Error when moving Exchange Public Folder Tree Hierarchy

Hello,
I am during the transition from Exchange 2003 to 2007.
At the end of migrating Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007 I have moved all the mailboxes, Public and System Folders have been replicated and moved, Mailbox Store and Public Store had been removed, Routing Connectors removed ...
I then created new Public Folder Container in Exchange Administrative Group (FYDIBOHF23SPDLT) and I attempted to drag and drop the Public Folder Tree Hierarchy from old Administrative Group to Exchange Administrative Group using ESM 2003.
During this I got the following error:
Access Denied.
Facility: LDAP Provider
ID no: 8007005
Exchange System Manager
Every public and system folders works fine (replicated to Exchange 2007), but the Public Folder Hierarchy is still on Exchange 2003.
Anyone has any idea how to continue decommission of Exchange 2003?
Regards,
Jacek

As I wrote before, when I tried to drag and drop the Public Folder Tree Hierarchy, I used account which had delegated Exchange Full Administrator role in Exchange 2003 and was also member of Enterprise Admins / Domain Admins in AD and Exchange Organization
Administrators in Exchange 2007. According to Sembee suggestion, it is more than needed ...
I think about manual deleting Public Folder Tree Hierarchy object from old Administrative Group (using ADSIEdit) and then recreating the new one in Exchange Administrative Group - using the following steps:
http://blog.bruteforcetech.com/archives/766
But I'm not sure if System Folders will be accessible then. There are many Outlook 2003 in organization, so "old" OAB access is necessary ...
I can take report of permissions for the problematic Public Folder Tree Hierarchy object using dsacls.exe, if needed (there are many ACEs in DACL on them). I can also check Effective Permission for user I used for moving.
But in both cases, I don't have any reference. I mean correct permission set for such object or necessary permission set for user used for moving.
Regards,
Jacek

  • LR4.2 - Error when moving files

I can repeatedly reproduce an error when moving files into folders within LR4.2.
My current folder structure is setup like:
    F:\pictures\YEAR\Folder name\Sub folder\
When I'm moving files from "Folder name" to "Sub folder" I will be moving approx 6 - 20 photos at a time when sorting them into sub folders. After a while of moving files, LR will stop allowing you to move files and will show up the O symbol with a line through it. Until you close and re-open LR will it allow you to start moving photos again.
I've had this happen 3 times on me now and is completely reproducible. As above, move a small amount of files from a parent folder into a child folder repeatedly and eventually it will refuse to move any more photos until you restart LR.

    Intel 520 Series 240Gb SATA3 SSD
    Lightroom 4.2 x64
Catalog recently optimised with no issues ever experienced with the catalog.

    Hi,
I experienced the same problem and error message this morning ...and found that the following steps will resolve the error (at least when using LR 3 on a MAC):
    (1) Open LR and rename all the files that you are trying to move by hitting the F2 button, (MAC shortcut)
    (2) Look for any images that may have a '?' mark next to them and resolve if required.  (The '?' indicates a file 'location' conflict within the catalogue, - ie you may have moved the files around outside of LR)
    (3) While still within LR ....highlight all the files that need to be moved ....and drag and drop them into your preferred new location in the usiual way.
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers

  • Error when reading Exchange Profile

    Hello everyone,
    I have a simple file=>XI=>file scenario.
The sender file adapter picks up the file fine.
File is put-to and retreived-by the queue just fine.
I then get the error "Error when reading Exchange Profile for system .. and client ..."
SLDCHECK gives error "Connection to SLD does not work"
LCRSAPRFC and SAPSLDAPI have been test and work fine.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

  • IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Error when reading Exchange Profile

    Hello Experts,
Currently i am working on an IDOC to file scenario, in which Data will be sent from ECC server (IDOC) to an FTP server via SAP PI, but when i try to send IDOC to PI, i am getting the following error
    in Transaction SM58:-
'IDoc adapter inbound channel: Error Error when reading Exchange Profile for system XID and
client 401 occurred in the IS pipeline' .
Can anyone please help me on this.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Naik

    Hello Experts,
Let me explain to you the whole scenario, We have two servers of PI, 7.1 & 7.0. Now the Java Stack of 7.0 is not working & Cache update of 7.1 is not happening.
Thats why we have linked ABAP stack of 7.0 with Java stack of 7.1. Now we can see the objects created under Java 7.1 in ABAP stack of 7.0 (SXI_CACHE).
Now we have done all the settings to create an IDOC to file scenario. All the RFCs are working fine, but when we send an IDOC from the ECC system to ABAP 7.0, we are getting the following error 'Error while reading exchange profile for system NW' in SM58 .
Now can anyone tell me what exact settings i have to change in the Exchange profile (Java stack of 7.1), so that the Java 7.1 & ABAP 7.0 connection is setup or do i need to change anything else.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Amit Naik

  • Why am I getting a -50 error when moving music to my iTouch?

