calculated keyfigures and saved successfully.
when I execute the query in BI7 Bex, I am getting errors like query element not defined correctly in the query. when I look into query in the designer its giving info messages for many calculated keyfigures saying reusable and saving can influence other queries.
I reverted back the changes but the errors still coming up. I tried to copy the query and run it ..still didnt helped..
Please suggest me with the solution..
Quick replies are much appreciated and awarded.
Thanks
VanajaHi,
The calculated keyfigure is the difference of two other calculated keyfigures...
I tried to re-drag and drop into keyfigures column and didn't worked and still getting the errors.
Please suggest some more..
Thanks

Java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00933: error when executing query
Hello,
I am trying to execute the following query from a jsp page.
String sqlUpdate ="UPDATE table_name SET name ='"+name+"', description='"+description+"', proj_link='" projlink"', active='" active"',sort_order='" order"',image='" image"',category='" category"', technology='" technology "' WHERE id="+id+" ";
stmt.executeQuery(sqlUpdate);
I get the follwoing error java.sql.SQLException: ORA-00933: SQL command not properly ended
When I omit "description" from the query it executes fine. But when I place it back into the query I get the above error. The table is in Oracle database and the datatype of description id varchar2(4000). I declared all the variables used in the query, I then assigned values caught from the form and then am trying to update the form varibles in the table.
Thanks,

Hello,
I am trying to execute the following query from a jsp page.There's a big part of your problem. You shouldn't be doing database stuff in JSPs. If you must, you should be using JSTL and its <sql> tags.
String sqlUpdate ="UPDATE table_name SET name ='"+name+"', description='"+description+"', proj_link='" projlink"', active='" active"',sort_order='" order"',image='" image"',category='" category"', technology='" technology "' WHERE id="+id+" ";Not using PreparedStatement here is just a silly noob error.

PreparedStatement will eliminate that problem.

I execute the same in RSRT1 with 'ABAP Web' , i got the same error message.
But when i click on "Genarate Report' tab i got "Text variable 0T_FPERY in "Variance &0T_FPERY&" cannot be replaced - value not found".
Can any one help me to solve the problem.
*Points to be assigned
Thanks
Raju.kPlease refer the note : 1091018
A query terminates with message BRAIN 299: "System error in program CL_RSR_RRK0_ATTR_C and form SELTO_SELDR_14-02-".
Reason and Prerequisites
This problem is caused by a program error.
The error occurs if a query does not contain any key figures, but a non-cumulative key figure has to be read becasue of the "Virtual Characteristics and Key Figures" user exit.
Solution
After you implement the corrections, you must regenerate the affected queries.
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI
Import Support Package 16 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 BI (BI Patch 16 or SAPKW70016) into your BI system. The Support Package is available when Note 1074388 "SAPBINews BI7.0 Support Package 16", which describes this Support Package in more detail, is released for customers.
In urgent cases, you can implement the correction instructions as an advance correction.
You must first read Note 875986, which provides information about transaction SNOTE.
To provide information in advance, the notes mentioned above may already be available before the Support Package is released. In this case, the short text of the note still contains the words "Preliminary version".

Error when executing query with variables in excel
When I execute a query in excel, it gives some errors if it has some variables (From Date, To Date etc):
Error Specify a value for variable From Date
Error Specify a value for variable To Date
I need to execute the query and then save a view. I want to do this in excel as I am not able to save a view if I execute in a web browser.Hi Sanjeev.
Of course Excel supports input of variable values.
What version of BW/BI both backend and frontend are you using?
Please check if you can execute the query in TA RSRT. You could try to generate the query again here.
Hope it helps.

Error when executing Query with user date settings = mm/dd/yyyy
Hi all,
I created a remote cube with datasource = TCURR table with proper conversion of the date etc.
The query on top of this remote cube works fine if my user date settings is set to dd.mm.yyyy
But when a user in USA, with user date settings = mm/dd/yyyy, executes the same query, they get a message
SYST: Date 31/05/2006 not expected.
Message no. FGV004
The input variable on the Query is on 0CALMONTH.
This message appears immaterial of what calmonth input I give.
has anyone encountered this error? if yes, what could be the solution please?
thanks
EmmanuelHi,
This is in regard to the user settings maintained in transaction /nsu3.Please follow the below link.

