J2EE Database is not available via  test
See logfile JdbcCon.log
Please see the log file.If it says password expired .Please change the password for the schema user of J2ee database.In my case the user is sapdbqx1 and after resetiing the apssword it worked fine.
Also onetime for annother system in XI Landscpe I had same issue.
Solution: The listener file should have both logical hostname as well as physical host name entry.Then its worked.

  • Prevent JNLP from being cached in the Java Web Start cache

    Hi,
    when i launch a JNLP it's always being cached in the Java Web Start cache. Is there a way to prevent it from being cached? Some attribute/property inside it?
    Thanks!

    Set the http headers in the response from the server when the client downloads the jnlp file.
    eg Cache-control no-cache
    Expires (use same date as "date" header)
    Note that over SSL on Internet Explorer 8 this will not work. All other configurations should be ok.

    I would appreciate some help with this. The code works fine in a Windows or Solaris environment but barfs on Apple. Truly annoying....
    Anyone?

    Yes,
    Apologies for not stating that information, Steve. Was a bit naughty of me! I guess the reason I didn't was because I just wanted to hear if anyone else running Oracle on Mac received such errors when executing the Java stored proc demos (specifically, the execution of PointRuntime.jDistance). I have a Facebook photo uploader application that I plan to distribute using Java Web Start. I'm using Java 6u4 on Windows XP SP2 with 2GB of RAM. I have Java 6u3, Java 6u4 and Java 5 u14 installed and I'm sure the one used is Java 6u4.
    I signed my application and make use of all security settings.

I enabled the console and logging but nothing shows up there.That's really a weird problem, I wonder if Java Web Start is a viable deployment option, it does have great capabilities such as autoupdate but still seems to have important bugs.
    Does anyone have any clue about what is going on.
    The problem doesn't occur on Ubuntu 7.10.
    Thanks,

    You were right my XML file was not correct. I still couldn't find a valid JNLP validator. Sun has to provide that.>No they don't (have to supply a validator for their own document type, though it makes sense to do so), but yes they do (provide a tool that validates XML against schemas). Java can validate XML against a DTD or XSD.
    Check these two threads (and chase the links) for more details.
    JNLP xsd schema

    Validate XML against DTD? XSD OK. SSCCE.
    <http://groups.google.com.au/group/comp.lang.java.programmer/browse_thread/thread/5b997a1edb765b11/e831f3066eb4aa38>
    Look especially for the posts by Piotr Kobzda.
    I had a tool on my site based largely on Piotr's codes, that linked to a valid JNLP DTD and XSD, but unfortunately my site is offline at the moment. Andy assures me that the JNLP 6.0 DTD has been corrected for the developer ..download tutorials of web start, though the online (web site) version may still be invalid.

  • Where is the java web start

    I was using jdk 1.5 which includes web start. Then I tried to install jwsdp 1.4 but failed. So I uninstalled jdk 1.5 and installed j2ee PE 8 which includes jdk 1.4.2.
    Does jdk 1.4.2 inside j2ee have web start included, if not, where can I download one. Thanks.

    It does, you should be able to find it in JAVA_HOME/jre/javaws

  • UDESEncrypt Errors when using the JAVA engine (NW IDM 7.0)

    Folks,
    I'm seeing an error when I use the uDESEncrypt function with the Java Engine in NW IDM SP2 Patch 3.
    The error I am getting is:
    runFunctionsInString($FUNCTION.encrPWD()$$) got exception
    org.mozilla.javascript.EvaluatorException: uDESEncrypt: Key should be exactly 24 bytes long.
    The code calling it is:
    // Main function: encrPWD
    function encrPWD(Par){
         //Example calling DSE internal function
         //UserFunc.uStop("Terminated by user");
         key = "C:\Program Files\SAP\IdM\Workflow\configs\KEY\keys.ini";
         OutString = UserFunc.uDESEncrypt(key, Par);
         return OutString;
    I have also seen this error when using Patch 4.
    Interestingly enough, the error does not occur when using the Windows Engine.  Anyone else seeing this?
    Thanks,
    Matt

    Hi Matthew,
    Try to replace the '\' with '
    key = "C:
    Program Files
    SAP
    IdM
    Workflow
    configs
    KEY
    keys.ini";
    Alternative approaches,
    1) setting key empty and it will look into %DSE_HOME%\KEY\key.ini
      which should be C:\Program Files\SAP\IdM\Identity Center\Key\key.ini on default installation path.
    2) or setting the key to something like = 6D5A2AF59B1CDD7F9592484F178331C891537A3F9B91D362
       a 24 byte key...
    Also when using DES you should ensure that in Identity Center underneath Options/General
    you have encryption algorithm set to 3DES.
    Normally if you intend to use this for password provisioning in IC you would also
    on the identity store (for instance 'Enterprise people') underneath 'password policy' check
    of for 'enable password provisioning.'
    By doing so the MX_ENCRYPTED_PASSWORD with be set when operating through
    workflow (3DES encryption version of the MX_PASSWORD) which allows you to obtain password
    when provisioning to other target systems...

