Error when installing Adobe XI Trial

Hello,
I get "The application cannot be installed due to a certificate problem.  The certificate does not match the installed application certificate, does not support application upgrades, or is invalid.  Please contact the application author." error when I try to install Adobe XI.
How can I fix this? My windows 7 computer has Illustrator C6, InDesign C6, Media Encoder C6, Extension Manager CS6, ExtendScript Toolkit CS6, Creative Cloud, Content Viewer, and Bridge CS6 Adobe products on it, if this info helps.

If by "Adobe XI" you mean Acrobat, I suggest that you ask in the Acrobat forum.

  • Error when installing Adobe Illustrator CS6 (64bit)

    Hello everybody,
I've been trying to install all packages inside Creative Suite 6 Design Standard CD but the installation fails, then decided to install one by one and noticed the error comes only when installing Illustrator CS6 (64bit).
My PC is runing windows 7 64bit and the error it appears says: win32 cabinet self-extractor stopped working.
Could anybody give me a hand with this issue, I already look on the web but couldn't find something that really helps me.
    Br
    Angie

If you are installing from a CD/DVD I don't think you have a Cloud suite
First, try the Next link for a "Chat Now" button near the bottom

For future product questions, you will most likely get better answers in the specific product forums
If you start at the Forums Index http://forums.adobe.com/index.jspa
You will be able to select a forum for the specific Adobe product(s) you use

  • No Internet conectivity/clock error when installing FB4.7 (trial)

    I follow these steps:
Install as trial-> (License) Accept -> Sign In Required (Click Sign In) [here I get the error: "Please connect to the Internet and retry: Either your computer is offline or the clock on your computer is set incorrectly"]
I've tried the "Connect Later" option that continues the installation procedure until the end, but when I try to open FB4.7 I get stuck at exactly the same point; it asks me to sign in and I get the same conectivity error.
    Any ideas?

    Hi Srikishan,
    Thanks for your fast answer.
I installed MaxDB DMB GUI from the directory:  \NWABAPTRIAL70206_64\MAXDBTOOLS
and logged in with username u201Ccontrolu201D and used the password I gave in the installation.
This was new for me and I learned something new about database management. Thank you for that.
I solved the error but it was just a really stupid mistake from me.
A friend told me once that when installing Netweaver I have to put the date in the future so that the license wonu2019t expire . So before I installed Netweaver I set the date to 2099.
That was the problem, when I didnu2019t do that then there was no error message.
    Again thanks for helping.
    Regards, Robin

  • Runtime Error when installing Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium

I am trying to install Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Production Premium, but I keep getting a 'Runtime Error!':  This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.  Please contact the application's support team for more information.
What should I do?  Any help greatly appreciated!  I am running Win 7, Service Pack 1, 64 bit.

We cannot know. Your information is hugely insufficient. Check Your Windows Event Viewer and tell us the "fault module" plus provide detailed specs for your computer. Runtime errors usualyl mean that A DLL is missing, a security tool is blocking critical functions or that the processor is not compatible in teh first place. Just as well this could be a driver issue with your SATA bus or whatever.

  • Getting Object already exist error when installing adobe reader

I'm unable to install any Adobe application programs on my Windows 7 machine.  I tried Adobe Reader XI, Lightroom 5.6, Photoshop CC, etc.  All resulted with "Object Already Exist" error.  I searched on Adobe site for fix, and there was one to delete Crypto file.  However, this resulted with the same error.  How can I install Adobe Reader?

Your approach is correct in identifying the error.  I used ProcMon from Sysinternals (now Microsoft) and came up with the following events leading up to "Object already exists" error.  The error occurs after opening C:\Users\%account%\AppData\Crypto\RSA\S-1-5-....... file.  If the Crypto directory is missing, MSIEXEC.EXE will create along with RSA subdirectory and file name starting with S-1-5.....  There were five NAME NOT FOUND events, and their sequence is
Windows Installer Logging item in HKLM\SOFTWARE registry
C:\Users\%account%\AppData\Local\Temp\MSI7058d.LOG (this file was created at the next step)
Windows Installer Debug item in HKLM\SOFTWARE registry
         FontSubstitution in HKLM\SOFTWARE registry
CTF Known Classes item in HKLM|SOFTWARE registry
I don't know which one causing the error, but my suspicion is the last one. But I don't know how to fix it.  Is there anyone who can give me insight to what is happening and how to fix it?

    Hi,
Please provide the windows installer log of Adobe Reader installation, it will be helpful to know the exact cause of filure.
To get the windows installer log follow the steps given below:
    1. Enable the Windows Installer logging on your machine. ( Find the help to enable Windows Installer logging at : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/223300 ).
OR simply create the following registry key:
    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Installer\]
    "Logging"="voicewarmup"
    2. Now get the Adobe Reader Installer from http://get.adobe.com/reader/enterprise/ .
    3. Now try to install Adobe Reader.
    4. If Installation fails, cancel it.
    5. Get the Windows Installer log which is created in %temp% directory. It is a file, that begins with letters "Msi" and have a .log extension.
    6. Share this file.
    Thanks.

With your phone (Symbian/S60), Adobe Flash Lite is updated with a firmware update only. I am not aware of a solution to update it yourself separately. Which webpages do fail for you exactly: Did you ask their each of their maintainers for a workaround already?

  • Error When Installing InDesign CS3 - Trial

    Hello,
I am on a Compaq PC with vista.
Yesterday I downloaded the trial version of InDesign and tried to install it. It only installed the "shared components" and I got a failure message for everything else. I called tech support - which didn't go very well. They just said I should purchase the software.....(which I would love to do after I make sure it works and is what I need.
I installed successfully the trial version on my husbands computer today -- and ideas on why it won't install on my brand new computer...
    Thanks for your wisdom!!

The InDesign Windows-forum would probably be a better place for Your question, this forum is dedicated to InDesign Scripting-matters.

  • Error when installing Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4

I have downloaded Lightroom but there was an ID problem and I unistalled it and have been trying to reinstall it. I get an error message where it says it can't complete the installation because it couldn't move the files (or something like that). I know it has nothing to do with my ID issue. I have unplugged my external HD that I run my iTunes, iPhoto, Aperture, Adobe Elements libraries (takes up too much space) on. I don't know exactly why I can't get it to install. I've logged out of both iTunes and App Store and restarted. Then logged back into both and still erroring out.

For some reason (after I posted) the problem was solved. I don't know what I did but it's done and installed.
