Error when Modifying Application

Hey Experts!
We've recently upgraded to BPC 7.0 - Microsoft 2008 DB. When I tried to modify one of our Applications for the first time, I get the following message:
Error message:: Access to the path "F:\BPC\Data\Webfolders\AdminTemplates\AuditRpt.rdl" is denied.
This occurs on Step 8 of the Modify Application Process.
I've ensured that the User ID I'm running this process under is a BPC administrator and has full Local Admin rights on the server. Any idea why this is occuring?

Hi Sean,
Do you have access to the application server? If not, please check with your DBA who created the ID for you.
My take is that your ID somehow doesnt have sufficient privileges because when you modify application through BPC, you are essentially modifying the folder on the application server.
Also, does your application has data? Try running the 'Clear' package to delete data from your application, then modify the application. See if it works!

I have an application built with an access database with several forms and web macros which is published on Sharepoint 2010. Through this application - not too big not too complex (ca. 10 tables / less than 2000 records at most) - I receive updates

I have been going through the cycle of developing and publishing new versions of the application on the same site for more than a year; suddenly, from severeal weeks ago on, I started receiving the following error affecting random tables (not always the
same) which crashes the compilation and publishing:

And each time the list is different. And of course I am no trying at all to change the name of any ID field !????

Please review the following steps.
1. Install .NET Framework version 1.1 and 2.0 on each application and web server. If required, remove the other versions of .NET.
2. Install the required .NET 1.1 Hotfix by going to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/899511. Since your operating system is Windows 2003 Server, install both 237428_ENU_i386_zip.exe and 237718_ENU_i386_zip.exe.
To configure the .NET server component, take the following steps:
1. Update your IIS properties as follows:
   a) Go to Control Panel Administrative Tools Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager .
   b) Within the Osoft Virtual Directory properties, uncheck Index this resource.
   c) Update your IIS properties (Web Service Extensions) to allow ASP .NET 1.1 by finding the Web Service Extensions
       property (the path to it differs for different operating system versions), and updating it to allow ASP .NET 1.1.
2. Verify that the IIS TCP port configurations for the Web and Server Manager components match your own IIS settings:
   a) In the ..\BPC\Websrvr\web\web.config file on the .NET server, edit the AppServer_URL parameter to indicate the port
       number assigned to IIS.
   b) In the ..\BPC\Server Management\OsoftInstall.xml file on the .NET server, edit the port<PORT>port parameter to indicate the
       port number assigned to IIS.
Please review the steps mentioned in the installation guide. Try to restart the BPC Components

I have installed MI Client 7.0 SPS 11 Patch 0 on Symbol Device ;OS Windows Mobile5.0
i have successfully completed <b>first</b> synchronization .
After that i assigned Mobile Component to the device and tried synchronizing.

Pl. suggest

I resolved it on my own guys !!!
Actually while downloading server url consists of hostname bcoz the hostfile entry in windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts was only hostname.
i entered FQDN name in the hostfile... It WORKED
Being Saturday and Sunday...i cud not get any help from forums...i was really worried and Guys we need to think on this :-?

Got Error when creating application server connection

Hi Guys...I am using SOA 10.1.3.1.0
I got the following error when creating application server connection
In Step 1:
I selected the Connection type as Standalone OC4J 10.1.3 (Why because I use this one)
In Step 2:
In this step I gave username and password (same username and password to connect to BPEL console)to authenticate connection
In step 3:
It is asking for Hostname, RMI port and URL path. My computer name is gopal-computer. I gave this hostname. RMI port number is 23791 by default. I kept this one as it is and URL path optional I think. I did not give any thing.
In step 4:
When I hit the test connection button its giving the following error
Error while getting remote MBeanServer for url: ormi://gopal-computer:23791/default:
Error reading application-client descriptor: Error communicating with server: Connection refused: connect; nested exception is:
javax.naming.CommunicationException: Connection refused: connect [Root exception is java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect]

basically, it's saying that it cannot find the class specified.
You need to include the class in your classpath.

This issue started occurring when we migrated CPS from M28 to M33
We currently have M33.45 in Dev and are still experiencing the same error when refreshing the application list.
To replicate the issue, I can login, click applications, click the redwood folder, then click the refresh button within CPS and receive the below error.

The error is in the admin guide
No timezone could be found to calculate this TimeWindowElement. This means
that the object that includes the TimeWindow should set the TimeZone to use
for the calculation of the TimeWindow, or a TimeZone must be set on the
TimeWindow or TimeWindowElement.
I do not see how this would occur within the application list.

I think you have already received this info via OSS - In case anyone else encounters this same problem - This issue will be fixed in a future version of CPS, planned for the M33-April release.

