Error while copying a movement type

Hi all,
I want to create an movement type alternate to 501which will only update the qty not the value.
1. For this I have copied movement type 501 through t code OMJJ.
2. While copying I changed the target movement type as "Y01".
3. Selected the option of "Copy all dependent entries"
Now i wanted to modify/delete some dependent entries to get the desired result, but unable to do so.
such as in section "Update control / WM movement types" , I want to have only 3 lines and want to delete all other lines of special stocks, but unable to do so.
Similarly with field "Account grouping", system not allowing me to delete any entries.
Please suggest.

You just need to delete two items from the customizing view, go to next step, that will be okay!

Firstly despite the plant+storage location + warehouse no. assignments are done , my replenishment delivery (delivery for stock transport order between plants under same company code) is not picking up storage location and warehouse no and thus stopping me from doing picking and PGI (post goods issue).
However in VL02N when i'm trying to change storage location for line item, i'm getting following weird error

I found a SAP Note(133223) regarding this error and VL02 transaction but that note was specific to older versions. I'm on ECC 6.0
Any suggestions please ?

Warehouse managment has its own movement types, most identical to inventory management movement types.
These WM movement types are determined via reference movement types.
the error you have just looks like your customizing is not complete.
IMG > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > define movement types.

Hi Guys,
I am currently facing some issues with respect to the deliver creation.
The scenario is somthing like this.
I have assigned a FOC Item category to an Consignment Issue order type.
The system is able to determine the Item category successfully.
However when the delivery is created it throws an error message
'Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 903/X/X/W/L/X/'
Not sure why this occurs.
All the settings seem to be set.
If any one of you can help me out it would be great.

The standard process is that consignment issue order should be created with reference to Proforma invoice. Having said that I dont understand why you have assigned a FOC item category to issue order. Not sure, whether this will work. Also I feel that you should explain in detail the process for which you are configuring this.

Error while creating new Movement Type

All SAP Gurus,
We are creating a new Z movement type by copying the 101 movement type (T code: OMJJ).
But system is not allowing to create a new movement type and giving an error message as 'Specify the key within the work area'.
We are unable to create a new movement type due to this error.
Please help...................

Error while copying a Wage Type

Dear HCM Experts,
I am facing a problem in copying a wage type for recurring payments & Deductions. System generates an error "Wage Type already exists and can't be copied". I understand that this error is due to blank wage type which needs to be deleted. Therefore I tried to delete blank wage type manually from all tables but still the problem exists. Now when I use Tcode PU30 to delete blank entry again in system, there seem an entry which shows only the end date 31.12.9999 and when I select this entry for deletion, system shows the message "no wage type selected for deletion" This end date exists in table T512w. Now Plz guide me to resolve the issue as I am in trouble and all configuration is stopped due to this error in wage type configuration.

when we are trying to do the tranfer posting (MB1B), system is throwing an error, it is "Characteristic value ZOLC( Sales document ype) does not exist for characteristic WW207 (Sales Order Type)
Message no. KE0C133".
As per as my concern In "CO" module some settings have to be done for CO-PA
Cna somebody pls tell the solution.

Cyclic Redundancy Error while copying QT movies to Windows computer

I have created a series of short instructional videos in QuickTime Pro for Mac that are used by a number of both Mac and Windows users. Occasionally a Windows user attempting to copy one of these videos from the supplied DVD media will get an error message that says "Cannot copy (file name) Date Error Cyclic Redundancy Check." The copy aborts and sometimes locks up the computer.
Is this a drive issue, a media problem or a Quicktime thing? Don't know what it is, but it sure is tough to isolate.
Any help would be appreciated!

I think it very unlikely that copying a file from a DVD to the computer would have anything to do with QuickTime, since QT isn't involved in file copies, only with playback. So it's probably either an issue with the duplication of the media or perhaps with some drives and the brand of media being used.
Are you burning disks youself, or have they been commercially pressed? If you're having the disks commercially duplicated, then you probably want to take this up with your pressing house.
If you're burning the disks yourself, you might try a different brand of media. Also, if you're using the Mac OS X Finder burn to create your disks, you might try a dedicated DVD burning utility such as Roxio's Toast; that's often more successful in burning a hybrid Mac/Windows disk.

Copy the Movement types in OMJJ

Hi,
I have copied one movement type from 303 to 403. I assigned the tcode o MB1B and MIGO.
Now I try to check in MB1B, Its no showing 403 mov type..but if I give manually, its allowing and working perfectlly..
Anywhere any setting is missing while copy the mov type in OMJJ..
Please Guide me.

I am not sure of functioning of mvt types 401-403 which donot have any updates (value wise) but only quantity wise updation is there. 403 is standard mvt type defined by SAP, I hope it is not relevant for transfer posting where quantity and value will be updated. When I tried with Tcode MB11, it is appearing where as for MIGO, MB1B/A it is not. Hope its functionality doesnt support these Tcodes.
When you copy any existing mvt type to other, use Z or X as prefix so that it will not fall under standard types.

Error In Creating New Movement Type

To upload the Consignee Stock, we have created a new Movement Type, say Z01 & Z02 copying the Movement Type 701 & 702.
We are able to upload the Stock using Z01 with correct FI Entry.
While doing the reversal, the following error is encountered:
The mvt type in the reference docmt cannot be converted
Message no. MIGO029
Diagnosis
You want to post a goods movement but the movement type that you want to use for the posting has not been maintained completely in the system.
Possible causes are:
The movement type is not permitted for this transaction.
No subsequent movement type has been defined.
You do not have authorization to post a goods movement using this movement type.
Procedure
Check your screen and field values.
If you do not have sufficient authorization, contact your system administrator.
If a movement type has not been maintained completely, the missing data must be maintained in Customizing for Inventory Management.
Make the appropriate settings in Customizing as necessary or inform your system administrator.
Pls. advise what to do?

While exploring the Mov Type 701 & 702, I came to know that 702 is not the REVERSAL of 701 as I normally assume, hence I would be wrong if we think of 702 as reversal for 701.
Also I came to know that reversal is not possible for the documents created thru Physical Inventory i.e. using Mov Type 701.
Basis the above observations, I can conclude that I am going on a wrong track.
But still I am not able to find out the solutions.
I don't to use 501, as it will generate the FI Entries which I don't want.
Hoping some quick answers from you people.
Also would like to request to stop me, if my LOGIC is wrong.

I had the same error and reported it to Oracle. They requested an XER copy and I am waiting for thier response. This problem is for that particular project only. To work around it do the following:
Create a new project, open both projects, go to wbs view, copy all wbs's from the correpted project to the new project. The new project will work fine and get rid of the correpted one.

This happens when I select an image as default in NetInstall, OS X Server 2.1.1
It happened also in version 2.1
Otherwise, NetInstall is working fine when I connect from an other mac through my network.
Every other services work fine too.
Does someone else have this issue ?

I already had this error in Portal 9.0.4.

Hi Christian!
I already opened a TAR. As (according to the Portal docs) exporting Portal applications to future versions is not supported, waiting for another Portal release would mean starting our applications from the scratch. For this reason, bugfixes in future releases are of no really use in our case, and we definitely HAVE to find a solution for this quite crucial problem.
