Error when startng Oracle9iAS...pls. help!

I have recently installed Oracle9IAS on a WinNT 4.0
SP6 system, but when I "start" the
application server (oc4j.jar) via the command line
(java -jar oc4j.jar), I was prompted by this error:
Error in http-web: Address already in use: JVM_BIND.
What does this error mean? I have verified that
the address of my machine is unique. I am also still
using the default settings on my http-web.xml file.

Windows 2000 is also technically NT 5.0 right? So in your case, upgrading from NT4.0 to NT5.0 solved the problem? Okay, i'll try that as a last alternative, but I'm still hoping that it can be solved by just doing some tinkering on the configuration. Anybody? :)

When you are trying to create PO with other than the company code currency system is looking for the equivalent exchange to the company code currency to the given foreign currency.
Before using any curreny we have to maintain the exchange rates in OB08 with the duration then system will take care of further postings

The Problem is that the variable Leave_Reason is declared as a local variable inside a if block. So the scope of the variable is not visible outside the if block...

I am running on NW04s. Working on WD for ABAP Interactive forms. whenever I open the Adobe editor thru SFP or Se80, the editor opens up and I am able to do my operations. The moement I hit back button/Save or any other action which involves coming out of the adobe editor, it throws me an Fatal error - Error when transforming object data. I find that in most of the threads there are similar issues which are still open. Any Help would be appreciated.
I have installed ADLC 7.1, xACF04s.

Are the html help files installed on the "L:\DATA\..." drive ? and are the help files installed in language "NL" (Dutch) ?
You can control the path where to look for the files in 2 ways (as i remember):
1) by customizing the SAPDOCCD.INI file on your local workstation (if exists). (User specific)
2) by customizing in transaction SR13 within your R/3. (System specific)
But in the SAPDOCCD.LOG file you should be able to see how the location is found, and from where.
Every thing however (including basic trouble shooting) is described in SAP's document "Installing the SAP Library" or something like this....

I don't see the LISTENER = section of your listener.ora file. That's where you tell the listener the host and port to use.
You realize of course, that the listener runs on the server, not the client.
You realize, of course, that tnsnames.ora is a client side file and the listener doesn't care one whit what is in any tnsnames.ora file.

Adobe Bridge CS4 pops error when Update Option from Help is launched

Hi All,
when i m trying to Launch the Update from the help menu of Adobe Bridge it pops-up with a error messge instead of launching update.
The error says
Adobe Bridge
Bridge is not in a position to check for updates.
The cause of the error may lie in the fact that an Internet connection can be established or that you are logged in as a user without administrator privileges.
Ok
Please help what is the probable cause for this.
I have tried disabling the updateoption by
1) Adding the Enterprise DWORD value in registry HKLM\Software\Adobe\Updater
2) Adding the "Update" "Suppress" value in "Application.XML.Override" file while installing the CS4 Suite

Apologies I dont think I had made myself clear.
I am trying to package Adobe Photoshop CS4 which has Adobe Bridge as a component. As per the company standards, I am suppossed to be deploying this package & installing it using silent setup. Since this is a corporate environment, they do not want any auto updates to be enabled, as well as disable all menu items related to updates. Hence I had checked through the Adobe Support Site and followed the instructions provided by using the Adobe Deployment Toolkit and supressed the updates using the tool.
Inspite of following the steps mentioned in the Deployment Kit and the guides associated with it, I was unable to supress the Updates options that reflects under Help Menu for Adobe Bridge CS4. All the other associated programs like photoshop, Extend Scripts etc the updates are disabled. The problem seems to be only with the Adobe Bridge Update.

Only thing worked for me is impdp on network mode using remap schema.

Also my database is 11g so it is not true that this happens on 10g only.
Things tried:
1)I tried with different values on parallel parameter but same error
2)I applied the following:

commit;
The 3rd link was bit better

Unknown Hard Error when reformatting. Please help.

Hi, I was going to reformat my HD but got the following error after I inserted the Recovery CD into my CD Rom.

Hi KadeP,
there is indeed not a solution for that CD-problem, since you are getting it when installing from the CD not after the installation, when there is a problem with that specific file on your harddisk.
So, apart from the checking of the CD for physical problems (dirt, dust, scratches) the only other solution would be the use of another CD and maybe doing a full disc-copy of that CD onto a CD-R or CD-RW and hoping the best.
As for the Vista procedures the hatter described, all these has to be done before even installing Vista and also on a Windows PC.
The outcome of that would be a modified Vista Installation DVD, which seems to be installing even on iMacs not really supported.
Since I don't have Vista I never tried it myself, though.
But the hatter is 'our local Vista/Windows 7 genius'
As for the 'old XP CD' you found:
such behaviour/error is usually a sign that the XP CD is not at Service Pack level 2 (SP2) which is a must for XP CDs.
However, you can use these instructions http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windowsxpsp2slipstream.asp to 'slipstream' yourself a XP SP2 installation CD.
But again, you have to do it on a running Windows PC.

I have the procedure to run petsotre demo as it is given in the Java BluePrints Projects Install Document.
But when I have tried to run the ant setup command it it has given me the following error
