Error while deploying applications in ALBPM 6.0 ! Please help.
Hi,
We are testing the migration from ALBPM 5.7 to 6.0.4. We followed the steps of the upgrade guide from 5.7 to 6.0. However after migrating and deploying our existing 5.7 workflow projects using process administrator to 6.0.4 , we see the following exception in the logs. Has anyone encountered this before. Any possible suggestions on how to resolve this.

satishHi,
Check whether your workspace has any other .ear files. If yes, just delete those ear files and try creating the ear file for your application again. I had a similar problem and it got resolved by the above method.

I solved this error by myself as follows:
So, what I did was; I started the RemoteGui.bat (C:\usr\sap\J2E\JC00\SDM\program) and from the Undeployment tab, I selected mainapp01 and com.sap.engine.docs.examples.
The reason I undeployed the above applications was because when I was trying to deploy the mainapp01 application, it gave an error saying that : Cannot deploy application pcbp.com/mainapp01.. Reason: Application alias [/] for application [pcbp.com/mainapp01] already exists in the HTTP Provider Service. The application that holds this alias is [sap.com/com.sap.engine.docs.examples .
And, then I restarted the J2EE engine and from the SAP Netweaver Developer Studio, I again deployed the mainapp01 application on the local J2EE engine and it was deployed successfully.

Error while deploying application to weblogic 10.3
Hello!
I am getting below error while deploying my portal application in weblogic 10.3 server. The application code was migrated in weblogic workshop from version 8.1 SP3. I believe I might be missing some reference of library. If anyone can point out the library or any other solution it would be great!

Would suggest you to create a "*wlfullclient.jar*" by going through the below link and add it in your weblogic workshop and then try to deploy your application. Also it is always recommended that you should compile the old application again with the new JDK version your new weblogic sever is using.
Tpoic:*Creating a wlfullclient.jar for JDK 1.6 client applications*
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15051_01/wls/docs103/client/jarbuilder.html#wp1078098
Hope this would help you.

Hi,
In my .ear file, one application-client jar(which contains all helper classes which are used in whole application) file is there. While deploying .ear file, all ejb are getting deployed well, while deploying application client jar file(Global.jar file here) it is giving the following message:
IO Error deploying Global.jar: D:\oracle9ias\oc4j_extended\j2ee\home\applications\trainiumear\Global.jar
Here is application-client.xml of Global.jar file:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE application PUBLIC '-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD J2EE Application 1.2//EN' 'http://java.sun.com/j2ee/dtds/application-client_1_2.dtd'>
<application-client>
<display-name>TrainiumClientApp</display-name>
<description>Application description</description>
</application-client>
My Environment: Oracle9iAS (9.0.3.0.0), Windows-NT
Please let me know Why i am getting 'IO Error' , where i may done wrong ?
Thanks in Advance
SrinivasSrinivas,
Before we continue, PLEASE tell me if you've looked through the available
documentation, code samples, "how-to" documents, etc., for OC4J. It
seems to me that you're mixing things up a bit. I use the "deploy"
command to deploy my EARs, example (partial):
java -jar admin.jar ormi://<host> admin <password> -deploy ...
And my EAR file is not in the "application-deployments" directory
when I issue that command.
Perhaps you could also show me the contents of your "application.xml"
file for this application you are having trouble with.
But I repeat, please tell me if you have already looked at the
available documents regarding OC4J!
Thanks,
Avi. -

Edited by: user12537931 on Jan 31, 2010 4:09 AMHi,
How are you trying to deploy your application on the Server...Using Admin Console...or Using any Script Like WLDeployer?
The issue seems to be related to Http protocol in port 80.
Are you sure that in your Production environment there is not firewall blocking issue...on port 80...?
Some firewall settings rejects any existing connection to be opened for a long time....If your application takes some time, then please check that the firewall doesn't disconnect the existing connection until the deployment time gets over.
<font color=red>Note: </font>Sometimes this kind of issue happens when we try to deploy our application on WebLogic Server...at that time based on the XSD informations available in our DeploymentDescriptors...the Server tries to download those DTDs from the mentioned URIs....
Example:
web.xml has some entries like:
<!DOCTYPE web-app
PUBLIC "-//Sun Microsystems, Inc.//DTD Web Application 2.3//EN"
In above case if the Firewall of our production environment Blocks any request to pass through Port 80 (default Http Port) then we get such exceptions.

Getting Error while deploying application in Planning Workforce
Hi,
While deploying a sample planning application through BPMA i am getting this error.
The error message is saying “You must select the Valid for Wrkforce application property before redeploying the Application View”.
Any ideas about what might be going wrong?
Moreover, I am having this concept that this is only a “general planning” application view. This application view is not meant to be enabled with Workforce.
Please share your knowledge about this and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
UdayCheck all the dimensions to see if any one of them is enabled for WF. Also, please paste the exact error message that you receive. Have you deployed this app before?

GowrishankarI developed my simple calculator app under NWDS, exported it as an EAR file, transferred the file from my laptop to my Unix Java host and deployed it using SDM.
When I build an iView I can't find it. It doesn't appear as an iView template (unlike a PAR file I deployed earlier) and if I follow the help in the link from the previous post then I get application exceptions indicating that the portal component is not valid. (I still have to trawl the log for details of the full error text.)
I don't understand the process behind the deployment. I know that the EAR file is a compressed archive of components required to run the application but what does the deployment process do with this? Where are the components stored? How does the portal's iView builder decide that it's looking in the right or wrong place? How does the portal (how do I) know what sort of iView to build and what object type to include? -

Log4j Error while deploying application in weblogic
Hi All,
I am deploying one web application in weblogic, which uses log4j jar file to write logs. But ahile deploying it shows the following error in weblogic console.
Please help on this.
log4j:ERROR A "org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender" object is not assignable to a "org.apache.log4j.Appender" variable.
log4j:ERROR The class "org.apache.log4j.Appender" was loaded by
log4j:ERROR [sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader@169e11] whereas object of type
log4j:ERROR "org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender" was loaded by [weblogic.utils.classloaders.ChangeAwareClassLoader@169baee finder: weblogic.utils.classloaders.CodeGenClassFinder@44c4a4 annotation: Server@Server].
log4j:ERROR Could not instantiate appender named "log".
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (com.servion.citigreece.util.LoggerUtil).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
Thanks & Regards,
Raja Mohammed.Seems like a classic case of having log4j both in the war and the app-server's own libraries.
At least in JBoss this would be fixed by making sure that common/lib's log4j jar is being used (or alternatively, removing that and using the one in the war, but that might not go as smooth). -

I can not see this application in the console and cannot even install it again.
Please help me with this error, I am going crazy resloving this.

Swapna. So see reply one... go hunting for the applications

thingummy and just blow 'em away.
Worste come to worste blow the whole app server away
and reinstall it.There are also a couple of directories called temp\ and wstemp\ that you might need to clear out within your server's directory. Sometimes they get gummed up and you have to clear them out manually. -
