Error when selecting depreciation area as real dep. area

When trying to create a new derived depreciation area and select it as real dep. area in order to be able to post values in FI-GL, I get an error and the system does not allow me to post. I´m working with version 4.6 and need to post values in GL from a derived area. Can anyone help me?

And is it possible to post in the derived area even though it is not real?
I´ve set the depreciation area as to post only depreciation but when try to assign accounts it does´nt let me
the error says:
There is a separate maint. transaction for
assgnmt in area 11
and then I click and I get the following answer:
Please maintain area 11 in FI-AA Customizing:
Under Investment Support if depreciation area 11 is an investment support area.
Under Reserves for Special Depreciation if area 11 manages special depreciation
But the derived area is not an Investment support nor a Reserves for Special Depreciation area.

first question is: have you really manually posted a Documents within dep.doc.number range
If you post with RABUCH00, note 193984 could be relevant for you.
Check if the intervall in Table TABA don't fits with the Intervall in BKPF.
Example:

I found error when run Depreciation Posting Run for period 7 2007.
FYI. I had run Unplanned Depreciation (TCode: ABAA) with document date 31.10.2007 and posting date 31.10.2007, trans. type 640. If you searched the notes, as Dan proposed (and didn't find anything relevant), and the answer to the Greg's question is positive, then I would suggest regeneration data basis and ConsArea due to data model inconsistency.
If it doesn't not help - open customer message to SAP.

Stop Depreciation for a specific Dep Area

I am able to stop depreciation for a specific period. My requirement is to stop depreciation for a specific Depriciation Area -01. My client has 4 dep area's (01,02 & ..). Depriciation has stopped in both the depriciation areas (01&02). I had activated Asset shut down and increased the useful life only for Dep Area 01 & not Dep area 02. Both Dep Ar. 01 & 02 use the same Dep Key. Client requirement is Dep has to be stopped for a specific period and specific Dep Area(01). I had stopped dep for a specific period but this has stopped for both the dep area's (01&02)..
Is there a solution to the above. Please let me know if any.

Error when selecting volume

Hello,
I just restarted my Maxtor external hard disk (which I use for time machine) because my Mac did not recognize it anymore.
Now it does but I get an error when selecting the volume for Time Machine. The error says:
"The file '.0011246f8842' can not be saved in the map 'Time Machine-reservekopieen'."
Does anybody have a clue what I need to do to get my Time Machine working again?

I'm not sure if that's the same message, but it sounds like a common permissions problem.
Try this: Open the Terminal app (in your Applications/Utilities folder).
In Terminal, the prompt looks like this: user-xxxxxx:~ <your name>$
(where <your name> is your short user name). It's followed by a non-blinking block cursor (unless it's been changed via Terminal > Preferences).
At the prompt, type the following exactly as shown, substituting the name of your TM drive exactly, including any spaces, between the quotes:
sudo chmod 644 /volumes/"TM drive name"/.0011246f8842
Press Return. You'll get some warnings and a request for your Administrator's password. Type it in (it won't be displayed) and press Return again.
Then try a +Back Up Now.+

I started a DB from the Issues web DB template. Everything worked fine when I shutdown last night, but this morning I started receiving the following error when selecting the Report Center tab.
You must specify an object for the BrowseTo to open. I have noticed that the ReportCenterDefault form no longer displays. How do I correct this?

MFG_LOOKUPS 은 view로 fnd_lookup_values의 lookup_code값을 가지고 오는

NOTE: i copied chart of dep form USA and names as 999 and my company code is 1234

Diagnosis
You tried to assign chart of depreciation 999 to company code 1234. According to its Customizing definition, this company code manages parallel currencies.
The chart of depreciation does not contain a corresponding depreciation area for each of the currency types that are defined in the company code.
System Response
This assignment is not possible.
Procedure
1. Check the currency types of the company code.
2. Specify a corresponding depreciation area for each currency type.

Error when selecting values in column prompt

I have one report in OBIEE with large filter on it, it was giving error initially, but i modified filter, i'm getting results in results tab now, but when i'm selecting values in coloumn prompt, i'm getting error.
Error:
State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 43113] Message returned from OBIS. [nQSError: 43119] Query Failed: [nQSError: 14023] None of the fact sources for Business Unit.BU Business Unit Code are compatible with the detail filter.
Query is going through three dimension tables and one fact table. But in BMM layer, each dimension table is joined to 4 fact tables.
I'm not able to resolve this error.
Please give me any suggestions to solve this error.

Error when selecting batch during prod order creation

When selecting batch for production orders components, an error prompted 'Invalid batch, does not match the selection criteria in batch determinat.'
After checking, it is because the classification is not maintained. So I need to re-create in MSC2N.
The question is, how/where should I change back the configurations on checking the batch classification during prod ord?

Please let me know how many Component items are there in the BOM? Out of which how many are Phantom assembly?
It looks like when the BOM is copied to the order it is crossing 9999 items.
I would suggest you to use an intermediate order/material to reduce this number.
I think there was an OSS notes for this to extend the number of character length for BOM items numbering (POSNR).

List Views displaying error - when using Lookup column for filtering ( which are indexed )

I'm trying to filter a large list that has more items than the list view threshold. The list has a lookup column that is indexed. If I try to filter by other columns, the view works fine as long as it returns fewer than 5,000 items. However, if
I try to filter by the lookup column, I get the error about not being able to display the items because the list is too large.
The views are returning items which are less than threshold value , but still I am seeing the same issue.I Created some pages and added this filtered views to the pages it is showing below error
This view cannot be displayed because it exceeds the list view threshold ....
IF I navigate the view in the list it's returning zero records with out any error page . But no records.
Is there a known issue with filtering large lists by lookup column? Any other troubleshooting suggestions? Everything I'm doing here is through the web interface.

Thank you for your reply. Yeah it’s default limit. But when I created view based on some filter condition on lookup column it’s not working.
For example:
Created a View based on Lookup column DEPT using filter condition Dept = HR , returned 1400 items
Created another View based on Lookup column DEPT using filter condition Dept=Admin , returned 3600 items
Adding this list view webparts to the page also working fine , displaying the results .
After adding one item to this list , both the views are not displaying any results. Now the count is 5001.(it exceeded the list view threshold)
The page where the list view web parts are added throwing the below error.
This view cannot be displayed because it exceeds the list view threshold (5000 items) enforced by the administrator.
To view items, try selecting another view or creating a new view. If you do not have sufficient permissions to create views for this list, ask your administrator to modify
the view so that it conforms to the list view threshold.

I am experiencing this problem only with lookup columns, Choice and site columns are working fine in this same situation .

I should point out why this is a problem for me. The config.xml of the
domain I'm tring to make a template for puts relative pathnames for the
location of some of the components. For example, JMS Event Generators
are put in the config.xml with a path of "."
If I run the Config Template Builder from the only directory from which
it works (the directory with the config.jar file, which is common/lib),
then these relative paths will not work. I get the error shown below
when trying to create the template jar:

Error when selecting system during scheduling of background job in RAR

Hi,
I am getting an error when I attempt to schedule a background in RAR. It happens when I go to the multiple system selection option. I select a system and click copy. An error example below appears in the logs even when I dont go ahead and schedule the job. The job still runs and returns results when scheduled. However these errors in the logs concern me. Anybody else experience this?

Hi
Did you check the connector whether the background system is connecting or not.
Goto RAR-Configuration>connectors> select the connector of the background system and then press on test connection.
