Hi
I have recieved the following error "error when specifying currency" when I run the payroll for a specific employee, can you tell me what the possible reason could be for such an error message.

First check out whether u have specified the currency in table v_t510f_b and also v_t510. Also check out whether the groupings are same in both the tables. You may have specified some grouping in these tables & u may be hiring the person belong to other grouping.

Error when creating interval for number range object

Hi,
I am trying to transport my BW stuff from QA to Production and I am getting the following error in the transport logs. The info objects are inactive in RSA1.
Start of the after-import method RS_IOBJ_AFTER_IMPORT for object type(s) IOBJ (Activation Mode)
Characteristic YRESD: Error when creating interval for number range object BIM0000396
Can some body advise me what's wrong? Is something need to be maintained in number ranges?
Also when I am checking the objects in RSA1, I am getting a message saying "source system WD110 does not exist", WD110 is our dev system. How can I change the source system after transport?

Error message - Specify either address number or address handle

Hi all,
When I tried to display an outbound delivery, there is a status message which says 'Specify either address number or address handle'.
Please let me know the reason for the above.

Today I have received the same error message while processing an inbound ORDERS IDoc. The error is due to the partner segments E1EDKA1 which contained:
PARVW     AG
ILNNR     SHOPS02020001
PARVW     WE
ILNNR     SHOPS02020001
When I changed the data in this segments as shown below it works:
PARVW     AG
LIFNR     SHOPS02020001
PARVW     WE
LIFNR     SHOPS02020001

Error when assigning the personnel no to work center

Hi,
I have uploaded the HR mini master.Now when I am trying to assign the personnel no to work center it gives me an error as to no objects found. Although I am able to see the list in F4.Checked the validity of both the masters (HR and WC).

Have you tried to assign personnel number one by one ?
You said you checked the validity for both WC and HR.Did you mean you checked the validity of personnel number you tried to assign ? Also check the relationship period in the pop up screen before F4.

Workflow goes in error when the shopping cart is rejected

Hi All,
We have implemented n step approval workflow.
The issue is when the shopping cart gets rejected, the workflow WS14900032 gets called which sends the mail to approver/initiator/reviewer.
The catch here is this workflow is going in error only in case of approvers and that too sometimes.
Can anybody tell me what might be the issue with this. I have already compared the correct and errored workflow data but do not find anything specific.

ORA-01722: invalid number error when comparing varchar and number

We are upgrading our databases to 10g and have issue with the below query
SELECT VALUE FROM table1 WHERE SUBSTR (VALUE, 10) = 1.
In table1, VALUE is the column name and it will have data ending with number. ex: SIGNATURE1, SIGNATURE2, SIGNATURE3, SIGNATURE4....SIGNATURE9.
As output of substr is varchar, Is comparing it with number throwing the error?
If so, the same query is working perfect in another 10g database which we migrated into.
Please help.

I think its data issue. may be some data is defected where string after 10th place contains non numeric character and you are trying to compare it with 1.
My test
Case 1
Below code works fine, since all 10th place characters are digits, so can be compared with 1
with c as

I solved the problem. The invoked method was not part of the VO, but was part of the AM.

Error when using comma in number range

when i use the comma character in a table, in use with some formulas i am getting an error.
pages thinks that the comma character is a string.
here in the netherlands we use the comma, as a seperation character for our numbering. (like this 7,80)
does anyone have any idea, how i can fix this?

the problem is well known by many Pages users of Europe and was discussed in some threads here. Some feedbacks were sent to the developers already (it can help if you will send one as well) and hopefully this will be solved with the next release. Until than you should work with other math functions like divide and multiply.
I, for example, use Pages for offers and invoices, so I have to use the "1,16" MwSt. of Germany. For this I calculate: MwSt. = value/116*16
Have a look, if this helps you to avoid commas.

Error when entering serial number to redeem digital copy.

I recieved an error when entering the serial number for my digital copy of Juno and have been unable to download the digital copy into itunes.
However I have since recieved a reciept from apple for the "purchase". Can the serial number be "unclaimed" so I can reenter and redownload the the file. Or will "check for purchases" simply restart the download if I have the Juno disk in the drive.

The error was "Unable to connect to iTunes Music store .....". Which was not the case since I could quite happily move round the rest of the store.
I haven't attempted "checking for purchases", since I just thought of it whilst writing the original post, and I am not at my home PC.
But thanks for the sarcastic response anyway . I was hoping someone who had had a similar problem to me would be able to say. "Yep check for purchase will restart download process" or otherwise say nope , you've got to call apple. Hence the original question.

F.61 error "Specify either address number or address handle"

Hi,
I'm trying to trigger A/R correspondence with F.61 and am getting the error "_Specify either address number or address handle_" on some of our customers. Some work, some don't - and I can't see what the difference is. I'll get the error on an existing line item, but can create a new test document, and the correspondence is triggered with no problems.
Can someone explain this error message?

Please check the customer master record.In Customer master record,make sure that you have maintained proper address. Check in VBPA-ADRNR wheather the data is correct or different for bill to party

Personnel number invalid on posting date

Hi All,
While doing posting run system is giving an error "The personnel number 0013xxxx entered is not valid at posting date 25.10.2010.
We have newly hired(On date 01.09.2010) this emp and first time we ran his payroll from Sept 2010 till Oct 2010 and doing payroll posting in month of Oct 2010. That means system has done retro from sept 2010.
Can anybody put some light on this error ? as why this error is occuring...Do we need to check any config or table entries ?

I am facing the same issue.... Any help would be appreciated. I have already check IT0001 and IT0027 and there is no vendor payments....
IT0001 has an invalid cost center but that is true for an other guy as well but he is not showing this warning message. My issue details are
I am getting a warning message that says Personeel Numner 10023XXXX invvalid when we do the payroll posting. Details of the error as per SAP message are personnel number 10023XXX is not valid at posting date 07/03/2011.
When checking the personnel number the system found that employee 10023XXXX is not active on 07/03/2011. procedure is to wither enter a valid personnel number or if you do not want the system check the personnel number in CO then you can switch off this message in customizing under controlling section.
When i go into controlling message # that is SAp gives is not there. This employee is recently been made inactive in the past and it had retroed back to last few periods.... All the other ianctive people are fine and there payroll as well as posting is fine. I dont understand why this warning message is coming. I have checked other employees with the same cost centre and company code and they are fine. Not sure why only this employee .....
Any suggestions...
