Error when running script from OTM

Hi team,
Customer is trying to run script from OTM but is getting a "JWG file does not exist" error. I found the following metalink note and the customer has verified that the repositories are defined with exactly the same names & paths in OTM & Openscript.
Scripts Failing To Play Back From OATS Test Manager (OTM) (Doc ID 1587941.1)
I've also checked the following post in the forums but this doesn't apply to the customer because both the OTM & agent are on Windows:
https://forums.oracle.com/message/10707963
Appreciate any pointers
Thanks,
Krishna

Hi Krishna
Is the agent running as a windows service or started from an interactive batch?
What kind of script is that? Web, Forms, Siebel, other?
Are they different repositories or the same? If different, how do you copy scripts from one to the other one?
Cheers
JB

  • Loading script "script path-name" failed (0xC0000006) error when running scripts from DFS

    We have this issue where any number of random scripts that execute at startup will produce the following error when run from DFS:
    The status code for this error equates to STATUS_IN_PAGE_ERROR - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The required data was not placed into memory because of an I/O error status of 0x%x.
    This does not always happen each time and the script can be random. If we move the script(s) to a non DFS, we do not see this. I believe the issue is being caused by a minute disconnect to the DFS for whatever script is attempting to execute at that
    moment. This happens across a few (consistent) offices on different computers.
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you run scripts in a shared folder which is added to a DFS Namespace, then the error prompt. However, you can run the scripts when you directly access the shared folder.
    What scripts did you run? Is there any error message in the Event Log? If so, please provide us the detailed error message for our further research.

  • Issues in running scripts from OTM

    Hi ,
    I have created an endtoend scenario where the script starts from creating requistion, approval, PO creation approval , receipt creation then Invoice and payment.
    My script failing with different reason for different runs. Mailnly its failing whenever the steps are referrred to Standard Oracle Forms.(Eg: Invoice Batch, Receipt Form etc).
    I am running this from machine where Openscript and OTM is installed.
    I tried the command line arugment like " -delayPercentage -1 -delayMin 1 -delayMax 20 " while running the script from OTM. Still issue is same. If I am not using this commad the script steps deviates and failing. I mean in script the step is to choose some responsibility A it is choosing B. To override think times recorded I have used thread.sleep(2000) after every thinktime entry to run it from openscript.
    and to run it from OTM I am using above command.
    Now can anyone suggest me is anyother way that we can overcome these timeout errors. Am I using command line argument in correct way ? Please help

    Hi,
    First try your playback from OpenScript.
    Before play back go to View -> OpenScript Preferences -> PlayBack -> Oracle EBS/Forms Functional
    Increase timeouts in Event Timeout. Also Increase timeout in Web Functional (Object timeout)
    Then Apply and OK
    Now try play back from OpenScript

    Everything runs fine from the Designer. I can execute the scenarion using the agent from Designer no problem.
    Any idea on this error? Sounds like a path error, but I've checked everything.
    Thanks in advance.
    Nick

    I believe i have the answer.
    When are you are triggering via ODI Designer its going and reading from this folder path Oracle_ODI1\oracledi.sdk\lib
    Now there is another Folder called Lib which has the re.py causing which enables Designer to run the re module perfectly.
    When the same scenarios is being called via startscen it reads the Oracle_ODI1\oracledi\agent\lib and here there is Jython.jar is there but Lib which contains the re.py is missing.
    Temporary Solution - Copy the Lib from Oracle_ODI1\oracledi.sdk\lib to Oracle_ODI1\oracledi\agent\lib and call your startscen again .It should work.
    The reason i am calling this a temporary solution is that we would need to modify the odiparams accordingly to read from the right path namely(Lib) and i dont have much time to look at it now. i will look into it later.
    You can try if this works and if you want you can check with metalink if there is proper solution or reach Oracle Support for more appropriate solution or any other experts who have experinced the same can update the solution.

    web.show_document(vc_url, '_blank');
    END;

    Michael,
    print out "vc_rep_job" to a message or alert to see if this contains a valid number. If this shows as a valid number try to manually type the access URL into a browser URL field. If this shows then you have a hidden character within your URL.
    The PLSQL code looks okay.

    After review the log, I found the select statement was fail, the SQL below was wrong:
    SELECT DISTINCT
    S_ADDR_ORG.CITY,
    S_ADDR_ORG.COUNTRY,
    S_ADDR_ORG.COUNTY,
    S_ADDR_ORG.PROVINCE,
    S_ADDR_ORG.STATE,
    S_ADDR_ORG.ZIPCODE,
    '0' AS X_CUSTOM
    FROM
    V_ADDR_ORG S_ADDR_ORG
    There is no table V_ADDR_ORG but S_ADDR_ORG in the Siebel transaction database. So I don't know why it generate this sql when transfering data to OBAW. This is the out of box bi application.
    Experts! How could I fix this problem?? Please help, thank you very much!!
    Best regards,
    Ryan

    Ryan,
    Yes you missed to create views for source tables. so in dac design>> tables tab, select any table and right clieck on it then click on change capture scripts>> generate view scripts. it will ask you whether it can generate script for all the tables. so it will generate view script for you. now run the entire esript in source database. then your problem will be solved.
    if this answered your question . make my answer correct.
    Thanks
    Jay.

    Sqlcmd: Error: Error occurred while opening or operating on file C:\ewApps\Source\MyIssueApp\Scripts\DBScripts\issueUpdateSchemaVersion.sql (Reason: The system cannot find the path specified).

    Declare @ScriptVersion ='1.1'
    Declare @TargetScriptVersionNo = '1.1'
    Declare @DBServerName VARCHAR(50)= 'remote-a'
    Declare @DBName VARCHAR(50)='mydb'
    Declare @FilePath NVARCHAR(MAX)= 'C:\ewApps\Source\MyIssueApp\Scripts\DBScripts\issueUpdateSchemaVersion.sql'
    DECLARE @UserName VARCHAR(10) = 'sa'
    DECLARE @Password VARCHAR(20) = 'sql1k9@abcd'
    DECLARE @Command =''

    the generated string @command is -
    sqlcmd -S ewp-dev14 -U sa -P sql2k8@dev14 -d a -i "C:\ewApps\Source\MyIssueApp\Scripts\DBScripts\issueUpdateSchemaVersion.sql" -v SubScriptVersion='1.1'
    and also

    i think this is a long path related issue, but when i pass a small path, it works like c:\ewapps\issueUpdateSchemaVersion.sql, but i cant use small path , the path mentioned above is mandatory..
    i dont have any space in my path still i have tried it by applying both "" (double codes) and without double codes but its not working, and showing following error-
    Sqlcmd: Error: Error occurred while opening or operating on file C:\ewApps\Source\MyIssueApp\Scripts\DBScripts\issueUpdateSchemaVersion.sql (Reason: The system cannot find the path specified).
    all the above parameters are coming from a batch file.
    Note- My this server is at TFS, can it be an issue ?? please help...

    Yes, files are properly located.
    than what can be the solution for this ??
    Double-check and triple-check. Computers rarely lie. If the machine says The system cannot find the path specified that rarely means
    I'm just too lazy be bothered right now, and that's why I don't find it.
    Run "xp_cmdshell 'DIR'" on various parts in the path to troubleshoot:
    xp_cmdshell 'DIR C:\ewApps\Source\MyIssueApp\Scripts\DBScripts\issueUpdateSchemaVersion.sql'
    xp_cmdshell 'DIR C:\ewApps\Source\MyIssueApp\Scripts\DBScripts\'
    etc, with and without quotes.

  • Getting zero-sized reply error when running report from SQL query

    Hi,
    I have a Report from SQL Query in Portal. When I select Excel in Output Format and then run the report, it works properly, but when I select HTML in Output Format, the report works if the rows returned are not so many (I've been able to display the report for up to 701 rows), but when I try selecting a value from the LOV that selects many rows, I get the following error:
    ERROR
    The requested URL could not be retrieved
    While trying to retrieve the URL: <data suppressed>
    The following error was encountered:
    Zero Sized Reply
    Squid did not receive any data for this request.
    Any ideas on how to fix this? Why does the number of rows returned affect the report this way?
    Thanks,
    Lorena

    Problem comes when any of the filter is applied in any one of the cases selected from the GUI.Do you mean that the problems only shows when you run the report in your browser via 9iAS?
    Which version are you using?
    Can you post the before report trigger?

  • Errors when running db_stat from command line

    Hi,
    I'm trying to use db_stat at the command line to generate statistics.
    However, I keep getting errors. I cannot use the db->stat call
    because this is to be done at a customer site using their existing binary.
    Note that the call to db_stat -m fails, while the call to db_stat -d <dbname>
    prints an error/warning then appears to succeed.
    Most likely, there is some usage subtlety that I have missed.
    Any suggestions about what I have done wrong?
    I am using BDB 4.6.21 on Windows. Databases are created inside a
    db environment.

    If I'm reading your code correctly, you're starting a Korn shell session, then executing your C shell script as if you were at at the session window's prompt. If that is correct, you haven't caused your standard out (stdout) to hit ENTER yet. I'm not an expert, but I hope this works for you.
    Your code:
    Process Child = runtime.exec("/usr/bin/ksh"); // execute command
                            BufferedWriter outCommand = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(Child.getOutputStream()));
                            outCommand.write("/home/mypath/tesh.csh");
                            outCommand.flush();I think you need to enter one extra line before the flush():
    Process Child = runtime.exec("/usr/bin/ksh"); // execute command
                            BufferedWriter outCommand = new BufferedWriter(new OutputStreamWriter(Child.getOutputStream()));
                            outCommand.write("/home/mypath/tesh.csh");
                            outCommand.newLine();  // hit ENTER
                            outCommand.flush();P.S. If you're running this script and your Java program from the same UNIX machine, you could just execute the shell script inside the runtime.exec() call.

  • DatabankedFile error when running script in ELoad

    Hi,
    I have a script that we are using to import a bunch of records into one of our defect management tools. As part of the script, some attachments need to be uploaded to the server. My e-tester script running in navigation editor runs just fine, but when I play it back in E-Load it errors out when it hits the page with the DatabankedFile variable which contains the contents of the file to be upload.
    Is there something I'm missing that its working in nav editor but failing during e-Load playback?
    My DatabankedFile properties looks something like this:
    DatabankedFile :
    Encode : False
    FileLocation : C:\tmp\MyTestAttachment.txt
    InternalValue : {{_file_C:\\tmp\\MyTestAttachment.txt}}
    Type : File
    Thanks!
    Jim

    This wouldn't be the first time that debugging code has caused my problems.  I tried a little experment and reduced my script even further to
    main();
    function openEvent()
    //noop
    function main()
            var eventListener1 = app.addEventListener("afterOpen", openEvent, false);
    and that still threw the same error.  I don't see how it could be any simpler than this.  So was afterOpen in CS4 completly and utterly broken?  It can't be, there might be something I was doing horribly wrong.  I went back to the scripting guide and found that I was missing
    #targetengine "session"
    Which I believe was suggested earlier by Harbs.  Adding that in solved the problem.  Thanks for your help!
