I found this on another post and it sounds like the same thing that might be going on with your recovery. I would suggest trying the following:
Several reasons can cause this
Hard drive is failing, test it, report back any error codes if they appear.
Test the hard drive then the memory modules.

If you are recovering using the hard drive and Not DVD's
The recovery Image on the hard drive is corrupt, you will need to use HP recovery DVDs to restore the notebook

That error often indicates a hardware failure.Try restoring a few more times. If it consistently gives you that error, make an appointment at the genius bar to have it looked at.

I recommend trying this method if you see an "error 1669" when restoring your iPhone:
Check for hardware issues
Related errors: 1, 3, 10-47, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1014, 1000-1020, 1669.
Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. If you still see the error message when you update or restore, contact Apple support.

Error when reading preview code

While loading images to LR 5 I received the following,
"Lightroom encountered an error when reading from its preview code and needs to quit.
Lightroom will attempt to fix this problem the next time it launches."
Every time I launch Lightroom I get this message. When I click OK, the program closes. Basically can't do anything.
Please help!

You need to trash the preview cache. It’s in the main catalog folder.
Delete the folder with the ending Previews.lrdata
The default location for the Lightroom folder is normally Pictures/My Pictures if you did a standard installation.
Re-launch Lightroom after deleting the Previews folder.
N.B. do not touch files ending .lrcat

Hello all...whenever we attempt to launch the t-code CRMBS02 or BS02, we get a popup that says:
Error in object editing: This syntax cannot be used for an object name
Selecting the documentation drop down provides:
Message no. TK103
Diagnosis
The syntax of the transferred objects is incorrect. R3TR BSVS made this check.
This could be caused by the following:
The object type R3TR BSVS is unknown
The syntax of the object name is incorrect
The object is a component of a system object
System Response
The function terminates.
Procedure
Correct the syntax.
Any suggestions? When this occurs, it does not enable editing and allows for display only. I have SAP_ALL assigned to the user, so I don't see any authorization errors when I trace the transaction code.

Tasks template of type T and Workflow Task of type WF, are no more used after release 45b. The were substituted by the TS Templates and by Workflow Template.
Please notes: 114811 -
From release 4.5 onwards only WS/TS tasks can be created via the standard workflow editor transaction however WF tasks created in previous releases may still be maintained. If it is important to be able to create WF flows in release 4.5 then you may still do so with transaction PFWF. This transaction has been removed from the menu to encourage the use of WS flows wherever possible.
A copy utility to copy WF flows and it's components to WS flows will be made available to speed up the transfer to client independent flows.
"Check also note: *152871 Release Upgrade considerations for workflow 3. WS / WF workflows (all releases)
"From Release 3. 1 onwards, it is possible to create customer workflows
of type 'WS'.
Solution: If you have 'WF' workflows, they will continue to run after an upgrade. You can modify them too. However, some of the new features of future releases only apply to 'WS' workflows. See note 114811 for a complete discussion of this subject.
You should pass from T and WF templates to the New WS and TS templates.
1) In relation to workflows of type 'WF' (Workflow Task) and task 'T' they have not been developed since release 40B, instead the Workflow Template (WS) was introduced and Tasks 'TS'. This error has seldomly
been observed in the case of trying to work with WFlow tasks of type WF instead of type WS.
Existing WF will run also in higher releases, however if you change a WF task in a higher release it may produce dumps or numerous errors. This is valid too for Tasks.
Please refers to note 114811.
If you want to change them please copy them first to templates type WS or TS rather than WF or T. Use PFTC in order to copy them and then you can make the changes and you will have much more functionality than type
WF or T.

when i Backup Full from server A ,i copy that Backup files to Server B (aa new server),i restore spfile và control file from BK files,then i mount (alter database mount ) to restore database , it show error message ORA-01103: database name 'ORCL' in control file is not 'DUMMY' , i tried to shutdown immediate and then startup mount again , but it show other error message RMAN-04014: startup failed: ORA-00845: MEMORY_TARGET not supported on this system

Error when executing Java code, java.lang.NoClassFoundError:

Hi, I am new learner in Java Programming and I am using J2SDK and notepad to write a code. I don't have problem in compiling using javac filename, however I received an error when executing using java filename.
The error message I got is Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Hello/jawa.
I have verified this simple code - Hello has no issue but somehow it does not run. I even try to compile and execute in other computer also the similiar error returned.
My Client Platform is Windows XP Professional.
I would appreciate any expert can help to suggest me the knowledge/solution to fix this kind of error. Thanks

It looks like you entered the command "java Hello.java" or "java Hello/java" (I assumed 'jawa' was a typo.)
You should have entered "java Hello" if your class name is Hello. I am guessing that Hello.java is probably the source code file name. The argument to the java command is the fully qualified class name. "java Hello.java" tells the java command to look for a class named java that is in the Hello package.

Errors when restoring

so i have a 3gs 6.1.3
i want to restore because my phone is a bit glitchy now
so when i go to itunes and try to update and restore
it says extracting software and after that verifying iphone restore with apple
it sometimes stucks there or gives me a "this iphone could not be restored error 3014
and sometimes "The iphone cannot be restored at this time because iphone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable please try again later "

Disk Utility error when restoring a drive to another drive: Error 6

"Device not configured."
I have a 24" iMac with a 250gig hard drive, and a firewire enclosure with a 160 gig hard drive. The iMac has a windows partition that I am trying to back up on the firewire drive, so that I can repartition and make the windows section bigger, but I keep getting errors when trying to restore.
If I uncheck erase destination, and then click restore, it starts to copy for a few minutes, but after 2-3 gigs of copying I get another error:
"Restore Failure An error (2) occurred while copying. No such file or directory"
This happens again and again and again and again. Any ideas?

Thanks for the different responses. Just a few more details. My internal hd is only using 63 of 100g.
So I don't think the disk space issue for disk utility would be the answer to my particular problem. I have also tried using superduper to back up this same drive; however, it would not complete the task either. Would it be better to just back up the user folders separately and maybe the applications folder and then just use the mac os dvd's to install on my new drive? ( I don't guess backing up the applications folder would do any good; they would have to all be reinstalled. ) Just trying to find a way to get this done without having to do to much reinstall work. Any other ideas?

We have a Production database with instance name PROD.
We use Symantec Netbackup software to backup this database to tape library.
We want to test some recovery scenarios on a test server. So we want to restore the production backups from Tape to this test server.
We did the following:
Cloned the ORACLE Home to the Test Server.
Changed the db_name parameter to PROD and also set ORACLE_SID to PROD.
then we connected to RMAN and ran the following command to restore the control files:
