Error when starting Lync 2013 meeting with Office 32 bit windows 8.1 64 bit.
Hi,
have Office pro 2013 32 bit and lync 2013 32bit on win 8.1 64 bit. And I can't start lync meeting's. Lync are working. When i start lync detting error " that lync have trouble and that the program has to be restarted." the choise
is to repare or Close. eighter helps. Any one has any suggestions what to do.
Its reasonably uncommon for the client to just crash as far as I have seen. As Desmond has mentioned I would try the latest updates (ensuring that you also have the latest supporting updates for Office). If this doesnt help you may need to look deeper in
the OS.
Hope it helps!

Error when enabling the connection group with office 2013 and a plugIn
Hi,
I've created the office 2013 proplusVolume with ODT, published it globaly, Sequenced the plugin, with only the office 2013 as a published app-v package on the system, made the connection group with correct xml, but when I enable the connection group, I got
the error:
The connection group {xxx} version {xxx} could not be published because the
virtual COM settings of the individual packages conflict.
Verify that the virtual COM settings are the same for all member packages and try again.
The COM settings are made the same as the office package on the plugin package, but I still have the same error.
The Deployment-, and user-XML have this values (as it was for the office originally):
<COM Mode=”Integrated”>
<IntegratedCOMAttributes
OutOfProcessEnabled=”true” InProcessEnabled=”true” />
<Objects Enabled=”false” />
Why do I get this error?
Why is it merly impossible to track down the realy error?
What can i do to make this connection group work?Right now the catalog is pulling from the AppXManifests inside the AppV Packages. You can see these settings by renaming the AppV file to .ZIP and browsing those files (READ ONLY) to see the default COM settings. Simply changing the Deployment Config files
is not enough. You will need to make sure the information is dynamically applied at publishing by specifying the -DynamicDeploymentConfiguration option when adding the package using the Add-AppvClientPackage cmdlet. You do not need to worry about the UserConfig
file.
If you are doing this in band with the management system, you would import this configuration in under Advanced Configuration for the package.

Oracle Error when starting the WLI server (samples domain) on Windows XP
I've installed WLI (SP2) on Windows XP and after Starting the Server (from the
"Start Server and Launch Examples" commands on the start menu) I get the following
Oracle error in the console:
I'm using WLI 7.0 with SP2 and Oracle 9i on Windows XP Home.
ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name
Any ideas?Hi Peter,
Based on the error messages it looks like this might be a Windows 7 security issue, which would be why it doesn't occur on XP since security is handled differently in that OS. Have you gone into dcomcnfg.exe and checked the DCOM permissions as described in the error message? -

I have the whole application up and running fine on a WIN2000 platform with its own
database on the local machine. Also I can point my WIN2000 application to use the
database on the HPUX11 machine no problem.
This leads me to think this is a TNS related problem as I cant think of anything
else !.
Any help greatly appreciated...!
MartinHi Martin,
Using oracles Advanced Security Options can cause this, comment security
related lines out of your "sqlnet.ora" they generally have the words,
ENCRYPTION or CRYPTO in them.
Also try to set ORACLE_SID environment variable, like in the server startup
script.
ORACLE_SID=<SID_NAME>
export ORACLE_SID
Try it and see if it works. This is purely an Oracle issue not WebLogic
related. Try to contact Oracle support if you cannot resolve the issue with
above steps. You may have to reinstall the Client.

"The operation could not be completed" error when starting VS 2013 (premium)
It was running fine and then msbuild wouldn't stop so I had to kill VS. After that I get the above error every time I try to start VS.
Same result with the various console invocation devenv options (/safemode, /resetuser, ...)
My path is < 2048 chars. I've also re-registered actxprxy.dll and oleaut32.dll to no avail.
I've run the VS2013 repair a couple times, no errors reported but I still get the error.

</entry>Hello Charlie,
Based on the error info, 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.ErrorHandler' is used as "Provides methods for dealing with common COM error codes". Some components send this error out but I seems cannot find the info about the specific component. Do you have
any more error info in your ActivityLog.xml log?
If you do not have any info, we may need to use process monitor tool:
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx
Please open this tool and then open Visual Studio to reproduce the error.
After that, please filter the Visual Studio related process and upload the log to OneDrive and share the file to here.
I think it will contains some info about the specific corrupt dll or any com components. Then we can try register it again.
By the way, may I ask why you register actxprxy.dll and oleaut32.dll here? Do you have any error info about them?
Best regards,
Barry

PLEASE Help!!!
BernieThis can happen if you have the default-ear that JRun creates
and you install the /samples files for Flex Data Services installed
together.
The problem is with the commons-logging.jar. If you copy the
commons-logging.properties file from the
samples\WEB-INF\flex\jars\commons-logging.properties directory to
the samples\WEB-INF\classes\commons-logging.properties directory,
it will resolve the problem.