Why am I getting a -50 error when moving music to my iTouch?

As Jim as stated, you do not want the OS, video app, and media all competing for hard drive access.
It may have worked before, but that doesn't mean will work henceforth, as you have learned.
A FW800 portable drive will cost about $75.00.

  • Error when moving multiple emails from one account to another

I have an IMAP account for one of my emails. I have recently changed web hosting and so changed this to a POP account. I don't want to lose all my emails, which is what happened to another one of my accounts when the web hosting was changed. So have opened a new account on mail which is the POP one. I want move all my emails from the IMAP to the POP. I selected all and clicked move but only half went over, now everytime I try to do the remainder I get an error message just literally saying 'There was an error when trying to move 431 emails across' Or something like that. Why is this happening and is there another way of doing it? It's justw eird that half of them moved fine and the rest stayed.

Try Mail/Mailbox/Export Mailbox which will move the mailbox to your desktop. Then Mail/File/Import Mailbox which will put the e-mails in an Import Folder in On My Mac. That will save the e-mails for you.

  • Error when moving a mailbox from one database to another using the EMS

Error "The database is excluded from provisioning. Please Select a different target database for the move"
Above is the Error i get when moving a mailbox to another database on the same Exchange mailbox Server 2013 using the EMS

    Hi MikeVATX,
Using the EMS I ran the Command
    below,
    Get-MailboxDatabase DBName | select name,*provision*
The result displayed that the Parameter IsExcludedFromProvisioning was set to True which i had to set to false by running the command below as per your guide.
    Get-MailboxDatabase -Identity DBName | Set-MailboxDatabase -IsExcludedFromProvisioning
    $ False
Then i was able to move the mailboxes.
It now works fine. Thanks for that solution.
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Exchange Public Folder Migration - Public Folder Mailbox "LockedforMigration"

    I've recently started a SBS2008 (Exchange 2007 - Latest SP3) migration to Exchange 2013CU6.
Most of the Migration has gone to plan however I've been following a few guides on the Public Folder migration and have seen more errors and time spent than what it is worth.
I've now decided to abandon the Public folder migration as there wasn't really anything of importance in the old 2007 Public Folders, and just setup a new Public Folder Mailbox and PF Folder on the 2013 environment, however... as I started with the migration
the 2013 Server is stuck in "LockedforMigration" mode and will not allow me to create a new Public Folder.
Is there anyway to forcibly 'unstuck/release' the "LockedforMigration = True value.
Or can I just start decommissioning the old 2007 Box and that will force the unlocking of Migration flag
By no means is this the only guide, but here is what I've been following if that will help
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj150486(v=exchg.150).aspx
    Thanks Ian

    Hi Ian,
According to the error message above, please make sure you are running the command as Administrator, and make sure the Administrator is a member of Organization Management Group and Server Management Group. Then try to run command to release "LockedforMigration
    $True".
Since Public Folders on Exchange server 2013 can't be coexisted with legacy Public Folders within an Org, you should delete Public Folder Database from legacy Exchange server 2007 first, then create a new Public Folder Mailbox on Exchange server 2013.
    Thanks

  • 800w error when synching (exchange server?)

    Hello,
Bought an 800w but haven't been able to synch properly since initially setting up the device. I get the following error when synching:
"The server could not be reached.  This can be caused by temporary network conditions."
Googled for solutions and came to the conclusion that the phone and/or PC thinks I'm on an exchange server as if I were at work. However, this is my home PC and it is not networked (except for wireless internet).
I'm thinking this is simply a settings error, but I don't know how to fix it. Any ideas?
    Much appreciated!
Post relates to: Treo 800w (Sprint)

Is the error when you sync "over the air" or when you connect to your PC? What kind of email do you have set up?

  • ML Automatically sorts files by name when moving from one folder to another.

Hello, i usually used to move a bunch of files like images or mp3s from one folder to another and in Lion, when moving like 20+ files to another folder, they was being placed where you clicked.
Seems that in ML when i move the same amount of same files, rather than placing them at the cursor, it just moves them and sorts by name. How to avoid this?

