Error while GP Transport: IllFormattedSduFileException

Hi Experts,
I am facing error while transporting GP content.
For transport, i have followed this link:

I have created .sda file as mentioned.
When trying to deploy it on SDM, getting following error:
Error: com.sap.sdm.util.sduread.IllFormattedSduFileException: The information about the software component found in the manifest is either missing or incomplete!
Manifest attributes are missing or have badly formatted value:
the name defined in the component element does notfit to the name attribute
the counter defined in the component element doesnot fit to the counter attribute
(/usr/sap/FPT/JC04/SDM/program/temp/transport1235963731201.sda)

Hi,
Check SAP Note 1111316. There is an attached tool in the note that fixes the corrupted manifest file. This is fixed in:
SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (formerly named 2004s), Software Component SAP-EU, SP 15
SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1, Software Component GP-CORE, SP 05

and trying to import.
During import we get

Please help me with the problem.

Did you see that you tried to transport to an older release!! You should have expected such a result.
Before doing such a thing, you should have looked at SAP notes to see SAP recommendations, if any. And you're lucky, there are ones: [Note 1090842 - Composite note: Transport across several releases|http://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1090842]. You need to know that ECC6 corresponds to SAP Basis 7.0, and ECC5 corresponds to SAP Basis 6.40.

File Permission Issue.

Error while importting Transport Request

Hi,
I am getting following errors while Transporting requests from Development to Test System
Error getting fields for PSA /BIC/B0000643
Error occurred during post-handling RS_AFTER_IMPORT ofr DTPA L
The Transport request just contains one Transformation the corresponding DTP.
We are using BI 7 for Bank Analyzer and have just imported SP11. This problem has started coming only after the import of SP11.

Yes the DS were active. I tried to re-transport that too but the TR failed with similar error.
Finally I tried to manually activate the DTP in the Target system and got the same error. I rectified the problem by deleting the DTP from the Target system. But I am not sure why this happened. Please let me know if you have any idea abt the same.

Error while exporting/transporting the Business system from Dev to Quality

Hi,
We are getting the following error whil exporting/trsnporting the Business system from development(SLD) env to quality(SLD) environment. The error is
404 Not Found
The requested resource does not exist.
Details: Go to main page of this application!
We have followed the following procedure to export :
1. opened the business system.
2. Clicked on export option
3. tried to download
then we got the above error message.
Please provide your precious inputs to resove our problem.

Error while releasing Transport which Contain Bussiness object type

I created the method in ZBUS100106 and released it and generate it ,then in the program I wrote some code,functionality works fine ,Now while moving transport to Quality Syestem it shows up with the error
*ZBUS100106 is inactive* , I released it and generate it one more time but did'nt help
My transport has
    Workflow templates
        90000004
    Program
        ZBUS100106
    Business object types
        ZBUS100106
    Table Contents
        SWOTICE
only problem with the program it shows inactive,I ran Se80 and it shows some Subrutine inactive I activate it by clicking right and select Activate but none of the perform activate .

Error while executing transport in HANA's application life-cycle management

we're currently developing our HANA-based software and would like to use HANA's application life-cycle management: transporting our product from one system to another. Everything seems to be set up correctly: two different systems, correct privileges, a product comprising delivery units comprising packages as well as a transport route between the systems. However, the transport always fails with the following error (example for a transport of a single DU):

Hi everyone,
I am sorry I bothered you with this error. It was caused by me since I forgot to export a top-level file. This file must have defined a variable errText which other DUs depended on and could therefore not be activated.
Now, the transport works perfectly well and I'm really happy with it.

