You have to be at least a "Power User" in Windows 2000 to run DIAdem in Windows 2000.
If you are a "Power User" and still ahve problems, please send me another message here and I will look for another solution.

Oiix.Spawn error when installing 9iAS EE on Windows 2000

I am performing a silent installation (with a response file) of
Oracle9iAS Enterprise Edition on Windows 2000 with 512 MB RAM.
At 59%, I get an error stating "This install was unsuccessful
because: oracle.sysman.oii.oiix.OiixSpawner. Would you like to
end this session now?" After looking at the InstallActions.log
file, the OUI is trying to spawn a command to invoke ORAINST (to
install the 806-based Discoverer). If I answer "No" to the
error dialog to continue with installation, I get the same error
every time the OUI tries to spawn a command, no matter the
command. I am able to copy the spawn command from
InstallActions.log to a command window and successfully run the
command manually.
Has anyone experience this before or have any ideas?

As per the technet article, I dont see Windows Server 2000 as a supported operating system to perform a P2v.

Permission Error when copy files into cmsdk using NFS with non admin user

Hi All,
We are using CMSDK with NFS protocol and we have created different users with ACL to control different access for users.
When we copy files into cmsdk folders using one of the admin user this works fine, even a multiple copy works fine. But when we use any non admin user , some time copy commands works but some time it throw a permission deny error. and this is happening very intermittently.
when we use ftp protocol and ftp file it's all works fine for the both admin & non admin user. Is there any limitation in using CMSDK NFS protocol
Did any one encouter any similar issue. Any pointers would be of great help.

ORADC problem on Windows 2000 with Service pack 1 and service pack 2

Hi,
I have a VB application running on NT4.0 workstations. It uses
ORADC control to talk to ORACLE 7.3 When I load it on Windows
2000 with service pack 1 or service pack 2, I encounter some
problems.
The ORADC control is used in most of the VB forms and the
Refresh method of the ORADC conrol is used to refresh the APEX
TRUE DBGRID PRO control. When this action is executed, I receive
a run time error
"Method Refresh of object '_DORADC' failed Err#: -2147417848
It works fine when no service pack is applied on Win2K.
Can anyone tell me what's going on?

I had tried using -Xms / -Xmx options (upto 1 GB).
The trace of exception gets delayed (from being displayed on the console) as the memory size is increased; but after sometime it starts getting displayed on the console.
Even though this exception is displayed on the console, the Timer Bean continues to execute upto sometime before it finally crashes!
If anyone has encountered such problem; would appreciate if you could share the solution.

Hi guys, I have the same problem. I have an application EAR file with two modules (EJB and WAR starting in this order). The application can schedule a process via EJB timer. In this case restarting the server I receive the error above. If I change the modules start order --> WAR - EJB the server start correctly, but the application scheduler fails (the persistency is not working) with this error:

If running 10.7 or later hold down Command-R at Startup.
This should invoke recovery Mode.
Choose Disk Utility.
Select your Hard drive. Inspect the SMART Status in the lower right of the window for "Verified".
Select the Mac OS X Volume (originally Macintosh HD) click (Repair Disk)
If errors, run again until it comes clean or gets stuck.
Report any error messages.

I had downloaded Aroura n thunderbird 14,but today when I started my lappy windows wasnt starting after diagonsis both softwares have gone!

I m using these software on my laptop:windows 7 home basic,tuneup utilities 2012,AVG internet security 2012(trial version)

Should I re-download those software?If I re download them,is it possible to happen again?How can I prevent this startup problem?

System restore will revert changes made to the "Program Files" folders, so in your case it removed Aurora and Thunderbird. You will need to download and install them again. Hopefully whatever problem you had with Windows was fixed so it should not happen again.
