Dear all,
while doing asset trasfer we r getting error that balancing field "profit center" in line item 001 is not filled
we r using 6.0 version and we assigend the profit center correctly only.
plz respond as soon as possible.

Hi,
In the T.Code ACSET check for the company code whether Account Assignment Object KOSTL is activated for all Transactions for Account Assignment Type APC value posting and Depreciation Run.
If you fill this and assign the cost center in the asset master then you can get rid of the Balance Filed Profit Center error in your transactions.

Hi,
when trying to retire an asset linked to a group asset, please carefully check the values on your group asset.
Sometimes the error occurs if a dep. area is assigned to a group asset and the transactions on this area amount to zero.
May I invite you to review below notes also. You may find, that certain constellations with your situation could
be valid, too.

Error while Asset settlement

as i have transferred last year internal order balance to the new internal order in this year.
and when i was running th Ko88 for AUC to main asset settlemnt it gave me below error.

Diagnosis
According to the specifications for transfer variant 5, depreciation area 02 should be transferred gross. However, the recieving asset 1100 1000008-0 does not manage this depreciation area.
Procedure
Check the transfer variant and the receiving asset.</b>

i have a below complex situation.
user has posted value to IO and they settled it to AUC in last year but they did not settle it to Main asset.
so anyting they have settled to last year to AUC, now it needs to be settled to Main asset but it is not allowing me to do that and shooting me error that ''First settle items from the previous year in the previous year"
so how can i settle AUC amount to main asset which was settled in last year?

Diagnosis
Field names in the transfer structure can be a max of 16 characters long. Field name DAY_ACTU_PROGRESS in transfer structure ZPS_CDPR_HA has a length of 17.
I have checked all the area i didnt find mismatching of the length.

As the message says the field length is 17 characters.
Do you have any field with name DAY_ACTU_PROGRESS In datasource / Infosource?
All you have to do is rename the field by reducing 1 character and activate the transfer Rule.

I am facing an error while posting a write up for an asset which belong to an affiliated company. Error is
Transaction type 790 not possible (posting to affiliated company)

I am using Transaction type 711 which is linked to 790 in custo. Kinldy let me know how to resolve this issue.

According to this note for document type used, we should not select the 'inter company posting' or 'enter trading partner indicator'
but as i m doing writeup for asset belonging to affiliated company, so i need to set this indicator. the document type used is standard AA
Is there any other way, to resolve the issue

Error while doing ABGL Asset Credit Memo

Hi Friends,
I am getting the below error while doing Asset Credit Memo in ABGL. Please help me in fix this issue.
Balance for transaction type group 10 negative for the area 01
Note:In Asset Explorer Fiscal year start Asset value is 98,425.45 and Change is 4768.19. So total Asset value as of now is 1,03,193.64.
Now we are trying to do ABGL with 12,790.23 value (Transaction type is 105). System is giving the above highlighted error.
If we give the amount 4768.19 in ABGL transaction, system is not giving any error. If we give more that that system is giving error.
Why system is giving error even the asset has balance of 1,03,193.64? Please help me on this..

Hi,
If the asset has been capitalized during earlier years, use ABGF to post credit memo. ABGL is meant for assets capitalized during the year.

As u imported data from CIM for production and publishing(assuming u imported for both), There is no need to run BIZUI.bat mannually, CIM runs this.
Coming to ur error:
From the logs it seems that following mapMode is missing, It's OOTB and should have been loaded while Viewmapping repository data load.

I think there must have been problems during CIM data for publishing environment loading and because of that viemmapping is not loaded properly.

Hi to All,
I am getting following error while posting aquisition entry.
"Company code 211 manages parallel currencies in Asset Accounting. For each area that posts automatically online to FI, you have to define one dependent depreciation area that adopts both identical values and depreciation terms from depreciation area 01, and which is assigned to currency type 30 and currency GBP. There is no depreciation area of this type defined for depreciation area 01"
I had made all settings what the error says above but still error persists.

I am getting the below error while doing F-90 Asset Acquisation scenario. Please help me to fix this issue.

You entered a tax code which is not defined for the country of the company code to be posted to in the tax calculation procedure.

Check and, if necessary, correct the entry.

If it is not an input error, check and possibly change the system settings.
To do this, choose Maintain entries (F5).
Check whether the company code is assigned to the correct country and whether the correct tax calculation procedure has been entered for the company code country.
Create a new tax code if necessary.
Caution:
Since it is possible that the tables in question are being updated at a different time on another computer, it can take a certain amount of time for the tax code to be on all local machines in client server architectures after saving the new code.

you need to maintain Tax Code A0 & V0 in t.code OBCL t.code.
and also ensure to check whether you have created tax code V1 or not in FTXP t.code. If not, create V1 tax code and assign GL on that in the right Transaction event keys in OB40.

FA Retirement- 21151: error while posting asset document: '100000039'

Hello Experts,
I have a client who encountered this error during fixed asset retirement - scrapping.
After selecting the asset to be retired, sap did not assign an account in the account column, but the user
was able to save the document. After saving it, the user needs to retire again another asset - scrapping, but the document would not be saved because of this error: 21151: error while posting asset document '100000039'. The document number the systems is referring to is the last document saved but sap did not assign an account code.
Please help. My client is using sap b1 8.81 patch5.

What we did is to put letters on the number so the series will continue example there is already 100333, 100334, 100335 since the error is encountered from 100333. We add 100333A, 100334A, 100335A.

while posting asset acquisition in f-90 iam getting error that "asset is incomplete' when analysed using RAUNVA00 , it is asking to update field group-22 i.e scrap value, but this field is not found in asset master, pls help me.

In AS02 you go the Depreciation key and double click on the depreciation key. In the following screen "additional Specifications" you give Scrap value.

Do u have the list of all such assets for which no depreciation has been posted. If yes, then go to AFAB, upload the list all these assets & then select the radio button as 'repeat'.
This will post you depreciation for all the assets. then close the year.

Error while encoding then missing assets

I am trying to burn a file that has been exported from Final Cut. Compressor used in the sequence was DV NTSC. I exported as a QT movie (.mov) and left everything to current settings and self compressed. The file was a little under 2GB. I Imported into DVD Studio Pro which played the movie in viewer and in the simulation just fine. When I tell it to burn it gives me an "error while encoding file" and tells me the file. When I go back into the assets window the movie (not the audio from the movie) is red indicated it is not linked. When I relink it, it works, then go to burn and the same cycle starts again. I had this problem before and it magically worked a couple of days later. But, now it is happening again and I want to be active in finding a problem instead of waiting around and praying. Any ideas? Codec conflict? .mov? uncompressed? Is DV an issue? maybe DV exported as mov? I have no clue, but I feel like someone may have had this problem before and if we fix it, someone else will benefit from our solution Thanks for help!

Note: I was running FCP and DVDSP at the same time. Maybe thats it? I feel like it shouldn't be. I am restarting my computer and PRAMming right now.