Hi! SAP Gurus,
I am trying to transport XI Integration Design and Configuration Objects from X42 (DEV) to X44 (Quality).
I want to transport Transport ID Design:5909a730a2fe11dcc8dd001125e7370c
Configuration: 1c3d0c90a30111dcb2c0001125e7370c
I was succefully transported the Design object but while I am transporting the Configuratio Object at First I am moving from X42- CMS and then from CMS-X44.
ERROR 1 :: But once I am Exporting I am getting an acknowledgement message and finally it was moving to CMS. But there in Consolidation TAB it was coming IMPORT FAILED.
But when I tried 6-7 times I sended it successfully and there that objects first went (sits) directly in Change lists of quality server ID Part. From change lists I am transferring to Scenarios by Right clickTransport.
ERROR 2: According to CMS some parameters will be lost in communication channels and in some other objects. while transporting using CMS.
How to recollect that parameters again ?
Will you please confirm simply copying the parameters from Development server and again editing or Is there any other method?
ERROR 3:. While I am activating any object in Configuration object I am getting the error

Unable to move object. Change lists were not part of the same import

While transporting in CRM2007 system, weu2019re getting errors of type u201CThe installed version does not matchu201D and another for u201CCRMUIFu201D stating that u201CThe software component is not installedu201D.

Error while releasing Transport request number

Hi Friends,
Whenever i release the Transport request from SE01 i am getting the following error. Please view the attached image . Could you please explain about that error ? and how can i prevent it in future ?

At starting it shows warning like " Your object contains error continue or cancel " but if i proceed with continue after completion of the releasing process it shows (0) successfully completed but not with an error message. As Krishna Chaitanya said i might have used any dependent object. by reading all of your answer i could understand that this is not sever problem. But i would like to understand this process very clearly . All i want to know is
how to release the request without any inconsistencies?
and which is the best way, ?
is there any requisition before i initiate releasing ?

Error while releasing transport request - Special character "_" in generic

Hi all,
we're receiving the error Special character "_" in generic key when releasing a best practice transport.
Note 1304725 describes my error, but the solution cannot be implemented. The reason for this is that we do not have an individual entry for eacht yb_PS,..,
but we have only one entry where field BWERT has a wildcard '*' as entry.
Does anyone has some idea how to solve this ?

I'm having nearly the same issue:
A custom-table with a total key lenght of about 365 characters. As soon as I enter a special character (_) in the key field just before the position 120, the message tk287 rejects the entry. Entering the special character in a key field at about key position
60, there's no message rejecting the entry.

When i tried to release the transport request, it returning with code = 8 (error) so transport has not done. When I digged into the transport request, error message is

This is more related to the BASIS side,
still have found one solution in one of the thread. Still contact you BASIS administrator for it.
Solution.
Is the error pointing at TP or R3trans?
In this phase, we get error coz of r3trans.
Please try following the note 206168. which tells you to change the r3trans.
If you have changed the r3trans earlier, then try using the same r3trans as provided in the kernel CD.

Error while creating Transport role

Hi,
I have created a new transport role - " Transport manager" but unfortunately the import function of that doens,t work. It gives Error: "Unexpected Error. See System log for more details...."
In the NWA i see: ' ( ' com.sapportals.portal.transport.ui.ImportComponent ')' ImportComponent.doOnUpdatePreviewPage(): unexpected error; action=onBrowse.
The same role assigned to user with content admin and system admin rights works fine.
Any ideas?

You told system admins and content admins can able to see that role . So,please check end user permission of that role and assign it to relevant groups or everyone if you want to allo all users to see.

Whilst if this role is given to the transport manager wherein he has just this Transport manager role. ...only with import function -> server option selected ->clicking on search gives an error.....
This transport manager role is created by making a copy of System Admin workset and assigning only the Transport related activities.

CTS+ : Error while importing transport into Portal QA system

Hi All,
we have configured CTS+ for Portal systesms, then we have created a
test transport in Portal Development system (PD5). SOlution manager is the communication systesm. We are also able to release this transport from transport organizer web UI.
This tranpsort is available in transport queue of Portal Qua system , but on importing this transport in PQ7 we are getting following
error
Problem during file access, stopping. Error is:'The file (/usr/sap/trans_SM/data/PD5K900003/Test_CTS_20110215_031956.epa) does
not exist on the filesystem.'.
We have checked in /usr/sap/trans_SM/data/PD5K900003/ file
Test_CTS_20110215_031956.epa exist.
CTSDEPLOY and sap.com/com.sap.tc.di.CTSserver connection are working fine.
Kindly suggest.
