Error when loading program, invalid serial number

serial number is valid but for whatever reason it says invalid. this happen to me before a month or so ago when i purchased Premiere Elements 12.

Just out of curiosity, may I ask you why you post this in the Adobe Reader forum instead of the Premiere Elements forum?
The reason why I am asking is that so many people recently post here with questions regarding completely unrelated products. Is there a link somewhere that lead you here?

Error installing Acrobat.pro (Invalid serial number??)

I have a DVD set Adobe creative Suite 5 design standard which consist with 2 DVD for Design Standard and one (1) DVD for Adobe Acrobat 9 PRO (all Windows version)
I was try to install all DVD's on my win8.1 machine, but I coudn't install Acrobat 9 PRO.
When I was write down serial number which I found on Adobe Certifikate printed from "Obtain License Certificates" site

I have checked the serial number you have provided and it looks like a Volume Serial number to me. There are mainly two reasons why this error might pop up :
1) You are using the installer for a Retail product and using the volume serial number as that combination do not work.
2) You have a stand alone installer for Acrobat and not a suite installer.
I would request you to kindly navigate back to the licensing website and go to Licenses>Downloads and search for the download link for the Creative Suite 5 and then download Acrobat again. This should resolve the concern that you have.

Invalid serial number error message when installing Acrobat 7

I have my original software CD and serial number but understand that I need to use the downloaded program because Adobe no longer supports the activation code required for installing from the disc. I was under the impression that I was to use the original serial number. This is what I used when reinstalling my CS2 Photoshop in the same circumstances.
I downloaded 22001904.exe and ran it but when it gets to the serial number I receive invalid serial number message no matter how I enter the number. I even tried cutting and pasting from my Adobe profile, since I have registered the program w/ Adobe previously along with other Adobe programs.
Can you advise me how to proceed?

Invalid Serial number error given when reinstalling Acrobat 9 Standard. How can I reinstall?

I recently reinstalled Windows7 on my PC and am trying to reinstall Acrobat from the disk that came with my PC. I have the serial number from the Adobe product registration page. I am receiving the error "Invalid Serial Number". I checked for any remnant files in my PC and the registry, there are none. How can I get this install to run?

Invalid Serial Number when it's authentic and tied to my account (Adobe Acrobat XI Pro)

I have an authentic version of Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. Everything was working fine and then out of the blue the program starts asking me for a serial number.
When I enter the serial number that came with the purchase, the error message says "The serial number you entered is invalid. Please try again with a valid serial number. If the problem persists contact customer support."
Can somebody help?

I spent exactly 57 minutes on the phone with customer support yesterday, and after moving the SLStore file (license keys folder) and the software cache around, re-entering the serial keys, the program still returns an invalid serial key message.

I see that the number in my Adobe Account is a MAC serial number – I purchased both the Mac and Windows versions of the program. I tried to enter the serial number of the Windows version into my account and it says it’s already registered. Hello. I'm trying to install Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional using the Customization Wizard to create a transform. The serial number is for the volume license product, and I put this number in the space provided in the Wizard. Whenever I remotely deploy the msi file and the user opens the program, I get the following error: "You have entered an invalid serial number. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and enter in a valid serial number when asked." The program then closes. This does not happen when I install from the CD.
Each of the workstations is a Gateway E-4500S running Windows XP SP2. Adobe Acrobat 7 Professional is uninstalled prior to installation of Acrobat 8, and Acrobat 8 exists alongside Adobe Reader 8.1.1. No other Adobe products are installed apart from Flash Player.

Correct. The CD installation goes without a hitch. I'm using Attachmate WinInstall to try to deploy the software remotely. It worked fine for Adobe Reader 8.1.1, but it's been a bear for Acrobat 8. I'd be okay with a straight CD installation if it didn't involve fifty machines.

You not addressing Adobe here this is a user forum. You need to contact Adobe customer service via chat or Phone to find out if you sealed box was produced by Adobe or not. There are many scams out there.

Issue
When you try to launch Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard on a Dell computer, the program returns the error message, "You have entered an invalid serial number. Please re-install Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard and enter a valid serial number when asked."
Solution
Check the alm_config_files folder for a duplicate AdobeConfig.xml file.
Navigate to the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\Acrobat\alm_config_files
The following two files should appear in this folder:
AdobeConfig.xml
AdobeConfig.xml.aiwbf
Delete the AdobeConfig.xml file.
Rename the AdobeConfig.xml.aiwbf to AdobeConfig.xml by deleting the "aiwbf" suffix.
Launch Acrobat 8 Standard.
Additional Information
On some Dell computers, a duplicate AdobeConfig.xml file is created when Acrobat 8 Standard is installed. The AdobeConfig.xml file without the "aiwbf" suffix is written for a volume-license version. The correct AdobeConfig.xml file is given the suffix. When a retail version of Acrobat tries to read the volume-license AdobeConfig.xml file, Acrobat returns the error.

This is very frustrating! I can't get my program (CS5 Design standard) to load. I had a computer crash, and I get an "Invalid Serial Number" message every time. I'm using the same serial number that came with the program. What do I do next? I get sent into a loop of Q & A's whenever I ask a question. I have never seen a website with so many links before. Pam, Thank you! the problem is not finding the serial number. I have that by looking up my registration. The problem I am having is when running set up for the program you get to the serial number screen. I enter the serial number as emailed and verified by my account, then proceed with the 'next" button. That is when I receive the message, invalid serial number not a valid serial number go back and reenter. I try to reenter and still the same message.
Any other suggestions or do you know how to actually speak to a representative? If not it is time to scrap my new Adobe purchase and go back to Nuance's programs.

My principal has ordered a copy of Adobe Acrobat XI for a school computer. The disc came with a serial number for a Mac installation, which he is hoping to install on his macbook air. I am using Remote Disc to install it.
However, the serial number that comes both on the invoice and on the back of the CD sleeve is only 23 digits long and when entered gives an Invalid Serial Number error. I would love it if somebody from Adobe could contact me and get a replacement serial number that would be valid for the installation.
I'm not going to post the serial number here because of reasons.
