  • Error when purchasing an album: "Network connection reset"

Every time I try to purchase a specific album (Pokémon HeartGold & Pokémon SoulSilver Super Music Collection, to be precise), I get an error claiming "The network connection was reset." Every time this happens, I check my network connection, and it is working perfectly fine. I am able to purchase any other album besides this one. What's going on?

  • Cannot login into network accounts when there is no network connectivity

    Hey guys
quick question here if anyone can help.
What has been done: backuped user's home folder, binded the mac to AD, logged in as the user's AD name, copied everything from the backup into the new user's home folder, users can work flawlessly.
What is wrong is when they leave the office, after a few hours they cannot login anymore to their AD username. Is there something i missed?
The network accounts do not appear in system preferences.
    Thanks

On your client machine login screen, type in ">console" (without quotes) in the username field and hit enter. Try and login with your network account username and password. What error messages do you get in console?

My daughter has just bought me an iPad 2 from Dubai and set it all up for me but unfortunately the iMessage function doesn't seem to work. We keep getting messages, when trying to activate it, that there is a network connection problem - help!

Thank you both for your responses but my daughter was reassured by the salesman in the iStyle store (official Apple store in the UAE) that iMessages would work but conceded that FaceTime wouldn't. My iTunes account is registered in the uk and my daughter's iPhone has iMessages even though she bought it (and uses it) in Dubai. Can anyone else throw any light on this?

Sounds more like you have a problem with your apple id. For starters go to that page click manage my apple id and singn in. If you can't sign in reset password.
    https://appleid.apple.com
if you can sign in there, try to sign in to itunes on your computer.

  • Office jet 6700 printer jam error when there is no printer jam

I get a continuous printer jam error when there is no jam present.  I have tried connecting and reconnecting.  Same error.

    Hi @lbrockhurst
Although you are not experiencing a true paper jam, the solutions presented in the following document might help to resolve the issue; A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays on the HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One and 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Pri...
    As you will see in the document above, paper jam messages are not only a result of physical paper jams;
The following factors can cause paper jams:
Paper loaded incorrectly in the paper tray.
    Damaged or dirty paper rollers.
Torn, wrinkled, or damp paper loaded in the paper tray.
The rear access door or two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) might not be closed or is not locked into place.
Paper was added to a stack already in the tray while the HP product was printing.
The tray contains more than one type of paper.
The paper is jammed inside the HP product where you cannot see it.
An obstruction is blocking the paper path.
Torn pieces of paper from a previous jam are stuck in the product.
    The tray is too full.
If printing on an envelope, the edges of the envelope are bent.
I have also seen communication hiccups cause such error messages. This may sound silly, but if the issue persists, after completing the steps in the document I provided, let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.),  then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection.
    I hope this heps.

  • Error message keeps popping up "Network Connection could not find PPPoe Server"

I am trying to update my wife's iBook, 2,1 for my mom to use.  It is running OS 10.6.8.  Every time I wake up the computer an error message pops up saying "Network Connection could not find a PPPoe Server." It does it periodically when the computer is on.  It will drive my mom nuts and worry her.  Can anyone help me stop this from happening?
    Thanks,
    KC

Help is right here, front and center caibadass. May I ask what's the reason for the mobile number change? Are you logged into My Verizon as the account owner to make such a change? If you can share the details then we can assist. Keep in mind that if the number is changed online then there is not a cost.
    Thank you...

    Not a nice answer!
Posting "Check the 'More like this'" area and not simply providing the answer is a great way to make these groups worthless.
You're ignoring context.  On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers.  The new Apple Support Communities made things worse by introducing certain inefficiencies.  Then came Lion.  The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest.  (2) When applicable, give a brief answer such as the one that you found objectionable.  (3) Give up all the other normal activities of life and spend full time trying to answer questions here.
People who needed help with Lion problems seemed to have trouble discovering existing message threads that described how to solve their problems.  I never posted the suggestion of "Check the 'More like this' area" without verifying that the help that the poster needed could be found there.  Even doing that, what I posted saved me time that I could use to help someone else.
The people helping here are all volunteers.  None of them is being paid for the time they spend here.  They all have a life outside of Apple Support Communities.  It's arrogant of you to demand that people helping here spend more time than they already do.

  • Since upgrade to Mac OS 10.7.2L , recurring error message: "There was a problem connecting to the server "servername". The server may not exist...etc."

Since upgrade to Mac OS 10.7.2 Lion, on MacBookPro, recurring (every minute or so) error message: "There was a problem connecting to the server "servername". The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network conneection, and then try again." (The server specified is no longer connected or used). The error message must be clicked twice to continue to work on the computer. Time Machine is switched off. No external disks are connected. Keychain entries for "servername" have been removed since the problem arose. Is there any way to prevent this error message?

I am having the same problem; have tried deleting some of the plist files as others suggested but to no avail.  Tried turning off time machine - that didn't fix it either.  Very dispappointing.

How do I allow Skype to get past network?

You make no mention of which OS you are using.  The following are Yosemite instructions:
    System Preferences>Security & Privacy>Firewall>Unlock the padlock.
Click on the Firewall Options button.
Click the + (plus) button & do the necessary to add Skyp & to allow incoming connections.  When done, click the OK button & lock the padlock.
Restart your computer.  Report back the results.

  • Why does my phone keep popping up messages "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone" when there is no cable connected?

Why does my phone keep popping up messages "This cable or accessory is not certified and may not work reliably with this iphone" when there is no cable connected? This has been happening since IOS7 was installed and has become worse with 7.1. I have reset the phone several times with no change. The phone charges properly & I have never used anything but an Apple Lightning cable.

I already cleaned the port with compressed air before submitting the problem. I since cleaned it with a toothpick and dug out some more lint. this seems to have just about fixed the problem since I have only had the error pop up 3 times since then and i was getting the error constantly before.

This might just be a typical Mountain Lion network glitch..
Reboot the TC.. that is usually enough to fix it.
Otherwise restart the whole network from off.. Reboot items in correct order.
    Modem.. TC.. computer. 2min gap.
Tell us if that doesn't fix it.
