Error while connecting to DB Schema from WebLogic

1.     I have installed DB 11.2.0.1, run RCU utility to create the schema, IDP_OIF, and Weblogic 10.3.3 on windows 2008 64bit version.
Then i installed OIM 11.1.1.2 and then applied the patch 11.1.1.3. Post that, i configured Weblogic and created a new domain. After that, i run config.bat file to
configure OIM 11.1.1.3, and selected OIF and ODSM as components.
2.     Now, I started the Weblogic (IDMDOMAIN_IDP domain), and trying to create a new DataSource (Services -> DataSource), giving the schema details of IDP_OIF.
But, I am not able to connect and getting the error. i am getting the below mentioned error, while doing the test configuration.
<weblogic> <> <063a4f12da2ebf72:-383cc000:13050cfca7e:-8000-000000000000000d> <1307026410976> <BEA-240003> <Console encountered the following error java.sql.SQLException: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection

  • Error while connecting to the database from a JSP Page

    Hi,
    I am using a simple JSP page which is based on the sample JSP pages from OTN.
    When I try to connect to my database using the following code:
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    OracleDataSource ds = (OracleDataSource)ic.lookup("jdbc/OTN9iDS");
    m_connection = ds.getConnection();
    I get the following error:
    Naming exception Error while connecting to the database : javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jdbc/OTN9iDS not found in JDBCTest-JDBCTestProject-webapp
    Does anybody know wht this is happening?
    Any help would be appreciated
    FRank

    Hi Frank,
    Are you using standalone OC4J or 9iAS ? If you are using standalone OC4J then you need to add a proper data source entry in %OC4J_HOME%j2ee\home\config\data-sources.xml file.
    If you are using 9iAS the you can log in to the Enterprise Manager console and add the data source entry by using wizard provided by 9iAS.
    Ensure the case of the JNDI lookup string, since, it is case sensitive.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error while connecting to MDM server from Webdynpro

    Hi ,
       I am trying to connect to MDM server (5.5 SP04 no patches) through a webdynpro application . The following is the piece of code that I am using as a test .
    CatalogData CatalogData = new CatalogData();
        int resultLogin = 0;
        try {
              resultLogin = CatalogData.Login("USNOC01AQ05",2005,"Admin","Erico1234","English [US]");
        }catch(Exception e){
              wdContext.currentContextElement().setValueattr("Not Connected");
             //System.out.println("Error while establishing connection");
        if (resultLogin != RC.RC_OK){
              wdContext.currentContextElement().setValueattr("Not Connected");
             //System.out.println("Error logging to the SDM server");
             //System.exit(-1);
         wdContext.currentContextElement().setValueattr("Connected");
        //System.out.println("MDM server connected");
    The import statements are as follows
    import a2i.common.CatalogData;
    import a2i.generated.RC;
    I have put the following jar files in the java build path
    MDM4J
    mdm-admin
    mdm-common
    mdm-core
    mdm-data
    mdm-protocol
    When I deploy my application I get the following error
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: a2i/common/CatalogData
    It can't be determined from the exception chain, which class loader failed to load the above class. But at least the class loader of the current application does not contain a resource with name 'a2i/common/CatalogData'.
    What do you guys think is the problem ?
    Regards
    DeepaK Singh

    Hi ,
       I found a document which says that MDM4J is the legacy API and is considered deprecated .The MDM Java API is the new one .I have both of them in the java build path . I am not sure if this is that cause of the problem .
    Now I had a look at the javadoc for the new API but I am not able to locate the class to obtain a connection to the MDM server from a custom application being built in Netweaver Developer Studio . Can someone help me out with the same ?What would be the code to obtain the connection to the MDM server with the new JAVA API ?

    Server and/or port attributes are empty {HY000,NativeErr = 33}Always test ODBC client connectivity on the Oracle server to the remote and foreign database, first. Use the isql ODBC client command line interface (as the oracle or grid o/s user).
    If this does not work, then Oracle HSO will also not work.
    Once you have confirmed that this is working, then configure the HSO service for Oracle.
    If that fails, enables ODBC client tracing for that HSO service (in the init file for that service) to see exactly what ODBC calls Oracle is making and which of these are failing.

    Hi
    please ask your network admins if there is a firewall between your CR Designer installation and your SAP R/3 system.
    I assume that you have imported the necessary trsansports in your SAP R/3 system.
    Which kind of driver do you use for the connection to SAP R/3?

    Hello,
    I am trying to create a crystal report on the SAP ECC tables directly, when I try to create a new connection from u201CSAP Table, Cluster, or Functionu201D option in crystal reports 2008 I get this error" Logon Failed. Now my question is where are my rights missing, is it on BO side or SAP side, I see that I have access to SAP tables when I try to logon through the SAP logon pad it works, I could see the tables.
    Please let me know your thoughts.

    Thanks for the reply. I have checked out and we are using weblogic.jms.ConnectionFactory. And XA transaction feature is disabled at the weblogic end.
    But still the error persists.
    The following entries are in the oc4j-ra.xml file
         <connector-factory location="eis/wljms/Queue" connector-name="Jms Adapter">
              <config-property name="connectionFactoryLocation" value="Sample.QueueConnectionFactory"/>
              <config-property name="factoryProperties" value="java.naming.factory.initial=weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory;java.naming.provider.url=t3://<IP address>:7001"/>
              <config-property name="acknowledgeMode" value="CLIENT_ACKNOWLEDGE"/>
              <config-property name="isTopic" value="false"/>
              <config-property name="isTransacted" value="true"/>
              <config-property name="username" value=""/>
              <config-property name="password" value=""/>
              <connection-pooling use="none">
              </connection-pooling>
              <security-config use="none">
              </security-config>
         </connector-factory>
    Any further suggestions pls
    Thanks
    Vamsi