Lync 2013 meeting invitation customizations not working for some users
Hello Microsoft TechNet Forms,
I have a strange problem that I am totally stumped on. I made some modifications to the Lync 2013 meeting configuration to add in my company's logo, a footer and set a custom help Lync URL. Now everything seemed to work expect for myself and
one other person I tested with. If I try creating a new Lync 2013 meeting via my Outlook 2013 the normal stock Lync meeting invite appears. Yet testing with any other user everything I have changed appears as expected and I am at a total loss to why.
I have so far from troubleshooting determined it must be something with my account that is causing it but I have just not been able to determine what. As signing into a different machine yields the same result yet testing with another account that is
known to work on the exact same machine works correctly with the different account. I have tired deleting and re-crating my Lync account just in case that had something to do with it but that didn't fix the problem. I have tired repairing Office 2013 to
running windows update on Office 2013 which didn't help.
The changes I made to the meeting configuration are global scoped. I have so far not found anything online from anyone ever reporting a similar issue to this. At this point I am stuck on what I should be looking for with regards to what is stopping
the meeting invite updating for myself and the other person. Given I don't know what mechanism is involved with updating the Lync meeting invite on Outlook 2013 I am stumped. I am open to any suggestions someone might have as to what to do next or what might
be the cause of this problem.
Nicholas,Hi Nicholas,
Can you compare your account with other’s and check if your account is applied any special policy in Lync Control Panel ?
Best regards,
Eric -
Does Visio 2013 work with Office 2010?
Does Visio 2013 work with Office 2010?
Tuesday 01/06/2015
Take a look at this Microsoft KB
KB2784668
It has one reference to Visio and the support / install order of Office.
Now with that said, regardless of 2010 vs. 2013, you can NOT mix 32-bit or 64-bit versions of Office.
For example, lets say I installed Office 2010 SP2 64-bit
(FYI... How to determine Office 2010 SP file version
KB2121559)
I then want to install Visio 2013 32-bit, the install will not work.
You cant mix 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Office Products.
TechNet article explains more...TechNet
(FYI...A few more people are asking the same question...)
Forum 1
Forum 2
(How to determine which version 32-bit or 64-bit version of Office is installed
Stackoverflow.com)
Above article is dependent on Full Office being installed... You can also query the DisplayName REG_SZ key as well, it will report back the Office version.
Registry Location:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall
Look for the Office GUID in my example for 2010 64-bit SP2....
Now with the above said, below are notes from one of our desktop support techs in regards to issues we have seen internally running Office 2010 32-bit SP1 and SP2 on Win 7 x64 Enterprise with Visio 2013.....
Office interops. The ability for office and other applications to communicate with other office apps.
The first instance today: User sends corporate communications from word using the send to mail recipient feature. After visio 2013 installed, he received a message stating that word could not communicate with outlook, to either repair office or check the
server. Office was repaired, new outlook profile created. After research, discovered the office is sensitive to various versions in regards to interops. Discovered that Visio 2013 was installed around the time user experienced issues. After uninstalling visio,
when launching word it began to configure (like for a first time install), the send mail to recipient feature began working. This probably will affect anyone with visio 2013. Visio 2010 was not reinstalled afterwards, as user barely uses it and was hesitant.
Installation files are still on his machine in the event that he does need it reinstalled. Office version is 14.0.7109.5000 User is on Office 2010 SP2
The second instance today: Teammate stopped working 3 weeks ago according to user. After working through several support groups here and working with the vendor support, the vendor noted that some dll’s from the application were not registered. If that didn’t
fix it they suggested a reimage. After registering the dll’s, issue persisted. After further troubleshooting, determine that the feature that did not work for user consisted of teammate downloading information from a system, parsing it, then outputting it
to a word document. The application provided no error of any sort, it just would never get to the word document portion. Discovered that Visio 2013 was installed around the time that the issue occurred, and that the issue appeared to be related to office interops.
I uninstalled Visio 2013 and it began working as designed. In both cases Visio 2013 had been installed on 11/25/2014 (I didn’t see any corporate communication about an upgrade, but maybe one took place?). Office version is 14.0.7109.5000 User is on Office
2010 SP2
I’m not sure if you have much experience with interops, but pretty much anytime you want to communicate with a different office application, that is how it is done. Per my reading through various Microsoft KB’s and support forums, different version interops
do not play well together always. It appears that these applications are trying to communicate to office 2010 (v 14) using 2013 (v15) interops, only after installing visio 2013 professional. Users were both Windows 7 x64. We also had a group of several users
who also ran into issues with sharepoint not working in any browser, turned out the problem was Visio 2013 was well....
Feel free to research more, but my own research comes down with having both 2010 and 2013 interops on the machine. To simplify it, the applications and office apps are being told to communicate using office 2013, and but only listen in 2010, causing problems.
Its not causing problems with every simple interop, or we would see it far more widespread, but we are going to continue to see the “ghost” issues where Visio 2013 is the root cause, but nothing is really going to scream it. -
Hi
We are having SRM5.0.
Trying to create Contract. Workflow Without approval of contract(WS1400086)is activated and start conditions also no workflow activated.
Contract is created and getting message Contract created.
But when tried to release the contract it shows "Awaiting approval".
In Workflow log (SWI1)it shows error."Error when starting work item xxxx".
What could be the reason. Please let me know the solution if anyone of you come across such error.
Thanks in advance
JagadishMasa
It is maintained as General task already.
It seems the workflow task WS14000085 does not have definition.
When checked in SWDD for the above teask there are no steps defined for that workflow.
SAP says that we need to define and action for workflow WS14000085.
But what is the procedure to define the workflow.
I presume this is the standard workflow and it should be defined by default when it comes along with the SRM package.
Anyone of you know how to define the workflow and activate the same?
Regards

