Error when setting UDF's visible in XL reporter

Hi everyone,
Good day! I have a problem in making one several UDF's visible in XL reporter.
I'm using SAP B1 2007A PL42. I have UDF's added in the marketing documents in
the title. The code is U_RM and before this certain UDF was okay. In fact we
were able to create a repor. However, yesterday, our report will not run because
the UDF is no longer available. But if you're going to check it's setup, the box
is checked so it should be visible in XL reporter. We tried checking and
unchecking but we get this error msg, "An error occurred while trying to write
to the database. Original error-message was: Column names in each view or
function must be uniqu. Column name U_RIS in view or function "ixvfact" is
specified more than once.
U_RIS is another UDF we added in the title of the marketing documents.

I got this error when setting up a new iMac. I now beleive the reason was that I had already restored accounts and files from a Time Machine backup, and it then connected me to the Apple ID during the login. It is a flaw in the setup process that it didn't check for that and skip the Apple ID step.

Error when I try to run a Journal report, Works fine in previous month

Hi,
I am getting an error when I try to run a Journal report in HFM. The report runs fine for October Month but fials in November. does anyone have any ideas what it could be. The error message details are per below

Hi All,
I narrowed it down by running a report excluding working journals and that worked fine.
This was being caused by an invalid working Journal. I exported all journals from Prod, and tried loading them to test. One of the errors was
"Line: 7736, Error: Invalid parent.child entity dimension specified"
Looking at the row the journal did not have an entity specified for one of the lines.
When a valid entity was specified the journal report then starts working.
Lesson. Check all journals are valid. To find error, load journals export in a different environment.

Error when generating the selection screen '0005'of report 'XYZ'

We copied std SAP pgm and were trying to rename the one of the screen but couldnt. When I tried to transport it to test system it went in to dump giving the error Error when generating the selection screen '0005'of report 'XYZ' .
Please advise me on how to remove this dump.

If you look at the selection screen, you'll probably find that there are overlapping elements (text elements over select-options) or something like that.

Think I'm getting closer (Lol). I did as you suggested and changed the web url to http://localhost:8888/Documents/projects/whoknew/. As you suggested I moved the local site to the Documents folder under the sub-folder projects. It is connecting to the server, but now I am getting the requested url cannot be found on the server. Run time error when set filter on the request id in the output query.

I am getting a run time error when I select the request id and set filter on that and when i am selecting all the request id it contains around 2lacs values in that If i cliked ok on that .
It popped up a msg like this
" Run time error 61706
Insufficient memory to perform operation "

User was educated not to select the entire data in the filter

I have set these up in previous versions of Illustrator. CS and illustrator 10 worked just fine with Variables. Now I can't seem to switch between data sets. I just keep getting this error when I try to switch from one data set to another.

I'll start with the permissions and see if it changes the behavior.

Error when setting personal categories.

Dear all,
we are having a problem when a user needs to set a personal category to a report. Everything works well if the user has access to all the categories the report belong to. But if the report belong to a category the user has no access to, he is not able to set the personal category.
Just for example: the user may see reports in "SALES" category, has no access to "MARKETING" category and has full access to personal category folder.
"report 1" belongs to "SALES" and "MARKETING" categories.
"report 2" belongs to "SALES" only category.
User is able to set personal categories for "report 2", but the system hangs when trying to set personal categories for "report 1".
We are running on BO XI 3.1 FP 3.4 on Windows 2008 R and Oracle 10g.

The error indicates that you must be using class C ip with 255.255.254.0 mask.

Error when exporting to other format from crystal report

Hi,
I have been facing an error "Method 'IRCREditableRTFExportFormatOptions_reserved5' on type 'CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel.EditableRTFExportFormatOptionsClass' from assembly 'CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.ReportDefModel, Version = 11.0.3300.0, Culture-neutral, PublicKeyToken=692fbea5521e1304' is overriding a method that has been overriden." while trying to export the crystal report to another format (e.g. pdf and excel) from an application from a software vendor.
For your information, the machine OS that is running the application is Window 7. Before I did the installation of the application, it already has Visual Studio 2005 and Crystal Report XI Release 1 installed in the Window 7 system. After I had the above error, I went to search more information on the website and found out that I need to upgrade to Crystal Report XI Release 2 from the search results. However, after I upgraded from Crystal Report XI Release 1 to Crystal Report XI Release 2 and apply service pack 6, I still faced the same error when I tried to export. I even tried to uninstall Visual Studio 2005 and Crystal Report XI Release 2 but I'm still facing the same above error while exporting. I also tried to reinstall the application from software vendor but the same error come out.

I wonder if the app you are trying to install is from a 3rd party vendor / developer? If it is, installing CR XI r2 (11.5) will not resolve the issue for you. From the error, the app was compiled with CR XI R1 (11.0) and the only way to get that app to use CR XI r2 will be to recompile it with CR XI r2 assemblies. E.g.; you will have to have access to the source code and then recompile the app, ensuring that you are referencing CR XI r2 assemblies. Or am I missing something here?

Error when opening a BW query with Crystal Reports

Hi all,
I am having problems when opening a BW query with Crystal Reports, the strange thing is that it only happens with
the bo user I have created. If I use a user that already exists and that has SAP_ALL authorization it works.
I don't know if this could be an authorizations issue, but I have created a role with all the authorizations stated in the manual.
The error I am getting is the following:
"An error occurred while generating a new report template. Error in UNKNOWN.RPT file"
Does anyone know what this could be?

you provide a lot of information, none however on the real problem area, which is
#{pageFlowScope.Category.catType eq 'MC'}
The error message basically tells you that it cannot access "catType" as a property. So did you verify catType base a setCattype and getCatType method in the referenced managed bean and that the managed bean is defined in the task flow configuration file it is used in ?

Error when setting up cluster in weblogic 10.3.6

We are trying to set up a cluster with 2 managed servers in WLS 10.3.6. The issue is that we do not manage to deploy our application on the managed server as when we start the managed servesr we have the following error message :

Error when setting up cloud appliance "BW 7.4 MaxDB Trial"

I am currently trying to set up the cloud appliance "SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse 7.4 incl. usage type BI Java on SAP MaxDB – Trial Edition" on AWS but always run into the same error.
According the the Cloud Appliance Library monitor, the instance activates correctly. However, when I log into the NetWeaver machine via SSH I get the following message:
The Appliance Agent detected an error and terminated.
When asked, please provide the file /tmp/applianceagent_20140903-213757.tar.bz2.
Note that a restrictive iptables based firewall is still active.
In the log file /var/log/applianceagent.log I found the following:

I tried this several times (always terminating the instance and creating a new one), but always run into the same problems. I also tried using different virtual machine sizes (larger than the recommended ones) but did not have any success with this either.
Unfortunately, I cannot attach the file /tmp/applianceagent_20140903-213757.tar.bz2 mentioned in the error message (due to size limit of 1 MB for attachments). But I attached some of the log files.
How can I resolve this issue?

thanks for clarifying.
This solution does not support Elastic IP assignments.
Since the network settings are read during the creation process, it should be fine to assign an Elastic IP when the solution instance is up and running. Note that during a reboot the Elastic IP must be de-allocated as well. This is because the network setting are reinitialized during the boot process. I hope this works and serves your needs.
I suggest to start a new instance.
