Error when upgrading from Acrobat Standard X to Pro X
We are installing retail Acrobat Pro X upgrades over OEM Acrobat Standard X (that came on Dell Optiplex 390 systems). We're getting an error message that says "Setup has detected you already have a more functional product installed. Setup will now terminate." That of course, makes no sense. How do we resolve this so we can install these upgrades? Thanks.
Further, it looks like we're not the only ones having this kind of issue: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4110223 - for whatever it's worth.

Error in Access VBA Application when upgrading from Acrobat 8.0 to 9.0
Hello.
The company that I work for recently upgraded from Adobe Acrobat 8.0 to 9.0 and I`m experiencing some problems with my Access 2003 VBA Application that extracts text from PDF-files and insert it into a table. I have tried adding references to Adobe 9.0 Type Library, but still no luck. Anyone having any ideas for a workaround? See attatched image for error-message. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

XLR run-time error when upgrading from 2007A PL 39 to PL 42
My client recently upgraded from 2007A PL 39 to Pl 42, In PL 39, everything, including XLR, was running smoothly. Mow when client tried to open SBO, he gets this message:
XL Reporter
Run-time error u2018430u2019:
Class does not support Automation or does not support expected interface
The client has uninstalled and re-installed mythe client software, but gets the same error.
Any suggestions?Hi Katie,
this error can occur with a DIAPI version mis-match. Again note 1247315 should help you in this regard, as there are steps there to follow.
If the note doesn't help, you could also set the logging level to 6 which would provide more information:
a. Locate the following key in the registry:
My computer\HKey_Current_User\software\SAP\SAPManage\SAP Business One\AddOn
b. Double click on logging level and enter value 6
c. Start XLR
Please send the log in SAP Business One Log folder from
Start->Run->%type%, you'll find log called SAPAddOn_01.log

Best regards,
Guiga HafedhThere are more detailed logs for the various components. The one of interesting is the one for the engine or possibly the one for full-text.
These logs are extremely verbose, and the errors are rarely crystal clear, but at least give them a try. If you have problems, find a place to upload them (Dropbox, Skrydrive etc), so that we can look.
The closest at hand is that "group" that cannot be found is an AD group.

Runtime error when Upgrading from 8.81 pl05 to 8.81 pl08
Hello experts,
When upgrading 8.81 PL05 to 8.81 PL08, I encounter a runtime error concerning a Microsoft C++ Runtime Library. the text in the error box is "Runtime Error ! Program : D... R6025 -pure virtual function call. "
This error occured after the database check, the server tools and the common data base upgrades have already succeded. So at the end of the production database upgrade after each the databases have been upgraded, at the precise moment of Cost Center upgrades the upon descipted error occurs.
What could be the origin of this error ? What should I do in order to upgrades in PL08 ?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Sébastien TABOREHello
I have the same issue and i would try with the possible solution but the link doesn´t exists anymore.
I received the same Error (Run Time Error program R-6025 pre virtual
function call.) At the moment it appears only when i make a search e.g. for the todays Outgoing Payments (around 60 registers) on the OVPM table.
But i'm affraid that could be appear more often or inside another transaction like invoices or sales order which are very important to us.

Adobe reader error when upgrading from 9.4 to 9.4.5
I need to do the upgrade manually, and not the auto upgrade direct from adobe. When we have adobe
9.4 on the PC and do the upgrade to 9.4.5 I get this error.
Windows installer window comes up with this:
"The upgrade patch cannot be installed by installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing, or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that have the correct upgrade patch."
The patch and the Adobe versions are all correct, I think it's something in the MSI file ???
Any suggestions???
Thanks
PaulIn addition, if you are talking about Reader, not Acrobat, then you need to install the appropriate updates for Reader. For Acrobat you can go to Help>Check for updates and try that. You may have to repeat it. If you are doing a manual update, then you need to go to the updatte page in the download portion of the Adobe site and download all subnumbers after the one you currently have and install them in order. Be sure to use the Reader or Acrobat updates as appropriate, they are not the same product. There is no product named Adobe 9. Adobe is the company and the products are Acrobat 9 or Reader 9. It is not clear which you have.

Error when upgrading from 10.4 to 10.5
Hi,
I am getting an error message when I attempt to upgrade my macbook from 10.4.11 to 10.5. Before the installation begins I receive a message that states "You need 10.4 before upgrading.
I thought it may have been a HD problem so I used disk utilities to verify permissions. I then repaired permissions that were damaged but the problem still is occurring. I have updated the computer completely and I meet the required specs to run 10.5.
I think it sounds like I may have a systems file issue. Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.
BTW the Leopard disc is a retail version.MikeStan wrote:

A retail version does not check for previous OSs. In fact it will install on a blank HD.
If it is a retail version, backup your HD (clone is preferred) and then insert the retail DVD and reboot holding down the "C" key and continue.
If you still get the message about 10.4 not being found, check the DVD carefully. Did you buy it from an Apple store or official Apple retailer? -
"This field name is not known" error when upgrading from VS 2003 to VS 2005
When we upgraded our web servers from VS 2003 to 2005, our crystal reports web viewer began having a problem with reports that contained sub-reports. We now are getting the following error on the web page. The reports were developed in Crystal 10, but I upgraded them to Crystal 11 but still recieved the same error.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also Try to update the database connection for the report.
You can do that by opening report in designer, then
Go To Database Menu -> Setdatasource Location
Connect to the datasource you want and update the datasource.
Save the report.
Hope this Helps !!!

