I understand how this could be confusing but it's due to the authorization of the ADE software. Adobe would need to correct your account issue with the license

Charles P.: That is correct it is a free license but your account has to be associated with one license and yes the Digital edition is a ebook reader that our ebooks use for you to view

Well, just for the halibut I tried opening the book again today and , GLORY BE!, it worked.
Guess it may have taken overnight for Adobe to OK my license to their free ADE software. Also works now using Bluefire app as the reader on my android phone, although it was a pain
to get the book file in the right file folder for bluefire to see it.
I hope that time also heels the issue with all other Error Getting License users.

Im trying to install Eclipse Themes Editor from SDN. When I downloading/opening the file NW04SP14EclipseThemesEditor.zip, it is giving following error.
Cannot open file: It does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.
I tried many times to download the same file, every time i'm receiving same error and it is not downloading fully.
It is only downloading 6.30MB out of 26.2MB.

I ve installed WIN RAR from http://www.win-rar.com and tried to downlod the file 'NW04SP14EclipseThemesEditor.zip' from SDN and got below erroe messge,

Safari Errors When Uploading/Download

Whenever I download/upload a file the whole DrWatson thing pops up and Safari exits.
I've tried completely reinstalling Safari, but no use. Any ideas?
Only started happening recently (not even a week ago).
On a side note, I noticed Safari hangs a lot (especially on startup) If there are too many items in my history.
I have the latest version (3.2.1/525.27.1). Safari saves to my desktop and 'Always prompt before downloading' is unchecked.

Are you sure it is still the same underlying Adobe account that was used when then books were originally accessed, with just the password changed?
In that case, should just have continued working, but ... you are using the world's worst software so anything can happen.
Try deauthorizing the computer and reauthorizing.

Sometimes ADE gets its registration/activation confused and in a semi-authorized state.
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not help, and indeed installation can even trigger this state.

Another is "E_AUTH_NOT_READY"
This can often be resolved by completely removing any authorization using ctrl-shift-D to the Library screen on ADE (cmd-shift-D if on Mac).
Restart ADE, and then reauthorize with your (old) Adobe ID.
In extreme cases on the mac, the following extra step has helped some people. Navigate to /Users//Library/Application Support/Adobe/Digital Editions and drag the activation.dat file to the trash. While downloading a digital copy of a movie from Universal website, download was interrupted.
When I try to resume, I get error message 8328 "An unknown error occurred (8328) Please check the connection to the network & retry"

Since a Digital Copy download is attached to your Apple ID, the best option would be to delete the movie that is giving you an issue and redownload it via the iTunes Store past purchase option. I have included a couple articles that will show you how to process these steps.

Error when I download an application

Hello,
I connect my BlackBerry Curve 8520 to the PC via USB cable an try to download a certain application to my BlackBerry, but I click on download button I receive the following error message " App World Web Plugin Error: An error has occurred communicating with the BlackBerry App World Web plugin. Please restart your device and try again. If you have content protection enabled on your device, please disable and try again. ".
And also after I receive the above message my phone is not recognize by the PC (I can not connect to BlackBerry software desktop).
Can anyone tell me how can I solve this issue is very annoying?

Error when opening downloaded web page

I have downloaded a few pages from a website. Firefox says it can't find them (from the link contained in the root index.html file) . I can open the link with another browser (links). When I open the linked page manually, the name in the url bar of firefox get changed from http://www.blah1.com/?blah2&blah3.html to
http://www.blah1.com/%3Fblah2&blah3.html . Note: only the question mark ( not the &)gets changed. The name of the file on the disk, and the link itself in the root file are correctly spelled and identical.
I suspect this is could be related to this query [http://support.mozilla.com/en/questions/760105?s=url+encoding&as=s].
I have tried to change the character encoding from/to UTF-8 and ISO8859-1, but it doesn't work.
I am using firefox 4 on Linux

Error When i download cart.

When I go to buy my cart i get the following error message:

I hit "refresh" and then when i click "buy now" it brings up the error again. Plz help.

If it will let you, remove the items from your cart and re-add them. Then see if the purchases will go through.
If you can't even remove them, you'll need to contact the iTunes Store customer support department through the form at the bottom of their web pageand explain the problem to them. They can then clear your cart so you can start afresh.
