Error while deleting data from a write optimized DSO using a Process Chain?

Dear Bwers,
I am facing a strange error while using process chains to delete data from data target which is a write optimized DSO. The process shows as failed but the data gets deleted in the DSO. The error message is as below. Did anybody have a similar problem? Any suggestions.

try to activate InfoSource and later delete data.
Check if all ODS related objects are consistent and active.
also pls attached the whole dump for more clarity if this does not work.

Error while activating data from new table of DSO to active table

while activating data from new table of DSO to active table i am getting
error message as "Error occurred while deciding partition number".
Plz any idea hoe to resolve this one.

Hi
You are trying to update/upload the Records which are already been there in the DSO Active Data Table which has the partition.
Try to see the Record Nos already been activated and update/upload with selective, if possible.
You can trace the changes at Change log table for the same.

Error while loading data from R/3 into DSO

Hi,
While loading data from 2lis_02_s012 into a DSO the following error occured:

    Updating for the information structure is still activated in client 150
    (and possibly also in other clients).
System Response
    o   It is not possible to upload data in the initial mode.
    o   Generation of the delta update was terminated.
Procedure
    1. Switch off updating in all system clients.
    2. Repeat the relevant activity.

Hi VN,
1. Incase you do full update , system will allow you to load without any error.
2. In case you want to do init then
      Lock users
      Stop the update in the system .
      Load init Package
      Start the update
      Unlock users.
      Load delta package.

Error while loading data from DataSource to InfoCube/DSO through DTP

Hi Friends,
I am trying to load data from DataSource to InfoCube/DSO through DTP and getting the following error:
Exception in substep: Extraction completed
Processing terminated
Data package 1 / 30.04.2009 22:38:30 / Status 'Processed with Errors'
When i see the detail message it says:
Syntax error in routine "convert_to_applstru", line 25 of generated program"
I checked all my transformation and looks ok. I was able to load data earlier and i getting this error all of sudden. Does some one know what is this routine "convert_to_applstru" ?

Error while deleting data from 0BPARTNER!!!!

Hello All,
I'm trying to delete the data from 0bpartner master table.
I went into the contents of 0bpartner..selected the record i want to delete and after i delete the record i saved it, but it is not saving and i'm getting the following message.
InfoObject 0LONGITUDE (version A) is not compunded
Please suggest me if there is any other way to delete the data...

Step1
in the infoobject 0BPARTNER . go to the Business Explorer tab
Step2
Go to Geographical type and set non Geo characteristic and activate the infoobject.
Step3
Now try deleting the data for 0BPARTNER hope you will be able to delete it
why error is poping up ??
LONGITUDE and LATITUDE attributes are used. ALTITUDE, PRECISID and SRCID are reserved for future use.
If you reset the geographical type of a characteristic to Not a Geo-Characteristic, these attributes are deleted in the InfoObject maintenance.

in case if you really need those 3 object then you need to make the setting looking at this document below and ten delete the master data(its based on your requirement)

Error while loading data from write optimized ODS to cube

Hi All,
I am loading data from a write optimized ODS to cube
I have done Generate Export Datasource
schedulled the info packge with 1 selection for full load
then it gave me following error in Transfer IDOCs & TRFC
Info IDOC 1: IDOC with errors added
Info IDOC 2: IDOC with errors added
Info IDOC 3: IDOC with errors added
Info IDOC 4: IDOC with errors added
Data packege 1 arrived in BW Processing : selected number does not agree with transferred number
Processing below is green
shows update of 4 new records to Datapackage 1.
Please provide inputs for the resolution

From the source system, there are several types of messages that can be differentiated by the so-called Info-IDoc-Status. The IDoc with status 2 plays a particular role here; it describes the number of records that have been extracted in a source system and sent to BI. The number of the records received in BI is checked against this information.

"Transfer structure does not exist" while deleting data from a DSO

Hello experts,
while deleting data from a DSO I get the following messages:
@5B\QInformation@     Database table /BIC/AAKIVO1400 was deleted and recreated
@5C\QError@     Transfer structure does not exist
When I try it twice process works without any problems. I get then the following msgs:
@5B\QInformation@     InfoCube / DataStore object "AKIVO14" contains no data (yet)
@5B\QInformation@     Database table /BIC/AAKIVO1400 was deleted and recreated
So I think the first deletion works but ended with errors. What could be the reason?

Please check if data from new and chage log table is also deleted.
For the error message : Do you have 3.5 flow ? Check your transfer structure , if it is active and then again try to right click and delete data from DSO.

Record 1 :Time conversion from 0CALDAY to 0FISCPER (fiscal year ) failed with value 20070331
Wht am i suppose to do?

Hi
Simply map 0calday to 0fiscper(you already done it)..You might have forgotten to map fiscal year variant in update rules....if it comes from souce,just map it..if it won't comes from source...make it as constant in update rules and give value..
If your business is April to March make it as 'V3'
If your business is January to Decemeber make it as 'K4'..
activate your update rules delete old data and upload again....

It seems like while updating few records may be no in the format of the field in which it is updated.

It would appear that you external table definition and the external data file data do not match up. Post a few input records so someone can duplicate the problem and determine the fix.

DB Connect Load - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table"

Hi Experts,
We have our BI7 system connected to Oracle DB based third party tool. The loads are performing quite well in DEV environment.
I would like to know, how we transport DB Connect datasources to Quality systems? Any different process to be followed for DB Connect datasources?
At present the connections between BI Quality and the third party quality systems are established. We transported the DataSource from BI DEV system to BI quality system, but on trigerring an infopackage we are not able to perform loads. It prompts - "Unknow error while uploading data from the DB Table".
Also on comparing the DataSources in DEV system and Quality system there are no fields in "Proposal" tab of datasource in Quality system. Also I cannot change or activate Datasource in Quality system as we dont have change access in quality.
Please advice.

Sorry for bumping an old thread ....
Did this issue get ever get resolved?
I am facing the same one. The loads work successfully in Dev. The transport for DBConnect DS also moved in successfully.
One strange this is that DB User for dev did not automatically change to db user from quality when I transported the DBConnect datasource. DBCon DS still shows me the DB User from Dev in Quality system
I get "Unknown Error" whenever I trigger the data package.

Please check to ping the BI server IP 10.1.45.35 from your XI server , in case its working you can check telnet to SAP standard port like 3201/3601/3301/3901 etc.
It seems to be connectivity issue only.
Make sure your both the systems are up and running.
Revert back after checking above stuff.

Error while updating data from DataStore object

Hi,
Currently we are upgrading BW3.5 to BI7.0 for technical only,
we found and errors during process chain run in further processing step. This step is basically a delta loading from DSO to Cube.
The error message are:
Error while updating data from DataStore object 0GLS_INV
Message no. RSMPC146
Job terminated in source system --> Request set to red
Message no. RSM078
That's all no further errors message can be explained clearly here from system.
I have applied SAP note 1152453 and reactivate the datasource, infosource, and data target.
Still no help here!?
Please advise if you encountered these errors before.
