Error when trying to convert 7.1 build script to 2011 lvproj

I have inherited a LabVIEW 7.1 project that must be upgraded to a more recent version of LabVIEW. I have chose 2011.
I am trying to use the recommended method of "Tools->Convert Build Scrip..." but it is not working. I'm getting a message along the lines of
The build was unsuccessful
Possible reasons
Invoke Node in AB_Convert_Add_Source.vi-
AB_Convert_Build_Script.vi -
BuildMonitor_ImportBuildScript.vi -
BuildMonitor_Global_OnCommand.vi-
BuildMonitor_Global_OnCommand.vi.ProxyCaller-
Any knowledge out there?

Would it be possible for you to post the project here so that I can create a report of this particular error and submit it to R&D's database? If the project is too large/proprietary, I understand, but if we can reproduce this error at NI, then we can work on eliminating this bug from future Labview releases.

I'm getting the following error when trying to convert .xls and .xlsx files to pdf, using the "Create PDF" option:
Error message from the primary converter:
ALC-PDG-010-012-PDFMaker reported an error while printing the document.
Word, Powerpoint and Text files convert without any issues. Also I'm able to opent the excel files and convert them to pdf using the acrobat option in excel.
Livecycle Version: 10.0.2, GM
MS Office Version: 2007

It is always difficult when you need to convert multiple xls files to pdf or multiple sheets to pdf. If you have a single file to convert then the best method would be to copy your data to doc file and then convert it into PDF . If you have multiple files to convert then it is really difficult to convert all the files manually. Then the better method would be to use converter tool to convert excel to pdf . By doing this you can convert many files in just few seconds.

What browser are you using? Try clearing the cache, or using a different browser. N/A
Are you converting from within Reader, or directly via the ExportPDF website. Within Reader.I disabled the OCR and this did not work either. Try converting from within Reader, and disable OCR as detailed in this document: How to disable Optical Character Recognition (OCR) when converting PDF to Word or Excel.
Are you on a networked computer? Make sure that there aren't any firewall/proxy settings that are preventing you from uploading files to the Internet. Not having problems uploading the file--that works fine.
Make sure the file is within the file-size limit of 100 MB. It is <40.
I get the error message, "File failed to be converted using Adobe ExportPDF online."

Error when loading customer's application build script

I'm updating a program for a customer to include a module that we have developed. We're required to use an application builder script because of the way the VIs work.
Anyways, when I attempt to load the build script for the LabView 6.1 application, eventually an error box comes up with the following message:
Error 1 occured at Program Files:\National Instruments\LabVIEW 6.1\vi.lib\addons\_office\_wordsub.llb\_Word Dynamic VIs.vi - invalid path.
Possible Reasons:
LabVIEW: An input parameter is invalid.
or
NI-488: Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge.
I'm confused about the Program Files:\ syntax. Is this a valid reference? I can only assume so, as I believe they used this build script in the past. I'm currently working on Win2k, and I do not know what the customer's machine is running.
Is there a particular Windows or LabView setting that would let this build script work? If not, is there an application build script editor that I can use to change the file reference?

Yes it's a valid path, see attached screen cap of the exact path on my computer (except version 8.2).
It looks like the target computer is just missing the MS Office toolkit, or the installation was not Typical. Tell the user to install the toolkit in the proper directory and it should compile.

FCP ERROR when trying to convert variable frame rate Panasonic P2

Ok, yesterday I was able to convert variable frame rate footage so it rendered out nice slo mo's via DVCPRO HD Frame rate converter in FCP 6.0.4, it worked perfect. I tried it multiple times - So I know it can be done... Today however I created the same "easy setup" in FCP I used yesterday, and it wont work?
it comes up with the error:
"An error occurred during processing, unable to conform source media FCP" is there some setting that by default switches"
has anyone heard of this happening? it seems like a program error... but I could be wrong... I haven't been able to figure it out on my own.
does anyone have any suggestions?

While trying to convert planned order to production order we are getting error CO684,( you cannot make an assignment to make to order stock---create an order with respect to sale order where account assignment to sales order or project is not allowed in settlement profile to chosen order type.
What is to be done to correct it.

Check which settlement profile maintained in your order type using OPJH.
Then go to the t.code OKO7 and select the same settlement profile which is there in your order type.
In receivers
Change the sales orders settings to
Sales orders 1 Settlement Optional
If in your scenrio not using sales order the change to Settlement not allowed

Getting a 9041 error when trying to convert to AAC

I'm trying to convert some Apple Lossless songs to AAC and every time I try (different songs) I get "Unknown error occurred (9041).
I was able to drag the song to the desktop, open it in QuickTime and export it as an AAC so the files aren't corrupted.
I'm running Lion and the latest version of iTunes

My executable compiled with Real Time Engine 5.1.1 in App Builder gives error when trying to run in App Builder with RTE 6.1

Hello. I built an executable using App Builder in LV 5.1.1 and now, years later, I am trying to run it in LV 6.1 but I get an error stating a requirement for Run Time Engine version 5.1.1. To be able to run this, must I install the older version of Run Time Engine? If so, where can I find the older version? Do I have to install the older version of LabVIEW to get the RTE? Will having both versions on my pc be a problem?
I assume that once I am able to run the exe, that I will be able to recompile with the newer version of the RTE using App Builder. Is this correct?
I have been away from LabVIEW for several years and am a bit rusty on these details that I once knew. Any help is appreciated.

The version of the run-time engine must match the version of LabVIEW that was used to create the executable. You can get any version of the run-time engine you want here. The only way to create a version 6.1 exe is to re-build it from the source code with diagrams. An exe has no block diagram so it cannot be converted to a newer version.

Automator error when trying to convert images

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to create a workflow to convert images from .psd to .jpeg and for some reason when I run the workflow I get an error on the convert images option. All it says is action failed. Anyone have any advice? This is my first time using automator and I successfully set up a workflow to resize images, so I think I get the gist.

Are you using a photoshop-specific action, or the built-in "Convert to JPEG" action? It's entirely possible that the built-in action might not consider a photoshop file a graphics file. Your choices then are to see if adobe has put out some specialized actions for dealing with psd files, or to switch to applescript and script photoshop directly.

-54 error when trying to convert to ipod/iphone

I moved all my itunes content off the startup drive on my mac, then changed the location in the advanced menu, etc. My movies are encoded to play on an appletv. When I try to convert a movie to iphone/itunes using the advanced menu or right clicking I consistently get an error -54. If in itunes preferences I change the location of the itunes music folder back to the start up drive in an empty folder (leaving the content on the non startup drive) itunes will convert the file and the converted file will end up on the startup drive and the error message goes away. This seems like a bug, and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this or if there is something that I can do to fix this . . .

It sounds like you do not have administrator rights on the computer. Are you the only user on the account? You can go into the Control Panel and look under user accounts and see if it lists the account as an administrator.

Invalid number error when trying to convert a varchar2 to a number.

I need to extract the middle four numbers from a varchar2(12) and then convert it to a number. The middle four are numbers but the first four can have letters. I've tried
TO_NUMBER(substr(wptk.ext_wo_num,5,4))

I need to get rid of any 0 that are at the beginning of the four numbers. Some of the data has no 0 and some can have up to three 0 at the beginning. Is there a way to do that?
