Error while activating transformation for a infocube.

hi experts,
This is Lalitha.I am new to BI7.
I am trying to load data from flatfile into infocube.I have loaded master data successfully.while creating datasource for transactional data i am getting warning :External length specification will be ignored.
Even then I was able to load data into PSA.Now i am trying to create transformation for the infocube, but I am getting a error :Conversion type missing
and Field /BIC/IO_PRC9 must be assigned to an InfoObject
I have mentioned the infoObjects for datasource in the fields tab.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Hi,
Some times we have to assign manually as system does not create automatically 1:1 rule in some cases which i don't know.
Click on = at transformation and you will get the window, Under assign objects you can assign required fields to target field. this will clear your second error.
For first error -
If conversion type is missed for Price object. - Did you create the Price KF with Fixed currency or 0currency. if it is 0currency, in source system you should have one extra field with the units for Price field. As per iam concerned, If it is fixed currency it should activate - delete that particular transformation and recreate it.
Thats what i used to do. i got the result.

Just to be sure - I should simply change "SOURCE_PACKAGE" to "DATA_PACKAGE" in the code of the start routine? "Source_Package" is present in two places in that code:

          monitor                  type rstr_ty_t_monitors

and then after that in:

    l_abort.
Or should I revert to the 3.5 version? (as a side note, that Data Source (2LIS_13_VDITM) has been activated in 7.0 version by default, when I replicated data sources in BW).
Praveen, as to your remarks, I have the datasource 2LIS_13_VDITM (in version 7.0) active, along with the appropriate Infosource. Transformation between the DataSource and InfoSource is active, and only the transformation between the InforSource and the Cube poses problems.

Hi,
while I am Extrating Data From Flat File I encountered this Error.
I am working on ECC 6.0 , BI 7.0.
I am trying this one in IDES, it is newly installed server.
For Flat File Extraction I follwed the Steps
1) I created Data source -
let us assume I have created a Flat File with 3 fields
SNO SNAME MARKS
File is located in workstation
Data source created successfull , I have checked in preview.
2) I have created 2 key Figures, 1 characteristic
3) I have created Infocube
here I have some doubt
while I am creating Infocube, the look and Feel is very different to 3.XX
when i try to create in 3.XX , we can see the Tabs for Kef figs,chars,Time chars and we assign chars to Dimenstions.
when i am creating Infocube in BI 7.0 , I don't Find such a Tabs and how I am assign the chars to Dimension
I created Like this
select
Info Area -
> create Info cube -
given name of the cube and create (F5).
the Info cube window displayed on the Right side
Then I did like this
select
key Figures -
> Info object Direct Input
Then I inserted my two key figures SNO,MARKS
--- continue (F5)
Dimension 1 -
> Info object Direct Input
I inserted the 1 char SNAME
--- continue (F5)
Then I saved the Info cube
Info cube saved successfull and activated successfull
Is it Right way For create InfoCube ?
4) I created Transfomation for the Data source
Data source -
> create Transfomation
I have given
Object Type : InfoCube
Name :YSTU - i selected which I already created.
It automaticall taken these parameters
Obejct Type : DataSource
Data source : YSTU
source system :PC_FILE
create Transformation (Enter)
I got the Error
Cannot generate proposal
Message no. RSTRAN017
Then I try to activate, I got the Error.
Error while activating transformation
Message no. RSTRAN510
Before I post this , I had searched in Previous SDN post for this Error , But I can't understand the solution.
I have lot of doubts like Basis Guy need to install any Patch or
I did mistake any where.
Help me to Find the solution...

and i created Info Package too for the Data source , created successfully.
I am struck on Final step creating DTP
when I am creating DTP
Data Transfer Proc : here I need to give the Dtp name ex: YDTP
DTP Type : Standard (Can be sheduled)
Target of DTP
Object Type : Info cube
Name : YSTU (This is my Cube Name)
Source of DTP
Object Type : Data source (It automatically Taken)
Data source : This is Disabled
Source system: This is Disabled

I got the message ?

i checked the routine for co_om_wbs_3 the syntex was correct.

Error while activating Transformations

Hi gurus,
Iam facing a problem while activating Transformations.
Its a flat filre loading consisting of 4 objects , 3 are standard and one is customised key figure ZPLN_VAL Data type is Amount, currency is fixed INR.
But iam getting following errors while activating transformations.
1,RULE(target ZPLN_VAL, Group;01 standard group); Conversion type missing.
2.RULE7 (Target field:ZPLN_VAL) Field planned value must be assigned to an Infoobject.
3.RULE(TARGET FIELD ZPLN_VAL) NO SOURCE UNIT ASSIGNED.

