Error : while calling CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES= EXECUTE

HI Expert,
I am calling CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES=>EXECUTE in a RFC for running a Java program.This Java program converts a GIF image to Bitmap.
When i execute this RFC (containing method) manually then there is no problem and it works perfectly but when the same RFC is called through outside means from Java code then it gives error - "Access via NULL Object reference".
How to resolve the error.

Methods of class CL_GUI_FRONTEND_SERVICES would only work if you try to execute them form the SAP GUI. That's why your RFC works good when you are running manually.
You can let your JAVA program handle the functionality which you are trying to achieve by running the EXECUTE method.

operation not found error while calling AM methods from managed bean.
written a method with two parameters in AM.
exposed the method in AM client interface
in the page bindings added the method in method action ..left empty in the value fields of the parameters.
calling the method from managed bean like below

Finding an error while calling an RFC

Hi,
My requirement is as follows.
The internal table(ITAB) which i am using has a field X of length 20 and the Internal table(RFCITAB) field Y found the RFC is of length 10. Here i am creating another 3rd internal table(ITAB1) with field Z of length 10 and i am moving the content of field X from ITAB to ITAB1 and i am passing Z value of ITAB1 to the RFC.
While executing it i am getting the error 'Interface data error'.
please let me know why this error is getting populated.

I am moving this 10 digits to a new field in a new internal table and i am passing this value to the RFC.

I am working on BI 7.0. When I open the BPS workbench using Transaction bps0 and select the planning area 4TPM9000, and click on either "Variables" tab or "Master Data" tab or when I click on "Adhoc Package", I get this error " You have selected a function, to execute this the system must set up an RFC connection to another SAP System. However, setting up this connection was not successful. The following internal error message was generated: Error while calling up RFC. "
FYI I have done RFC connections between my CRM 2007 system and BI 7.0 system using Tr.SM59 and checked the connections from both the ends and it is working fine. So, pls show me the way out.

JCO.Server Error while trying to execute a RFC program from SAP

Hi,
We are connecting to an external registered server program from SAP via Web Methods.
The external server program is registered with the SAP Gateway. We have created a TCP/IP RFC destination and are able to connect to the destination successfully via SM59.
An RFC function is created in SAP and is called using the syntax CALL FUNCTION "/NGN/BAPI_STRE_SEARCH_PROCESS" DESTINATION 'PRDB2B'. We have also handled the COMM_FALIURE and SYSTEM_FALIURE exceptions in the function call.
We are monitoring the gateway via SMGW and see a connection log to the RFC destination as below

Status - CONNECTED
Symbolic - PRDB2B
Conversation - 86520353
Prot - REG
SAP return code - 0
CPIC rtn code - 0
The external program returns results as expected.
However sometimes the RFC fails and returns the message JCO.Server could not create server function /NGN/BAPI_STRE_SEARCH_PROCESS.
We are not able to figure what exactly is causing this error. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Iam getting error while calling subnode..
I have a node SHIPMENT(cardinality 1-1), containes another node IMPORTING (cardinality 0-n ). it containes attributes, one of attribute is I_VTTK_SHTYP of type TVTK-SHTYP.
I am binding this attribute to DDBI texts property.. and my code is
lo_nd_importing_1 = wd_context->get_child_node( name = 'IMPORTING' ).
lo_nd_importing_1->BIND_TABLE( lt_i_vttk_shtyp ).
If iam using above code i am getting this error...
Subnode MAIN.IMPORTING_1 does not exist
If i use this code..
lo_nd_importing_1 = wd_context->path_get_node( path = `SHIPMENT.IMPORTING` ).
lo_nd_importing_1->BIND_TABLE( lt_i_vttk_shtyp ).
It executing perfectly, but i am not getting data into dropdown, but i checked through debugging, data is available in table, after binding i am not getting...
Any help???

Node names everything is correct.. here the code i am using
SD_SHIPMENT_CREATE is the FM i am using..
Node : SD_SHIPMENT_CREATE (1-1) under this another node IMPORTING_1(0-n) in that node one attribute I_VTTK_SHTYP i am using this and bind with DDBI texts property.
WDDOINIT
    data nd type ref to if_wd_context_node.
    DATA lo_nd_importing_1 TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_node.
    DATA lo_el_importing_1 TYPE REF TO if_wd_context_element.

Error while calling COM routines via application program (return code 40028

Hi ,
When i am doing these steps i am getting the following error.
1.from SAP menu...Demand Planning>Planning>Interactive Demand planning
       2.after the transaction gets loaded...click on the 2nd button that is selection window from the left ALV menu..on the top.
        3.type the below
show - Material
APO Planning Version - K01
Material - 12345
4.Material 12345 will be loaded
5.Double click and i am getting ''error Error while calling COM routines via application program (return code 40028)''
Note : Observed that this is not happening everytime, but happening alternatively.
Can any one say what is the problem for Error.

System error while calling webservice adapter

Error while calling WebService inside ISchedulerTask.

Env: NW 2004s
I have a requirement of calling webservice frequently. I developed a portal project with scheduler, where the application gives a runtime error while calling/reading the property file (which is generated during the webservice proxy generation, without it webservice call is impossible).
I have varified the ear file which contains all the required class files and config files including property file.
fyi:
portalapp.xml file looks like this.

Error Located @ following code inside AFFERAAFWSServiceImpl.java, which is a proxy class generated using apache axis

protocols.txt is another config file generated along with AFFERAAFWSServiceImpl.java, which is been used @ run time.
FYI: All these files are present on ear file.

Error while calling RFC when using BSP Web Interface

Hi,
we have a problem with the Authorization when we use an Web Interface for BSP. We have assigned all roles to the user which were mentioned in the SAP standard documentation:

R_PARAM
R_PLEVEL
R_PM_NAME
R_PROFILE
R_STS_PT
R_STS_SUP
R_WEBITF
S_RS_ADMWB
S_RS_AUTH
S_RS_COMP

S_RS_ICUBE
but we still get the error message: "Error while calling RFC".
When using a user with SAP_ALL, it works.
What can we do?

Actually that's surprising - because BSP (Business Server Pages) and RFC (Remote Function Call) are not related; they use totally different transport protocols (http vs. RFC). Even if an BSP application is calling a function module remotely (acting as RFC client) no authorizations for S_RFC are required - in the calling system (but in the called system, i.e. the RFC server).
Since assigning SAP_ALL seems to "cure" the problem, it seems to be an authorization issue, indeed. In that case it makes sense to use the authorization trace (ST01 - notice: that's specific to one single ABAP application server; you might have to activate the trace on multiple instances) to find out which authorizations are checked / demanded.

If you are getting this error currently Please go to Sap market Place and Search with the Key words of Short Dump " PARAMETER_CONVERSION_ERROR".
Also you can raise this with your Basis team who should be able to help you out with the same.