Internal Essbase JAPI Error (Report error when executing query)
Hi all,
I have a report that queries against an Essbase Reporting Cube. The reports prompt a JAPI error message when querying a parent level member that exceeds 256 members. The error displayed says that the number of columns on the report exceeds the allowed maximum of 256. Has someone experienced a similar error or know of a setting that can be set to allow the excess. Your feedback is appreciated. Thank you.Hi John,
Thanks for the feedback provided. In the report I am using the Descendants function and on the member of this function I am selecting a prompt. Does your statement applies to this function as well? The odd thing on this issue is that the same report works fine in my old version 11.1.1.3, but not in 11.1.2.1. Any ideas? Thanks! -
Hi,
I have a report created using the infoset as an infoprovider. There are multiple reports created with this infoprovider. Few of them are working fine and few of them are not. The error for such erroneous reports are as below. Recently we upgraded BW to EHP1 and the problem has occurred since the upgrade. The error is
EError reading the data of InfoProvider ZPA_IS01
EIllegal selection by InfoObject from outer join table
EErrors occurred during parallel processing of query 1, RC: 3
EError while reading data; navigation is possible
I>> Row: 54 Inc: WRITE_MESSAGES Prog: CL_RSDR_AT_QUERY
I have checked the query. It is fine. I compared the query with that of Production and even that is fine.
This issue is in the development and test environments.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
AlbinaHi,
Recently we went for BW upgradatiaon (BI7.0) , the error you are facing could be due to the following issue,
If infoobjects are used in infoset as infoprovider ( in BW3.5) after upgrade this infoobjects will not be selected automatically as infoproviders. So it will not be available for Infoset.
Please check whether any infoobjects are used as infoprovider, if so manually change them as infoprovider ( In BI7) and activate.
Since, few reports are working on the infoset , this could be those reports are not using the fields from the infoobjects. so it is working it seems.
Please check and let me know.
Thanks,

ORA-29902 Error when executing context query
We sometimes get the following error when executing a search based on keywords entered by a user:
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica">quote:</font><HR>Error generating context stmt ORA-29902: error in executing ODCIIndexStart() routine ORA-20000: interMedia Text error: DRG-50901: text query <HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
A demonstration of the error can be seen by going to the main
http://technet.oracle.com technet page and then performing a site search. Type in any of the following search phrases:
Oracle and not Microsoft
not Microsoft
and database
In my brief experimentation, the presence of any of
not, and, or
at the beginning of the keywords, or next to each other 'and not' within the keywords set causes the above oracle error.
OK, I could train the users not to do this, but with the potential for every net user on the planet using my site, it might take me some time to speak to all of them.
So how do I stop Intermedia from throwing up the error? I have written a quick parser to try to strip out offending entries, but that is not, imho, a good solution, as I do not know all the rules that will break it.
tiaYou need to write a text query parser. Check the Query Translator code samples from http://technet.oracle.com/sample_code/products/text/content.html

Error when executing function in MSS launchpad report ???
In MSS lanchpad report, we have the following problem:
Error in Manager Sef-Service
When calling the report, the following error occurred:
System: HRP
Error when executing function
Basically in MSS report, I select employees in the first iView which calls another ABAP query in back-end to display back-end t-code inside iView of portal through ITS service. What could be the reason for it? please advice.
Thanks,
AnthonyPlease try converting the standadrd-delivered scenario RPT0, then check
out the things.
Also problem may be that your function code names contain
the character '&'. This causes a problem when the selected function
code is passed to the ITS-WebGUI as a URL parameter. Please use only
standard characters (A..Z and _) when you define a function code.
Then it should work.
Please go through the following link also
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/3a/
3198408d953154e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm
Please test in backend using Se38 > PWPC_RPT_START_REPORT_TEST
The Reporting Iview in the portal has the Report category type, by
the report category type is set to "RPT0". Therefore, when the
application is launched, the reporting category type is also sent as URL
parameter to the backend system. As of ECC 6.0 only the reporting
category type "RPT0" is supported. ensure this is set for your custom reports if you are using own scenarion
then set in the Iview property of reports as well
ie example
1)Change the Iview property "Scenario" of the Reporting iview from
"RPT0" to your own "ZRPT", than this set of reports will work. however,
the standard reports will not work.
