Error when importing IDOC structure from SAP - Control record missing

Hi!
We are hitting problems when importing IDOCs from SAP into the Integration Builder. The import ends successfully but when we drill into the IDOC structure we get a message: Schema for type EDI_DC40.ASN_OUT.DELVRY01.Z1DELVRY (category Data Type) not found. This is only happening for one specific IDOC type only. We have checked all we can think of but cannot get this to work. Any help would be very much appreciated. Of course, points awarded for any good ideas. Thx, Duncan

Dear SDN,
I am getting the following error when importing Cost center and cost element hierarchies from R/3 DEV to R/3 QAS...
Object OSOA 0COSTCENTER_0101_HIER has not yet been imported successfully
Object OSOA 0COSTELMNT_0102_HIER has not yet been imported successfully
Ended with Return code ===8...
But The two hierarchies were available in R/3 QAS and also i am able to utilise..
My doubt is if i transport these hierarchies from R/3 QAS to R/3 Production any major issues...
Now i want to test a data in BW DEV from R/3 Production data...
So, I am planning to transport These hierarchies from R/3 QAS to R/3 PROD...
Here we do not have BW QAS...So, getting data from R/3Production to BW DEV and testing...
After testing Directly use in BW Production...
So, Please suggest me why when importing these hierarchies errors occuring???

Error when opening PDF files from SAP.

Hi Gurus
I have posted this question in ABAP Development section also. Please read the below text.
We are having a strange intermittent problem with Adobe Reader. When we try to open PDF files from SAP Frontend we get an error pop-up. The pop-up does not have any text. The title of the pop-up has "Adobe Reader". There is a blue question mark and an OK button.
This issue occurs few times a day in Windows Vista.
This issue does not occur in Windows XP.
Since past few weeks, we have been trying to find some error/warning/atleast some text in log files of SAP, OS, Adobe Reader, Registry entries, Event Viewer. So far, we have not found anything.
SAP is not able to help as this issue occurs intermittently and said when they tried, the issue did not occur. They made two attempts and in each attempt they tried 10 times to reproduce the issue. This issue occurs intermittently.
Environment
SAP R/3 4.7 EE SAP_Basis 620 Support Package 61
Windows Vista Enterprise
Adobe Reader 9.0 and Adobe Reader 9.1 (tried with both versions)
SAPGUI 710 Patch 12 (latest patch). It also occured in Patch 11.

Now I got to capture the screenshot, however not able to attach/upload here but it says:
'Reading Untagged Documents'
lets say i tried to open 6 page document then it said:
'This 6-page document is untagged and must be prepared for reading. While the document is being
analyzed, your assistive technology will not be able to interact with this application. '
then it asked for Reading options
then a checkbox for to confirm 'Always use the settings from the Reading Preferences (Do not show this dialog again)
then 'OK/START' and 'cancel' buttons
It seems, this is the problem with Adobe w.r.t Vista.

Download IDOC structure from SAP web Site

HI
to anticipate the SAP ERp upgrade, i would like to download the most up to date Idoc structure (for ADRMAS and DEBMAS) . Instead of download this structure from an SAP Instance , i would like to download it from SAP Web site.
Does anybody already do that ?
How can i proceed

Thanks for your input. I Know and i did that from a couple of years , neverthelss, each time you upgarde your system, you have to rewrite your development. My goal is to try to anticipate that by for exemple download the IDOC structure in advance . Let me say IDOC structure used by MySAP ERp 2007 instaed of SAP ERP 4.6. If i can download those STructure i will not be obliged to rewrite my Dev after each upgrade. Do you see what i mean ?

Password Error when importing IDOCs or RFC

After spending a long time figuring out why the import IDOC function in Integration Builder kept rejecting my password - it finally occurred to me to try it in UPPERCASE even though the password is in lower case it worked. I guess this is a bug in the logon module for importing RFC's and IDOCS as imported objects.

Error when importing photos/videos from iphone 4 into Picassa.....

When attempting to import photos and videos from iphone 4 into Picassa (v3.8) I get the following error message:
"An error has occurred while attempting to import. Either the source is unavailable or the destination is full or read only. (1)"
Any thoughts? I know this is an iphone specific issue as I was successfully able to import from another camera.
P.S Quicktime up to date and quicktime movies checked in Picassa.

I have the same issue. It started only after the most recent iPhone update though, leading me to think it's the phone, not iPhoto.
The pictures that do import are streaked/blurry with terrrible colour. I can still send them via email but they're smaller files.
Does anyone know another way to get my full-res pictures off my iPhone?
[edit] I found out that I could use Apple's Image Capture software, which worked like a charm but the pictures themselves are a mess. I'll have to try resetting.

Error when importing an application from EA2 to EA3

When I try to import a script generated from APEX EA2 to APEX EA3, generates the following error:

The application is fully funtional in EA2. I appreciate the attention given.

You encountered the situation David wrote about on his blog:
You may experience issues with exporting from EA2 and importing into EA3. We have found some issues with applications including charts. This is primarily due to changes in the chart export parameters and will not impact applications exported from earlier releases (APEX 3.2 etc).
So there is nothing to do about it. But EA2 (and EA3) is just for testing purposes, so no real harm can be done.

FUNCTION NOT IMPLEMENTED error when calling C# method from SAP, why?