  • RPC error when configuring Exchange 2013 servers in 2nd site

Hello. I'm running into an error when trying to configure any of my Exchange 2013 servers in my 2nd AD site. To get into the loop of what my server structure looks like, please check below:
    Site 1 servers:
    DC1 - Domain Controller
    DC2 - Domain Controller
    CAS1 - CAS server
    CAS2 - CAS server
    MBX1 - Mailbox server
    MBX2 - Mailbox server
    MATHAFTMG - TMG server
    Site 2 servers:
    CCCDC1 - Domain Controller
    CCCDC2 - Domain Controller
    CCCCAS1 - CAS server
    CCCCAS2 - CAS server
    CCCMBX1 - MBX server
    CCCMBX2 - MBX server
    CCCTMG - TMG server
Currently I have a site-to-site vpn connection between site 1 and site 2 TMG servers via Internet connection; I can access the servers of the other site perfectly (whether I am in Site 1 or Site 2).
All user mailboxes are currently in Site 1 MBX servers; when users are in Site 2, they connect to the CAS servers in Site 1 to access their mailboxes.
Many users will stay permanently in Site 2, so it makes sense to have Exchange servers in Site 2 to provide faster access to mailboxes. I created the Site 2 domain controllers, and made sure AD replication is working; and it is. I then added the MBX servers
and CAS servers in Site 2 in this order: CCCMBX1, then CCCCAS1, then CCCMBX2, then CCCCAS2.
All Exchange servers in Site 2 installed beautifully. But then I tried to access the servers via ECP to proceed with the configuration. In ECP, I click on the server link, and all Exchange servers in both sites appear. If I try to configure the virtual directories
of Site 1 CAS servers, no problem. But when I try to configure virtual directories of Site 2 CAS servers, I get this error message:
The task wasn't able to connect to IIS on the server 'CCCCAS1.domain.com'. Make sure that the server exists and can be reached from this computer: The RPC server is unavailable.
The virtual directories issue is just an example. Same thing happens if I try to configure Outlook Anywhere for Site 2 CAS servers.
Users connect to Site 1 CAS servers via mail.domain.com. I have the A record mail.domain.com pointing to the IP address of CAS1 server, and another A record mail.domain.com pointing to the IP address of CAS2 server. Not the best load balancing going on here,
but it works great with Exchange 2013.
From mail.domain.com I can access OWA and ECP internally and externally; no problems there. From ECP I can access and configure any Site 1 Exchange 2013 servers.
The only problem is when I access ECP to configure the Site 2 Exchange 2013 servers, I get the same error message:
The task wasn't able to connect to IIS on the server '<server name>.domain.com'. Make sure that the server exists and can be reached from this computer: The RPC server is unavailable.
Even if I try to access a Site 2 Exchange 2013 server via https://localhost/ecp to configure it, it get the same error message.
I updated all Exchange 2013 servers in both sites to CU2 v2 and rebooted the servers in the proper order; problem still there.
Any clue what might the problem be?
    Thank you!

and CAS servers in Site 2 in this order: CCCMBX1, then CCCCAS1, then CCCMBX2, then CCCCAS2.
    Thank you!

  • Why don't permissions get set correctly when add to Public folder?

When I add files to my Public folder I expect the permissions to match my public folder. In particular, they should be readable by 'others'.
Often the permissions don't update. The result is that other users can't read files in my public folder. I have to manually apply the default Public Folder permissions to all enclosed files.
Is this only a problem on my machine? How would Public Folders work if they didn't update permissions when files are added to them?
BTW, I run as a regular non-admin user. I enter my admin un/pw only as needed. It's a good practice.
PS. I've repaired permissions, but that's a superstition anyway.

The "Public" folder in OS X is just a regular folder - it won't modify anything added to it. In the context of file sharing, the sharing of folders can be configured so that items copied from one computer to another will have their permissions modified, but this only applies to file sharing, and by default, only to a folder with "Drop Box" permissions (ie. "write only").
Regarding "read" access of files, in general (there are exceptions) files or folders created by a user are, by default, created with permissions such that everyone (user, group, other) gets at least "read" access - it shouldn't be necessary to change their permissions before making them available to others via the "Public" folder. If items don't have at least "read only" access, this suggests that the default permissions have been set to something more restrictive (possibly via a 'NSUmask' key added to the ".GlobalPreferences.plist" file). Or perhaps the files are coming from some other source. So this suggests that either the problem concerns a non-default configuration or a special case, but unfortunately there isn't enough information in the post to comment on what the problem might be.

  • E71 Imap4 Exchange Public Folder Issue

    Hi All,
I am trying to find a way to easily access a Public Folder on my E71.
We share Support e-mails via an Exchage Public Folder.
Mail for Exchange only accesses the Inbox which is disappointing for what is supposed to be a Corporate Application.
E-mail access via IMAP4 correctly shows all Folders/SubFolders EXCEPT none under "Public Folders/". I have checked that these are accessible via Windows Mail so I know that it should work.
Does anyone know why I can't see the folders under Public Folders or have a suggestion for accessing Public Folders on the E71 (preferably without recourse to 3rd Party Software). For a "Road Warrior" phone it does seem a glaring omission in functionality.
    Thanks in advance,
    Adam

    Hi,
Please check the replica for "SCHEDULE+ FREE BUSY", right click the folder and then select Properties. In the Replication tab, please confirm there is a replica. If there is no replica, add one public folder database as a replica for the folder.
After that, please restart the Microsoft Exchange Mailbox Assistants service to check the result.
    Best regards,
    Belinda

Using sharepoints you can create a public folder anywhere on your mac. You can also setup an external volume as a sharepoint on your network.