  • Getting the Error when creating the WSD(Web Service Defination)

    Hello,
    When I tried to create the WSD(Web Service Defination) through the Wizard or function module I am getting the error "Error during activation" and again it is giving the error "internal error ACTIVATE in WEBSERVICE Wizard;".
    What will be the probable cause of this error.
    Is I have to change some configuration
    Please Suggest.
    Thanks
    Vineet

    I have the same problem - error returned is
    Error during activation
    Message no. WS_TOOL085
    but no further information is provided
    But the Virtual Interface in the package does activate with no problem - so this is WSD specific!
    Some help would be appreciated...

  • Error when building the Java pricing userexit manual code

    I went throught the manual for the pricing userexit manual... it tells you to ignore the errors when you do an ant build but I want to remove all the errors since they dont let the rest the code compile.... where are the jars for these errors:
    [javadoc] C:\DEV\PRC_UE_CUSTOMER\lib_src\src\com\sap\spc\document\DocumentConstants.java:16: package com.sap.vmc.logging does not exist
         [javadoc] import com.sap.vmc.logging.Category;
         [javadoc]                            ^
         [javadoc] C:\DEV\PRC_UE_CUSTOMER\lib_src\src\com\sap\spc\document\DocumentConstants.java:26: cannot resolve symbol
         [javadoc] symbol  : class Category
         [javadoc] location: class com.sap.spc.document.DocumentConstants
         [javadoc]     public static final Category CATEGORY = Category.getCategory(Category.APPLICATIONS, "/AP/SPC/Document");
         [javadoc]                         ^

    See the [SAP note 809820 - Userexit concept for pricing|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/809820]
    Use ZIP file the attached to the above note - PRC_UE_CUSTOMER_V105.zip
    ZIP file contains an Eclipse .project file that has the required build path. If you read the documents carefully, it does refer this project file.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <classpath>
         <classpathentry kind="src" path="src"/>
         <classpathentry sourcepath="lib_src/src" kind="lib" path="lib_api"/>
         <classpathentry kind="lib" path="lib_vmc_api/base_services_stripped_api.jar"/>
         <classpathentry kind="output" path="bin"/>
    </classpath>
    Again read the documents thoroughly. They are neither fictions nor non-fictions, but technical documents written with care. So, we must also read them with care. If we don't follow them, then it is time to engage someone who does. )
    BTW, coming back to the Java basics - One must have a class and source files to debug. You won't get a class file unless it is compiled. The Java file won't compile correctly if it has syntax / reference errors. Unfortunately or fortunately, all these apply to the IPC java userexit development as well.

  • Error when compiling the Java file

    Hi I have created a jsp program that uses the java files. i have jboss installed. when i compile the java file it gives compilation error saying that javax.servlet.jsp.tagext.TagSupport not found.
    Although when i installed the Tomcat seperately i did not get any compilation error. can anyone tell me how to get out of this problem when Tomcat is not installed seperately.
    Thanks,
    Rakesh

    Hi
    I think these errors are due to incorrect classpath settings.While compiling HelloHome ..Helloremote must be in classpath.Also if u have packaged them u must be in the package root during compilation ie if uor remote & home interface is in a package called "ejbserver"
    then while compiling u must be in the folder above ejbserver & compile command is
    javac .\ejbserver\*.java
    If uor home & remote interface is in different folder check wheather u have imported the remote interface inside home interface file.

  • Is there any way to remove the 'Java web start window' message on windows?

    This is unacceptable.
    You can download an application in any language and install it.
    If so many hoops have to be jumped through for security, and it changes the display to boot, this is simply not worth the (2 days!!) of effort is has taken to look into this and get it working right.

    nm, I figured out that a signed app will not have this problem.

  • Who can tell me how I can get the source of draw4 of the "java web start"

    thanks.

    I am looking for this too. Is this code 'taboo' or something? It just seems wierd...not only can you NOT find it, but nobody seems to reply to requests for it.
    Pretty please?

  • Java Web Start doesn't run by clicking on the link, how can I fix it?

    Hello,
    I've been trying to make a Java Web Start application, I finished everything, but when I click on the link which is connected to the jnlp file, it only displays the XML code in the explorer instead of running the program. But if i download the jnlp file and double click it, it starts the Java Web Start. Anyone can tell me how to fix this?
    I thought may be JRE installation, but I tried to click on some sample on the web, it works fine for other Java Web Start application, but not mine.
    Thanks you.
    Kit

    Does your webserver know about JNLP? You need to map the .jnlp extension to "application/x-java-jnlp-file".
    See the Web Server Setup section of http://java.sun.com/developer/technicalArticles/Programming/jnlp/