Error when installing Application Manager

Just purchased Creative Cloud subscription. Using Mac. Initial step is installing new Application Manager. When I do this the download proceeds, I am asked for my system password, then I receive the following error message: Adobe Application Manager Failed to Install.
So here's the issue that I suspect might be the cause -- I'm a developer running OSX Mountain Lion. I know you can't support unreleased software, but, if you've got a fix for this I'd really like to have it -- otherwise I'll be paying for Creative Cloud without being able to use it until this OS is supported.
Or perhaps Mountain Lion has nothing to do with this problem and you have other solutions to try??

Thanks for the quick response. I downloaded the full Application Manager installer and ran it. It started and immediately gave the error message: "Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem." I also viewed the package contents and ran the installer from there with the same result. I ran Adobe Support Advisor and it said: "Inspection could not identify any issues." I'm attaching a screen shot of all the dialog windows.

my step to create project :
1. in oracle from i create simple form ,in form just textA - textB and button arithmetic.
2. in command prompt, i'm type iff2xml90 (form_name)
3. run apex like http://localhost:8080/apex/ and login
4. i'm click Application Builder icon
5. click Migration on the right side of the page
6. on the Application Migration page, i'm click Create Project
7. i'm enter thr project detail and upload Forms Module XML File (i'm made in point 1)
8. project successful i'm created
9. i'm create Application and show Generate Application and enter the detail,next
but in point 9 have error when i'm Create Application.
the error is _"1 error has occurred * The project, "Penjumlahan" does not contain any Blocks associated with database objects."_
how fix the problem?

Error when modifying VM Memory - "Invalid minimum memory amount"

I am trying to modify a virtual machine's static memory setting using VMM 2012 R2 with UR 2. The VM is running on a Hyper-V 2012 R2 host cluster. Whether I use the VMM GUI or attempt to issue the command via VMM Command Shell, I get the same
result:

Resolve the host issue and then try the operation again.

The error indicates that I am attempting to set the VM memory to something less than 32 MB, but as shown above I am actually trying to set it to 4096 MB. I also get this error when I attempt to modify the value using Hyper-V Manager (or in this case
the Failover Cluster Manager). Note that I am not attempting to configure dynamic memory on this VM.
One more note about this VM - it was migrated from a Hyper-V 2012 host cluster performed by exporting the VM from the old host, and importing it to the new one.
Not sure if anyone else has experienced this error or if there is a work around.

Really what the error is not telling you, is that you need to set the value for minimum memory in addition to the value you are setting.

I have run into this issue what I had VMs that I migrated to Hyper-V 2012 R2, because the minimum was actually lower. Or it was empty if the VM had fixed memory. And now it can no longer be an empty setting.

Error When Modifying a Resource Event as Designate

Hi,
I'm developing an app for a conference room device using the C APIs and am having a problem modifying an event for a resource. If I use the same user ID as with which the event was created, everything works fine. However, I'm attempting to use an ID that is set as a designate for a group of resources, and when I do, I get a CAPI_STAT_DATA_UID_NOTFOUND error when using the CSDK_FLAG_STORE_MODIFY flag.
Here's the data I'm sending:

Here's some additional information on the problem and the sequence of events:
1) Open the connection using user ID that is a designate for the resource.
2) Change the user ID to the resource identifier ("?/RS=RENCI - Europa
Conference 520/") using CSDK_SetIdentity with the flags set to CSDK_FLAG_NONE.
The function call appears to work correctly and returns no errors.
3) Modify the event data using CSDK_StoreEvents with the the above data.
4) The error returned is: CAPI_STAT_DATA_UID_NOTFOUND. And the event ID is
correct.
I've tried both with and without using the CSDK_SetIdentity function, with the
same results.
Is it feasible to use this approach to have a resource be able to modify an
event that was created by another user? Or is the use of another ID with
higher privileges required? Such as 'SYSOP'? If the latter, obtaining SYSOP
privileges may be problematic as we are just users of the Calendar system and
not the owners.

Portal Runtime error when modifying: com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par

Hello,
We need some help because we get 'Portal Runtime error: iView: N/A Component Name:N/A' error when trying to access portal logon screen.
This is what we've done:
We've modified com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file and we've uploaded it but it doesn't work. Because of the error, we've overwritten this file with the original one but now it's imposible to access portal.
The situation it seems to be like before the modification of the .par file but we get the same error and can't access portal.
Please, do you know what could be the problem?

Here are the steps you would need to take
1. import the original par file into the NWDS and name the project as
    com.sap.portal.runtime.logon
2. Make sure the project name is com.sap.portal.runtime.logon
3. use winzip/winrar to extract the com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par file in
    a local directory
4.Under the lib you would find two jar files copy them and paste them in your project
   under dist>PORTAL-INF>lib directory
5.move the files cert....till umResetPass....jsp into the PORTAL-INF directory
6. export the par to the server in question
7. restart your server
This should solve your problem..