I've build a server stub in order to get SAP calling my own methods that exist in the C# world, for that I developed several methods in a class that extends SAPServer and then implemented them...
I added the special custom properties needed (Abap Name, length, etc) to the function and to its parameters, I've made the ABAP code required to call it...
I've checked, every parameters that I place in ABAP (importing, exporting and tables) are also defined in C# (its 53 parameters) with the same name (in C# they are in capital letters and in a diferent order but I tried this before and it didn't matter)...
The name of the function is the same...
How can I get the 'FUNCTION NOT IMPLEMENT' error in SAP?
What's going wrong when I get this error?
Can anyone tell me?
Is there any place in this site that has a error description and possible reasons?
When I get a parameter wrong I get a different error (I tried to make smaller functions and they work fine).

I'll explain what I'm doing:
- we have a set of services made in a C and VB that are available using an API in C#, these services must be available to SAP. So I have a program that will see what parameters the API service requires and makes a proxy so that SAP can call these services.
To do this I must map SAP types with C#, build the function signature and then implement it. So I cannot use the wizard to do this
Now, back to the question, what kind of customer attributes I got wrong to get that exception? The most logic is the AbapName of the function but they are equal (the one called in SAP and the one in the customer attributes of the function)...

You want to access the name of a file sent through a File Adapter Sender channel from a custom developed XI module.

The functionality described in this note requires SP 9 or higher of the component XI ADAPTER FRAMEWORK CORE 3.0.
Solution
The File Adapter passes the name of the processed file to the module processor. This information is available in a Hashtable object accessible as as supplemental module data under the name "module.parameters" within the module's 'process' method.

Yes and No; If the structure in the Excel sheet is defined in XSD format (XML schema) then it should be possible to import it assuming you are using XI 3.0. In 2.0 this is not possible.
Not sure if in XI 3.0 you are allowed to import Excel files straight forward into XI.

I'm not quite sure but this looks to me like you have to implement this within a Java custom function/mapping...
The data (in this case the filename) is encapsulated in a Hashtable object available during runtime.

Error when generating IDoc from MC document - workitem to all the SAP users

A workflow item with the subject of Error when generating IDoc from MC document is sent to all the SAP users' inbox. Is it possible to stop the generation of this work item? If that is not possible, can we limit sending the work item to a specific user/agent instead of all the users in the system?
It appears that these work item or error message are generated when one of the developers reopen the POs and add line items. Moreover, during that time the procurement team blocked the IDOCs from going out to the vendors when changing and resaving the POs. Therefore, we need stop the generation of error message/work item when the IDOCs generation blocked.

Please check Rule 70000141which is the default rule for this task. Inside this rule a FM is attcahed which is reading table EDO13 and EDPP1 where agent is retrieved Probably this table entries are not maintained. This Workflow is getting triggered from Message cOntrol I think.

1.One is by change pointer concept i.e by executing the RBDMIDOC.We can generate the idoc and automatically to the inbound System.
2.By executable program also like bd10 and bd11.

Define the logical system names in both the systems.
Logical system names :SAP001
SAP002
SAP001 FOR 001 CLIENT
SAP002 FOR 002 CLIENT
These two logical system definitions should be present in both the systems.
Assign the logical systems to the client. (in both the systems)
Assign SAP001 to 001 CLIENT
Assign SAP002 to 002 CLIENT
you can See these in transaction SALE.
After this define the rfc DESTINATION IN sm59. (in both the systems)
In 001 client create the RFC destination name SAP002
In the tab log on security, give the user name and password and client of the 002 client and save it.
Similarly do the reverse in the 002 Client.
In 001 client create the port.(Transaction WE21)
Specify the RFC destination name as SAP002.
Now you can define the ports, (both the systems)
Create the partner profile for partner(ie gve logical system name of partner) , so give as SAP002.
partner profile in both the systems.
Now create the distribution model in BD64 and goto edit>model view>distribute.
The same model view will be visible n distributed to the partner system also..which in this case is sap002.
U may trigger the idoc from we19 and chk its status in we05.

Error when importing from Excel in SAP

Hello experts,
My gets error when importing price list using the import form Xl menu :
(-1200) DBMCconnBase::EndTransaction SQLEndTran sqlState 08S01, nativeErr: 0, errText:[Microsoft][SQL Native Client] Communication link failure
This happens only when connected with SAP Client, it never happens when connected in terminal server directly on SAP server.
Server 2003, MSSQL 2005 SP2
SAP 2007 Sp01 PL08 HF01
This has always been working before, it has stopped working when he changed the motherboard 3 weeks ago. Nothing else have changed.
Any idea where to look at?

Thanks for your answer. that would have probaly fix the issue
my techs fixed the issue by doing the 2 following thinks, i don't know if only one of them would have fix it.
1. in the boot.ini file there was a /3G in the end, restricting the memory to 1G for the OS. The tech deleted it.
2. in management studio, the technician changed the memory reserved for sql from 9/12 to 14/16Gb
there was probably not enough RAM available for the import.
since that change it works well.

I have installed BOXI 3.1 SP3, Integration kit SP2, BW/BI 7.0 and ECC 6.0 on Windows 2008/64bit.
My goal is to import the roles into CMS from SAP BW/BI but getting the follwoing errors:

Install the 32bit version of the Java connector. BOBJ is 32bit so even on 64bit Windows you need the 32bit version of the Java Connector.
