Error when trying to save still image from video with Quicktime Pro

I just purchased Quicktime Pro so that I can use it with my new Nano (the one that shoots video). I want to grab a frame from the video and create a still image (in jpeg format). I should be able to do it, but when I try, I get an error 11005 (or something like that). Anyone know any way to fix this? Thanks!

I also tried the alt/ctrl/shift buttons when clicking Editor in the Photoshop welcome screen. It did ask if I wanted to reset the preferences. I chose yes. I still get the same error message when trying to save for web.
Below....showing I don't have a "save for web" folder on my C drive.
And below, showing the same error after pressing alt/shift/ctrl when clicking on editor and clearing the preferences.
I don't have a 'Save for Web' folder anywhere on my C: drive. I searched and came up with no folder with the text "save for web" in it.
I did find a "save for web" folder on my D: drive and deleted that.. but now when I start up Photoshop, the option for Save for Web is grayed out...not able to select it.

  • Extracting Audio from Video With QuickTime Pro?

I read on another discussion board that QuickTime Pro could record/extract audio only from a video file. So I purchased the QuickTime Pro upgrade today (for Windows XP) but can't seem to find out how to do it, assumimg that post was correct and it can be done at all.
The Nero video editing software I use can get the video file in MPEG-2, MPEG-1, AVI and other formats. I tried MPEG-1, but even the conversion to QuickTime's .mov format came up with no audio at all. I noticed a post here saying that was a limitation of the software. I could purchase the QuickTime MPEG-2 add-on but that seems to only allow playback and doesn't look like it will help any.
Another post on the other discussion board said that virtualdub.org has a software program that could do this extraction, but silly me I went with Apple and was delighted to read about the no refund policy just now. :-/
I'm guessing another possible approach is some kind of hardware solution -- a recording device of some sort?

In order to extract a track (video or audio) the file first must have those as independent tracks.
MPEG 1 and 2 are "muxed" (video and audio in the same track) so QuickTime Pro has nothing to extract.
MPEG Streamclip (free) can convert .mpg and .mpeg files to QuickTime formats.
If you export from Nero as .avi you can also use QuickTime Pro to extract tracks as it will have at least two.
MPEG 1 and 2 are playback formats and are not intended to be edited.

I was trying to create a 3d image using the 3d revolve tool. I went to the tool and typed -30 degrees for the space where I was to specify the rotation of the X axis. I typed 0 degrees for specify the rotation of the Y axis. And I put 0 degrees for specify the rotation of the Z axis. I put perspective as 0 degrees, angle as 360 degrees, the cap was on, offset was 0 pt from left edge and surface was plastic shading. Then when i clicked preview i got an error saying `` The operation cannot be complete because there isn`t enough memory(RAM) available. I should have looked closer at your system info on your OP. You're on 10.7 (I'm not) and apparently things are set up differently there. My apologies. I hope someone else will post here. If not, you should probably start a new thread in the 10.7 forum. Good luck to you.

    Back up all data.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership and access-control lists to the default. If you've set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it.
I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, they may not work as described.
    Step 1
If you have more than one user account, and the one in question is not an administrator account, then temporarily promote it to administrator status in the Users & Groups preference pane. To do that, unlock the preference pane using the credentials of an administrator, check the box markedAllow user to administer this computer, then reboot. You can demote the problem account back to standard status when this step has been completed.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
    { sudo chflags -R nouchg,nouappnd ~ $TMPDIR.. ; sudo chown -R $UID:staff ~ $_ ; sudo chmod -R u+rwX ~ $_ ; chmod -R -N ~ $_ ; } 2> /dev/null
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window (command-V). I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use  another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take a few minutes to run, or perhaps longer if you have literally millions of files in your home folder. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign (“$”) to appear, then quit Terminal.
    Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1 or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Boot into Recovery. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open.
In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
    Select
     ▹ Restart

I had the same issue, as suggested by others on similar question I checked my permissions and they were fine.
    This worked for me
    1) First saved the photos from my current Photo Booth library
    2) Deleted the photo booth library folder
    3) Created a new admin user
    4) Copy the photo booth library from the new user and paste it in your user (where the previous photo booth library was)

  • 'System Error' when trying to save Form Manager Registry Settings

    Hi,
trying to save changes made in the form manager registry settings [Home > Services > Adobe LiveCycle Form Manager > Registry Settings (http://localhost:8080/FormManagerAdmin/registry-cfg-load)], I get an error, which reads:
    > System Error
    >
The request could not be processed. Please retry the operation. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator.
Has anyone had this error as well?
The system runs fine apart from the jboss log files being crammed with the well-known and pretty annoying
    SpyJMSException.
Does anyone have an idea how to apply changes to the form manager registry settings, if the web ui does not work? Where are the 'form manager registry settings' being stored? Maybe I succeed in changing the settings manually at least without having to re-install Livecycle...
    Regards,
    Steve

    We are using JBoss 3.2.5.
Weirdly, last week a collegue of mine was able to save the registry changes. This week, both of us get the 'System error' when trying to save changes. Even using a default Administrator account, we were unable to save changes.
Is there any other way apart from the LiveCycle web UI to change the registry settings without having to re-install the server? Where are these values stored?

  • Error when trying to save/apply in OAM Console (credential store / wallet)

So our Admin WLS had accidentally been started as root previously, so we restarted as oracle (after chown -R oracle:oinstall all files), and the Admin Server starts up ok. However, when attempting to save/apply a change within the OAM console, we receive the following error:
Error in creating the credential store (wallet) : JPS-01047: Cannot persist the wallet. Reason java.io.IOException: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /tmp/pki_data1951273487.lck.tmp (Permission denied).
And in the log files this also appears:
    <Mar 29, 2013 2:27:01 PM CDT> <Warning> <oracle.jps.idmgmt> <JPS-01520> <Cannot initialize identity store.>
    java.lang.RuntimeException: java.security.PrivilegedActionException: oracle.security.jps.service.idstore.IdentityStoreException: JP-01520: Cannot initialize identity store.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,

  • Error when trying to save a fillable form?

    Hi,
My staff is getting an error when trying to save information that was typed in a fillable form. They are able to print but cannot save. The error message they are getting is: "Cannot Save Form Information Please note: You cannot save a completed copy of this form on your computer. If you would like a copy for your records, please fill it in and print it." They have also gotten the message: "Save a Blank Copy of this Form Data typed into this form will not be saved. Adobe Reader can only save a blank copy of this form. Please print your completed form if you would like a copy for your records."
This form was created in LiveCycle ES4. I have Adobe XI on my computer and I am able to save the form fine. My staff has Adobe 9 on their computer. Is there anything I can do so that they will be able to save the form on their computer once they have finished filling it out?

And you can fill in and save an LCD form in Reader, if it has the appropriate rights applied to it in Acrobat before-hand.
I thought The latest Reader XI (regardless of Platform) had the ability Print and save with or, without reader rights. That what I've been reading on this forum ever since reader XI came out.
