Error while calling BI Publisher 11g webservice.URGENT
I am trying to schedule existing report and pass parameter using web service API.
This is soap envelope I am passing in the web service call:
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
<soapenv:Body>
<pub:scheduleReport xmlns:pub="http://xmlns.oracle.com/oxp/service/PublicReportService">
<scheduleRequest>
<deliveryChannels>
<emailOptions>
<emailBody>webservice test</emailBody>
<emailFrom>[email protected]</emailFrom>
<emailSubject>test report</emailSubject>
<emailTo>xxx</emailTo>
</emailOptions>
</deliveryChannels>
<reportRequest>
<attributeFormat>excel2000</attributeFormat>
<reportAbsolutePath>/~weblogic/List of Requests 3.xdo</reportAbsolutePath>
<*paramNameValues>*
*<paramNameValue>*
*<name>P_REQUEST_ID</name>*
*<multiValuesAllowed>false</multiValuesAllowed>*
*<values>*
*<value>166</value>*
*</values>*
*</paramNameValue>*
*</paramNameValues>*
</reportRequest>
<userJobName>test_job</userJobName>
</scheduleRequest>
<userID>test</userID>
<password>test123</password>
</pub:scheduleReport>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
This is the response I am getting as the result of the call:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<soapenv:Envelope xmlns:soapenv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<soapenv:Body>
<soapenv:Fault><faultcode>soapenv:Server.userException</faultcode><faultstring>org.xml.sax.SAXException: Invalid element in oracle.xdo.webservice.v2.ReportRequest - paramNameValues</faultstring>
<detail><ns1:hostname xmlns:ns1="http://xml.apache.org/axis/">xxx</ns1:hostname></detail></soapenv:Fault>
</soapenv:Body>
</soapenv:Envelope>
So error message says: org.xml.sax.SAXException: Invalid element in oracle.xdo.webservice.v2.ReportRequest - paramNameValues
I think there is a problem with the format of ParamNameValues, just don't know what exactly is the problem.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Mikhail

Error while calling BI Publisher from Forms 10g using Webservice - Urgent !
Hi,
I am calling a BI Publisher(10.1.3.4.1) webservice from the Forms 10g (10.1.2.0.2). I developed a jar file which works fine when I run from the Jdeveloper. I have successfully attached jar file to the Forms 10g but when I am calling from the when-button-pressed trigger I am getting beow error
Exception: java.lang.Exception: java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: oracle.j2ee.ws.saaj.client.p2p.HttpSOAPConnection.setPreemptiveBasicAuth(Z)V
Thanks in advanceWhat steps did you follow to successfully attached jar file to the Forms 10g? To me, it sounds like you don't have your .jar file configured with Forms Builder and/or your App Server. Your .jar file needs to be added to the FORMS_CLASS_PATH in the default.env and the FORMS_CLASS_PATH registry entry. You will likely need to modify the formsweb.cfg also to include your .jar in the archive= or archive_jini= variables (depending on your JRE [Jinitiator or Sun JRE respectively]).
It could also be a dependency on an additional Java library. Is "setPreemptiveBasicAuth" a method that you created or it is a dependent method from an additional library?
Let us know this; as well as which Java version you're using.
By the way, with respects to your "Urgent!" request. You have to understand that forum contributers are purely voluntary - this is not our full-time job. If your issue is truely urgent, it is always best to open a Service Request (SR) with Oracle Support than to rely on the forum for an urgent reply! ;-)
Hope this helps,

Error while calling WebService inside ISchedulerTask.
Hi,
Env: NW 2004s
I have a requirement of calling webservice frequently. I developed a portal project with scheduler, where the application gives a runtime error while calling/reading the property file (which is generated during the webservice proxy generation, without it webservice call is impossible).
I have varified the ear file which contains all the required class files and config files including property file.
fyi:
portalapp.xml file looks like this.
+
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<application>
<application-config>
<property name="SharingReference" value="usermanagement, knowledgemanagement, landscape, htmlb, exportalJCOclient, exportal"/>
</application-config>
<components/>
<services>
<service name="RFServiceWrapper">
<service-config>
<property name="className" value="com.sap.netweaver.rf.wrapper.RFServiceWrapper"/>
<property name="startup" value="true"/>
</service-config>
</service>
</services>
</application>

Any input will be highly appreciated.

