Error while installing 10g on solaris 10

i am getting error while i am installing oracle 10g (10.2.0.1) on sunos 5.10
the error is
unable to find product oracle.swd.jre[1.4.1] in oracle invetory.

I got the following error while installing oracle database 10g on oracle unbreakable linux
when my installer peforming product specific prerequiste check i got the warning
checking operating system requrement
checking for gcc-3.2; found not found Failed<<<<<<
I tried to search gcc-3.2 on my linux cd but its not there
can anyone please tell me from where can i install this?

Which gcc is in your CD? List them all.
And yes, they are there. Unless someone gave you a rescue disk or stripped down live CD, in which case you need to thank the person who gave you that appropriately.
You need to search the CD/DVD and you need to learn how to install RPMs. Both can be learned by intelligent internet searches.

i followed the link and all the instructions things seemed to go well: it still asked for two files i did not have or could not locate: first its asked for generalstub, then it asked for seedstup and then generalstup again. at this point the installation was at 67% and had passed the link succesful stage and was at the setup succeful stage. when i clicked ignore on generalstub, seedstup and then generalstup again it quicly moved to 100% and never took me to the stage for me to run oraInstroot.sh and allroot.sh
the configuration assistant stage never cameup and it skipped to the page Specify Repository Database Configuration
where it asked for repository database hostname port, service/sid and SYSMAN password and also manament service security password. whe i input all the infor mation it will give errors. i have tries deleting all oracle 3 or 4 times and all files that oracle has and repeated the process and am always stuck here.

I am using aix 5.2.0.0 with ML-04(#oslevel -r 5200-04). When I try to download missing patches at IBM site I am getting the msg you are already having this.

Is it Oracle AS 10g(9.0.4)?
Is it RedHat AS 2.1?
If your answer is yes for both the above, please make sure that the installer OS prereq checks are passing.

When I am executing the installlation script by #sh Solaris_Management_Console.shar then

It was a trivial issue. The cfgenv.sh file was not executed properly and that was causing all the issues. Thanks for your reply. Issue has been resolved on this server.
But on another server I am getting a different error while trying to configure the gateway server. Please if anybody has faced this issue before kindly provide the solution.

I am trying to install Oracle 10g r2 10.2.0.1 on RHEL 4 on VM Ware. While running Installer I am facing the following error. Any help would be appreciate.

As the error suggests , you should have a static IP for your machine.
Database will work properly but you might have issues with OEM and accessing it from outside.

Error While installing 10g

Initially, in my system, i installed oracle 9i and uninstalled .
Now when i try to install oracle 10i , system throwing error like this 'Error Reading setup Initialization file'
I do not know How to handle this error. Please guide me how to overcome this error. Thanks for your reply.

I am assuming that you are using Windows, I am also assuming that you have no other Oracle products installed on your machine.
After uninstalling 9i with the Universal Installer, you will have to do a little bit of additional cleanup. Open your registry and navigate to /HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE. Delete the ORACLE key. Open your System Properties, edit your PATH and remove all paths to your 9i installation (if any exist). Finally, delete the directory where you installed your 9i software. If you get an error when trying to delete the 9i installation directory, reboot your machine to remove the "residual" PATH references. Then you should be able to delete the 9i installation directory.
Be careful when deleting anything from your machine. Make sure you understand what you are doing before you do it. It would be a bad thing if you accidentally delete the wrong thing.

Error while installing oracle 10.2.0.3 in the laptop, which has already 9i

i have an error while installing 10g in laptop which has already have 9i on it.
10g version was 10.2.0.3, i know it will not support in xp, but in other system which has xp it was working fine.
System details,
1GB Ram,Win XP Laptop.
Oracle 9i already installed.
when i clicked on 10.2.0.3 setup.exe i get OUI.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close.
that same oracle setup file is working fine in other win xp system, but in this laptop system it is not starting itself, beginning only i will give error as mentioned above.
software is present in c:\a\b\c\d\e folder, i shared only e folder and in other system i opened that file it is successfully opening. i don't know why it is not opening in this laptop.what may be the problem. what i should do to resolve this issue.

thanks for replying, actually that software has included with demantra product, that same 10.2.0.3 will work in other systems which as XP, i like to tell 1 thing,
that software is present inside many folders like c:\a...\b....\c....\d....\e.... in this folder the software is present, is this could be the issue.
i shared only e.... folder and from other system when i click on setup.exe the OUI will open only in this laptop it is not opening.
please suggest me

Error while installing Oracle 10g on Fedora Core 1

Error while installing Oracle 10g on Fedora Core 1. After 40% of the Installation is thru, the progress bar is showing 40%, it gives error "Not connected to Oracle" and the installation has to be terminated.
We have tried by using the on-line procedure and changing the required script to make believe it as said.

i am getting following error while installing weblogic server10.3.1 on Solaris 10.
+Installation fails with Fatal error encoutered during self-extraction. Click Yes to exit, No to continue as a Net installation.[No space left on device] message.+
I tried redirecting it to new local temp folder but it didn't helped.

Error while installing Solaris 10 using Solaris CD

I'm getting an error while installing Solaris 10 in an Ultra 10 box.
I have Solaris CDs (Total 4) and I have installed Solaris 10 in a Ultra 250 box , I did not get any problem. That means CDs are fine.
But when I try to boot the CD 1 from bootPROM mode by giving the following command
ok boot cdrom
I get the following error :
rebooting with CD command boot cdrom
boot device : /pci@1f, 0/pci@1 , 1/idi@3/cdrom@2 ,0:f file and args
Cant read disk label
Cant open disk label package
evaluating : boot cdrom
Cant open boot device
Then the box boots up with Solaris 8 which it has now..
Can anyone please help me to solve this issue ?
