Error While generating Control Reciepe

Hi,
I am mapping MTS scenario for PI industry and i stuck up with an error while creating Control recipe system gives following erroe msg, No values assigned to char. 0010 PPPI_INSTRUCTION in process instruction 9999 phase 0020. Msg number is CB210.
Please Help me in this regards,

Hi,
Check the PI instructuction category and charactersitics assigned to Phase 20.
If the value assignment is automatic check the function modules manually whether it is working fine.If the value assignment is manual then enter the required value. for the characteristics PPPI_instruction. Also check whether that is a required value.
If it is si remove the reuired value tick and check.

Error while generating the Document... Bursting Status Report

Hey all,
I am getting some errors in a production environment when trying to burst out some invoice data.
This process has been pretty robust and out of 1000+ invoices a day, I can only find 4 that are failing regularily.
Why am I mentioning?, just to show that I am thinking this is a data issue, but just cannot see anything that stands out.
I can take the xml output and run it through my development suite on my local machine and all runs fine.
Just when it is running live through the db is when it fails.
Here is the Bursting output that shows the error....

The problem is that this output doesn't necessarily help, nor can I find any hints in the OPP logs.
So... the question becomes...
Any ideas on where I can look to resolve this issue?+
Or where I can find any clues at, that would possible point at the issue?+

Tim,
Thanks for the suggestion, always seems to slip my mind that the Bursting Report has debug on it.
As far as what is generating the XML, it is oracle's standard, only slightly modified ... ;), invoice generating report, RAXINV_SEL.
Well RAXINV_SEL, or RAXINV_NEW, doesn't matter, same code, that is the executable.
I have turned on the debug, for both the source xml and the burst request, and unfortunately, still nothing stands out to me.
I was really expecting to see something in the burst log, pasted at the bottom...
but, it yet avoids me.
If I had to guess, I would bet the user went, in our terminology, "slashwit crazy", or example "model /w options", in some description.
But can't seem to find which field it is blowing up on, since we are catching these special characters in several places already, and slashwit is littered throughout the output.
I was also looking in the bursting control file for the special xml tags identified there, as those would require no slashes. But those are all clean.

Bursting Program in error 'error while generating the document'

Hi All,
We have a requirement to place EXCEL output generated through BI XML report, in EBS path. ex: /usr/tmp
Parent Concurrent program is generating output file and program got completed normal and Bursting program got submitted.
But, Bursting program completing in error, saying 'Error While Generating Document'
Other programs which use Bursting are working normal and they are using same path (/usr/tmp)
Anyone faced similar issue ? Any sample bursting control file that sends .xls file will also be helpful.
Below is the bursting file that we created:

You should use:

You need to check that there should rtf file present with the same name as you mentioned in above code. Also verify the port number.

How many cost centres are you putting in the role? Do you have cost centre set as an org level?
From your User Name I assume that you are at the BBC...Do you still use a program to populate the cost centres in the role based on the cost centre group names? If so it is possible that you are trying to put too many cost centres in the field and the the profile will not generate because of this (we had it back in 2001 when I was working there).
Do you have the technical error message details?

I have applied the consolidated JRI fixes - patch 17191279 .
Then, when generating Jar, received keypass is tampered error.
re-generated the key using $ adjkey -initialize.

When we execute Query in the Portal there is a 'Print version' button.
When you select it, it opens up print dialog and click OK
It is supposed to send 'pdf' stream to Web browser client on end user but it is not able to generate the pdf .

The same is running fine in the Q Environment .But in Production we are getting this error .

I think this is an ADS error. This is a reason why pdf's are not working. We had the same issue.

I have a design studio application I want to share publicly on BI Launch Pad for my company. The dashboard/application made in design studio works fine locally and on BI Platform public folder (through my login credentials).
However, when other people from the company try to view this DS application, it throws "Error while generating HTML"
The root cause is:
The initial exception which caused the request to fail was:
Index: 0, Size: 0
Any clue why such a thing might be happening?

What version of BI4x/patch?
Looks like this error has been shown before on older versions of the BI Platform - see Error HTML in Mobile BI App, not in local (version 1.4)

Error while generating Data provider

We are facing a weird issue while using Design Studio 1.2. Locally the tool works fine but when we use it from BI-Launchpad or through BI Enterprise it gives intermittent error "Error while generating Data Provider"
Same setup works fine in our Validation Environment.
We have tried running repair for Design Studio, redeploy the war files, creating new view but issue still exist.
We have BI 4.0 SP7 installed on Windows 2008 R2 system.
4 CMS running in cluster, Design Studio 1.2 is installed on 3 Nodes out of 4.
For now we are using 1 tomcat to access the system to narrow down the issue.
Experts please help us to resolve this issue.

I am not clear what your data source is, but I recommend checking the PAM https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001013822013E because there are some limitations with Design Studio and BI4.0