Error when starting parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL:'TfSAPCMRC'
Hello experts.
When I try to preview or refresh a Crystal Report document built on a BEx query I get the following error msg:
Database connector error: BAPI Error #0. Error when starting parser: timeout during allocate / CPIC-CALL: 'TfSAPCMRCV'.
We have done as suggested in "SAP Note 1032461 - MDX parser does not start", but without success.
This is what we've tried so far:
replaced the file "librfc32.dll" (in C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64) with the new version mentioned in Note 413708.
tested the connection in SM59 - non successful
tested the report query with transaction MDXTEST - non successful
tried to start the mdxparser manually on server - non succesful, error msg: "The application failed to initialise.."
We have the following config:
MS server 2003 SP2 x64 ed.
SAP logon 7.20
MS SQL server 2005
CR 2008
new librfc32.dll version 7200.1.39.6461
Any ideas on what to try next would be highly appreciated!
Cheers, IngAHi Ingo.
We have only one application server.
I registered the new version of the file C:\windows\SysWOW64\librfc32.dll with regsvr32.exe successfully. I've also tried to copy the new file to the same directory as the mdxsvr.exe-file is located, but it made no difference.
Should I remove all other copies of librfc32.dll and only keep the one in folder C:\Windows\SysWOW64, or maybe register them all with regsvr32.exe?

Error when starting a SWITCH branch (8987)
Hi,
I am testing my workflow which starting with a multiple condition (switch). The workflow process is stopped with the error:
Error when starting a SWITCH branch (8987).
The workflow check shows no warnings or errors. What could be the problem?
Thank you in advance.
/ElvezCheck the workflow container (of the started workflow instance) and see if you spot a problem with one of the container objects used in your switch conditions.

You should n^know by now that you have to give at least some basic information.

Error when starting submethod -
Dear Experts,
we are using standard work flow for Appropriation Request(AR) approving.
Approvers are geting mail to SAP inbox.
when double click on inbox->worlflow item for that particular AR, it goest AR display screen & when we click on balk(F3) goes to screen where we can click on "approve" , " Reject" buttons.
now issue is once double click on inbox item gives infor message saying "Error when starting submethod"(Message no. SWF_RUN637) & goes to approval screen directly.
Please help to correct this issue.
Thanks & kind Regards,
SLHi,
The issue might be with the secondary methods of the decision step. Check if any secondary methods are included in the decision step. and make sure when you are using the secondary methods you should ahve the instance of the business object.. in the workflow container so that the methods that you want to execute parallel while or before executing the workitem.
The secondary methods will be listed out under METHODS tab of decision step
Regards
Pavan