Error while calling the Mapping function module for BW Extraction
Hi
iam getting runtime error while calling the BW mapping function
The error description is as shown below.
Runtime Errors CALL_FUNCTION_UC_STRUCT
Except. CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE
<b>Short text</b>
Type conflict during structure parameter transfer at CALL FUNCTION.
<b>What happened?</b>
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "GP466CV1Y7W2VML1PJ3VB80KDOP" had to be terminated
because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
<b>Error analysis</b>
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE', was
not caught in
procedure "CALL_MAPPING_FUNCTION" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING
clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
In the function "CMS_CB_BW_MAP", the STRUCTURE parameter "EXTRACT_DATA" is
typed in such a way
that only actual parameters are allowed, which are compatible in Unicode
with respect to the fragment view. However, the specified actual
parameter " " has an incompatible fragment view.
I am passing the EXTRACT_DATA parameter as specification LIKE with the associated type - corresponding structure
Please let me know how can i resolve this issue

SatyaHi vlsn,
Can you try with the below code
// in your backing bean
OperationBinding operation = bindings.getOperationBinding("verifyLogin");
//Put your both parameters here
operation.getParamsMap().put("parameter_name1", parameterValue1);
operation.getParamsMap().put("parameter_name2", parameterValue2);
operation.execute();
if (operation.getResult() != null) {
Boolean result = (Boolean) operation.getResult();
and share the result.

Error while calling RFC when using BSP Web Interface
Hi,
we have a problem with the Authorization when we use an Web Interface for BSP. We have assigned all roles to the user which were mentioned in the SAP standard documentation:
R_AREA
R_METHOD
R_PACKAGE
R_PARAM
R_PLEVEL
R_PM_NAME
R_PROFILE
R_STS_PT
R_STS_SUP
R_WEBITF
S_RS_ADMWB
S_RS_AUTH
S_RS_COMP
S_RS_COMP1
S_RS_DAS
S_RS_ICUBE
but we still get the error message: "Error while calling RFC".
When using a user with SAP_ALL, it works.
What can we do?
Thx for your time.
JoergActually that's surprising - because BSP (Business Server Pages) and RFC (Remote Function Call) are not related; they use totally different transport protocols (http vs. RFC). Even if an BSP application is calling a function module remotely (acting as RFC client) no authorizations for S_RFC are required - in the calling system (but in the called system, i.e. the RFC server).
Since assigning SAP_ALL seems to "cure" the problem, it seems to be an authorization issue, indeed. In that case it makes sense to use the authorization trace (ST01 - notice: that's specific to one single ABAP application server; you might have to activate the trace on multiple instances) to find out which authorizations are checked / demanded. -
Finding an error while calling an RFC
Hi,
My requirement is as follows.
The internal table(ITAB) which i am using has a field X of length 20 and the Internal table(RFCITAB) field Y found the RFC is of length 10. Here i am creating another 3rd internal table(ITAB1) with field Z of length 10 and i am moving the content of field X from ITAB to ITAB1 and i am passing Z value of ITAB1 to the RFC.
While executing it i am getting the error 'Interface data error'.
please let me know why this error is getting populated.
Regards,
SumiHi,
I have a field lenght of 20 digits in BKPF-AWKEY and it has value of only 10 digits.
I am moving this 10 digits to a new field in a new internal table and i am passing this value to the RFC.
I am getting error while calling the RFC.

Hi GuRuS,
I am working on BI 7.0. When I open the BPS workbench using Transaction bps0 and select the planning area 4TPM9000, and click on either "Variables" tab or "Master Data" tab or when I click on "Adhoc Package", I get this error " You have selected a function, to execute this the system must set up an RFC connection to another SAP System. However, setting up this connection was not successful. The following internal error message was generated: Error while calling up RFC. "
FYI I have done RFC connections between my CRM 2007 system and BI 7.0 system using Tr.SM59 and checked the connections from both the ends and it is working fine. So, pls show me the way out.
Thanks in advance,
RaghuHi...