Error while activating transformation

Hi Experts,
I need to activate a transformation between a cube and DSO.
But I am getting an error message while activating the Transformation the messages are as followed.
1. Error when writing routines
   Message Number. RSAA561
2. Error while activating transformation
    Message Number. RSTRAN510
3. Error activating transformation.
   Message number. RSO404
I have checked the transformation and each field is mapped to correct field and there are no routines its just 1:1 mapping can any body tell how to check the error on basis of Message Number as there is no other information available when we are displaying the error.

Might be a problem with the time conversion routines. delete the transformationa nd try again.

There may be many issues like:
If you have any routines, check the syntax.
Check all the fields are mapped properly or not.
Check any currency or unit conversion in transformation.
Data type mismatch -> make sure source and target infoobject either numerical or interconvertible.
Length mismatch between source and target infoobject.

I think you are trying to activate the transformation.
Have you tried to generate proposal?
I think you will get the following error message :
Cannot generate proposal
Message no. RSTRAN017
the system would never generate a proposal . u need to map the fields manually in the transformations... after u map it ... check the mapping and activate it ...
Due to this when you are going to activate the transformation it is throwing this error message.
If this works kindly assign me some points.

While creating a transformation for DSO in SAP BI, I got an error "Data source xxx (FS_xxx) does not exist in version A". I would like to know what this error is all about and how to resolve this issue.

Hi Bhusan,
You have to activate your datasoure to make it as an ACTIVE version.
SO in RSA1>Modelling>Datasouces--> find your datasource name and activate it first.
Then create your transformation and continue with other steps.

I also checked that one but it was not showing any errors. Why i got this problem is we have a start routine in this one when i am loading data into that it was getting an error that there was a problem in start routine.
So, what i have done i commented the start routine and again activated the transformation it thrown an error. again i uncommented the start routine and start doing activation it was throwing the same error. Can u please reply if u can understand my question or not.

ASSERTION_FAILED error while activating transformation

We are on SP10. Applied the OSS note 989932 as per the suggestions of the forum members. Still having the runtime error. Not able to activate the transformation after changes made to the routines. Please let me know if you guys know any other solution than OSS note 989932. Already looked for '00' entries in RSTRANRULE table.

If you apply the OSS note 989932 after attempting to activate a transformation and then hit that Assertion Failed error, you still need to follow fix this error manually by following the instructions mentioned in OSS note 998730.

Following error while activating after creating new Infocube:
No active nametab exists for /BIC/DDPCW14DFD1
Termination due to inconsistencies
Table /BIC/DDPCW14DFD1 (Statements could not be generated)
Enhancement category for table missing
The cube is being made as a exact copy of an existing activated and correctly working cube.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

I've changed a DSO, i.e., added new InfoObjects . All the fields are mapped properly.
When I'm actvating transformation - its giving me error messages
- Error while activating transformation - RSTRAN510
- Error when writing routines - RSAA561
- Error when activating Transformation 0KC0IK6EYKKG22LW9MN80OV6H9RUZWNR - RSO404
I tried the following:
1. Tried actvating the Transformation after deleting data from DSO.
2. Tried logging off /nrsal and performed Actvation.
To Update:
1. There is no start routine and end routine written for this DSO.
Can anybody help me in fixing this problem.

InfoObjects: Deleting temporal hierarchy join in target syst, or due to deleting routines or even you can get this msg when you had not assigened the Units.

Getting error in activating transformation in BI content

Hi Experts,
When I am activating this transformation CUBE 0PA_C01 -> CUBE 0TMC_C02 in bi content, I am getting error "Endroutine: Syntax error in routine".
I checked the end routine and checked it and received following msg:
E:The data object "LS_RESULT" has no component called "POT_VL_K", but there is a component called "POT_VL_C"
Since this is standard routine I cannot edit it.
Any suggestions..

But I am getting other errors while activating other transformations also which are as follows:
1. Transformation- TRCS 0PA_TMC_11 -> ODSO 0TMC_DS11
error message: Error in end routine
E:The data object "LS_RESULT" does not have a component called "NOM_STATUS".
2. Transformation- ODSO 0TMC_DS11 -> CUBE 0TMC_C01
Error while activating transformation Message no. RSTRAN510
3. In another transformation. The following infobject is kef figure.
Error:
InfoObject 0ACTION_CNT (version A) is not compounded
P.S: The solution provided by you in previous message needs to modify routine. But since this is standard routine how can i do it? Did you implement on your side?
