while entering the time card,I am getting the error in APPS.PA_OTC_API api.
oracle.apps.fnd.framework.OAException: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20020: Pa_Otc_Api ::: ->Validate_Otc_Data->Validate_Process :: Check for quantity being negative. : ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: NULL index table key value
ORA-01403: no data found

Hi
Please clarify where are you entering the time card.
Is it on a form of Preapproved expenditures? Are you using OTL, or any other time application?
Are you are trying to load transactions thru the PA interface?

to Lilybiri: I use the Timer widget included with Captivate 6, Version 6.0.1.240. That's why it doesn't show the time. Could you please tell me if it is possible to display the current/left video duration time? If so, how we can do that?
to Vishhere: Yes, this is happening when I insert interactions or widgets from the Insert Menu. I reset the default preferences as you suggested. Unfortunately, it didn't help.
When I go for inserting any interactive element or a widget from Insert/ Widget/Interactions the application is closed and an error message appears like the screenshot given here:

While creating the shopping cart and posting the invoice we are facing the error message like "E BBP_PD 047 Venture 199330 is not active".
This error is happening in production system but it's not giving any error in quality system. Quality system is working fine.

It is custom error message. however what is venture 199330 - is it account data in your shopping card. check it up if what is venture ? hope that it is some thing on finacial term like fund center, cost centre. check it up with your business team.

Error While Entering the Data: Code and Name

Hi Experts,
I have defined the Two User Defined tables and SBO created Two User Defined Forms.
i am able added the Data in One of the Form with the same value in Code columns for multiple rows and different value in Name columns for multiple rows.
but when i am trying to do the same thing second form, i am getting the following Error.
"This entry already exists in the following tables '' (@ABC) (ODBC -2035) [Message 131-183]"

While defining costing sheet in the system,i need to give the overhead percentage as 0.3692 as per the client requirement.but the system is giving the below error.

The entry must comply with the edit format. The following edit format characters have a special meaning:
"_" (underscore)

"," (thousands separator) (applies to numeric fields)
This separator occurs (optionally) for more than three figures. Depending on the setting in the user master record, it can be a period or a comma.
"V" (applies to numeric fields)
The operational sign appears here. If used, it must by at the right margin of the field. The sign is either "-" or " "(space).
"~" (tilde) (applies to numeric fields)
As of and including this character, leading zeros must also be entered. Otherwise, this character has the same meaning as an underscore. Leading zeros need not be entered on the left of the tilde. They are not output at this position.
All other characters have their normal meanings and must be entered in the same position as in the edit format.

this error is related to Decimal Format pls check your setting in country
For 4.7C
SPRO > IMG > General Setting > Define countries in mySAPsystem
For ECC 6.0
SPRO > IMG > SAP Netweaver > General Setting > Define countries in mySAPsystem
select your countries and double click in that there is last field for Decimal Pt. format check that format and try to enter value according to that format because in error it showing 4 decimal and there you may have maintained in two decimal. also check decimal currecy setting. One more reason could be there instead of full stop you may have maintained comma in setting.

Error while entering the Final Process Date for an employee

Hi,
I am receiving the below mentioned Error Message when I try to enterthe Final Process date and save for an employee on the End Employment screen.
HR_51746_ASG_INV_ASG_ID (PROCEDURE=pay_us_tax_internal.maintain_tax_percentage)
Please let me know if anyone has an idea on the cause for this error message and how to fix this.

What is the termination date on this employee and what Final process date are you using? Are there any payrolls that ran after his/her Term date. Because even though this employee has been terminated a while ago, if there are any payrolls run after that (even if this employee is skipped), the system still includes this emp in that run and doesn't allow you to enter a Final process date prior to that pay date
Either try to use a final process date which is in the next pay period after the latest payroll run or try running deltax.sql (removes tax records) on that assignment and see if that works

Error while entering the Fiscal Year/Period Variable

I keep getting the following error message when I try to input or select the Variable on the report that has been executed on the Portal. Everything is fine when done through Bex.
 Please enter value in permitted format for variable Fiscal Year/Period (Selection Options, Optional).
Entry needs template ___/____
For characteristic , enter value in a permitted format
Would anybody have any clue as to why?? It does have the Fiscal year Variant.

This is fxed in BI JAVA SPS 12 Patch 2. Not sure whether there is any OSS notes for earlier SPS.

OTL Rule firing when deleting the time card

Hi Friends,
I have created an OTL Time entry rule and this works fine while entering the time entry. But when I try to delete the complete time card the application fires the same time entry rule.
Can someone help me as to why this error comes up when I try to delete the time card. Without the time entry rule I am able to delete(end-date) the time card successfully.

You might have selected the value Submission / Resubmission / Delete to when you created the Time Entry Rule. Select only Submission / Resubmission.

CATS - error in workflow while releasing the time entry record

Dear Experts,
I have setup the configuration for CATS with approval along with workflow. I have maintained the Entry profile and also the Approval steps.
After entering the time sheet and while releasing the record, system is prompting to enter the user id, I have entered the user id and click OK button, system is producing the following error message:
An error occurred on starting the workflow
Message no. LR365
Diagnosis
For technical reasons, the system cannot start the SAP Business Workflow.
Procedure
Contact your system administrator.
I have activated the work flow customization using Trnx SWU3.
Can some one please help me out in solving this problem.

I got the solution, we have to maintain the task TS31000004 as general task in the transaction PFTC - 31000004 -> Additional Data -> Agent Assignment -> Maintain, in the next screen GOTO -> Attributes (F8), then Change the task type to General task.
Also we have to create variant by name WORKFLOW for the program RCATSB01.
The above has solved my problem.

The Yosemite upgrade very often damages existing Photoshop installations. Thank Apple for that.

Error while running the Report

I am trying to run the Report in Bex Analyzer. and once I enter the value for the variable, it gives me message that "Element is not correctly define (please check query)" and when i click on the error it gives me detail message as below :

Additional elements that do not have the same dimension, such as quantities and amounts or amounts and ratios, are added to element Sales Qty Gallons .
Procedure
Check your definition.
If you still want to use this addition, you can suppress the dimensionality of one or both subexpressions by using the 'NODIM' operator. The system then interprets this or these subexpressions as nondimensional numbers.
In the executed query, you can use the Key Figure Definition function to analyze element Sales Qty Gallons .
Now the thing is I am already using "NODIM" operator to add those elements. and I m not sure why this error is coming up now because I have created this query a while ago and it wasnt giving me any error at that time but now I have make some changes into it and it;s giving me this error while running the Report. But the thing is I didnt change anything in the element for which it;s showing me error.

There are two or more key figures in your report. They are defined by different dimensions and somewhere you have a formula with both these key figure.
Edit your query and select the Check Query icon. It will tell you which calculation you have the problem with. Edit this calculation to see which key figures are present.
If the formula is logically correct, best thing to do is to put a NODIM( ) on your key figures that make up the formula, and then change you formula to look at the NODIM( ) version.
That will fix things for you,

Getting javascript error while selecting the Recipients in OBIEE delivers.

Hi All,
I am working on OBIEE from quite a long time, but recently I came across a error while selecting the Recipients in Recipients list of OBIEE delivers.
Making it more comprehensive, when I try to create an ibot , after entering all necessary information when I select Recipients in Recipients list and click on ok. I get a JavaScript error "null" is null or an object. The surprising thing is when i select cancel it works as ok.
Any help will be highly appreciated

I think you dont have a field named /BIC/XXXXXX in the table from which you are trying to fetch the data. Chech the spelling of the field name and table name.