Hello,
I have been trying to upgrade my windows 8 laptop to 8.1. However update fails due to error 0x8007001f. I have found out about this error is that an attached device is not working. How can I determine what is causing the issue?
Before finding out what the error specifically ment, these are the troubleshooting steps I've tried so far:
(1)Unplug all external devices, (like USB flash drives, mouse)
(2)A clean boot startup
(3)Turning off virus protection
(4)Installing the KB2864247 UPDATE
Thanks
in advance to anyone who responds.
(I've also heard that I should try to upload the setup logs file as a possibility, but I don't understand how to do so from this link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh824819.aspx)Hi,
Did this issue occurred when downloading the 8.1 update by windows store?
I suggest we try following steps and try to reinstall again:
Step 1:Clean update temp files:
1.Press Windows key + R, type service.msc and press enter.
2.Stop Windows update service.
3.Run following command lines one by one to clear update temp files:
cd %windir%
ren SoftwareDistribution SDTemp
exit
4.Restart Windows update service.
Step 2:Clear windows store catch:
1.Press the Windows + R keys on your keyboard to open the Run dialog.
2.Type WSReset.exe, and click/tap on OK.
3.The Store will now open, and state the following: The cache for the store was cleared. You can now browse the store for apps
If the issue persists, I suggest we backup all important files and try Reset this PC: PC settings -> Update and Recovery -> Recovery -> Remove everything and reinstall PC
Hope this helps.

Edited by: Claudio Maddalozzo on Nov 10, 2010 12:31 PMHi,
Official starting patch level to install B1 is SAP B1 8.8 SP00 PL10. it is for fresh installation. you may uinstall the PL05 first and then install the PL10. After install the PL10, you can upgrade to whatever version of PL but I suggest to upgrade directly to PL16.
The another concern of your problem is the using of windows server 2008 R2 x64. This is not supported by SAP B1 8.8 SP00 PL05.
you may check this link to know more detail:
https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/smb/sbo/platforms
I quoted here:
Server Platforms 2005 A SP01 Add-Ons 2005 SP01 2005 B 2007 A 2007 B 8.8 / 8.81
Microsoft® Windows Server 2008 R2 (21)
- 64 Bit (x64) (22)
(incl. Windows Terminal Services) (12)
- Standard & Enterprise Edition X (24) X (24) X (24)
note:
(21) According to Microsoft® Corp., Windows Server 2008 R2 only supports SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 and SQL Server 2008 Service Pack 1 and later versions.
(22) Microsoft® Corp. has announced that Windows Server 2008 is the last 32-bit Windows operating system. Therefore, support for 32-bit processors (x86) has been removed from Windows Server 2008 R2.
(24) Supported as of 2007 A SP01 PL08, 2007 B PL15, and 8.8 PL07. Make sure to also read SAP Notes 1434624 and 1435183 as well as the SAP Notes referenced in the Related Notes sections.
you must use PL10 as a starting PL before upgrade to PL16 in W2K8 R2 x64.

Upgrade from Acrobat Standard 7 to Acrobat X Standard
I have two Acrobat installation disks: Acrobat 6 and Acrobat 7 standard (the latter an upgrade) with serial numbers.
These were originally installed on an XP Pro machine, but now I need to transfer to Windows 7 (Professional, 64-bit).
I'm having trouble discovering with certainty whether the Acrobat X Standard editon upgrade will 'work'. It would appear that I would need to install 6, then 7 and then the X upgrade.
Can anyone kindly tell me whether I'm likely to encounter problems with this process? You don't need to install previous versions when installing an upgrade
version. You do need to have the serial number of the full-qualified
earlier product (and possibly those of any upgrades in between). If you
have those, it shouldn't be a problem. -

Ild error when upgrading from WorkShop 6.1 to 6.2
I'm trying to use WorkShop 6 update 2 to compile and link.
The options are "-compat=5 -O -instances=static -features=bool -g -xs -O0 -library=iostream,rwtools7 -liostream -mt -lCstd -lCrun -lthread -lc ...".
But link editor reports errors (seems multiply-defined):

ild: (error) __RTTI__1nYNamedHookApplicationBase_ is defined in files NamedHooks.o and MessageHookEntryFilter.o
ild: (error) __RTTI__1CpnYNamedHookApplicationBase_ is defined in files NamedHooks.o and MessageHookEntryFilter.o
Previously, I used 6.1 to do the same thing, free of any error. :(
And I could not find any more about that thourgh 6.2 Release Notes.
Did I miss any thing?
Thanks so much!Well, it's strange.
I removed "-instances=static" from compilation to test. And this time, no such error was raised any more.
In my opinion, the very characteristic of static instances linkage is that all the instances are placed under the current compilation (and are not visible outside the compilation unit), which might increase the size of the program.
But one more problem about "-lcx" occurred when I compile and link another set of C++ source files:
The error messages are:

Still like the "ild error" we've been discussed, this kind of errors were not reported when I use lower version compiler 6.1.
What puzzles me is that there is no "-B" option in the compilation cmd. But it seems that ld tried to link "libcx.a" but "libcx.so", even "libcx.so.1" does exist under the same directory. Then I ran an experiment, I manally put "-Bdynamic" before "-lcx", the error messages remain. :(
I didn't get much result after search "-lcx" from internet. Do you know why this happens?
Thanks,
