Je vais avoir besoin d'un petit coup de main.//I need help.
J'ai installé le grid control 10.2.0.1 sur une machine XP 32bits x86 et j'ai un pb pour démarrer mon serveur http.

Its too early to conclude the issue is a bug with out looking into the logs. For the same reason i requested you to open an SR so that we can have a look at the logs and identify the cause. If you are Oracle employee then you can share the VM details else we need logs to debug this further. If any one from your company can open an sr and share logs then that will be helpful. Can you also check if the shiphome that you downloaded is all correct and checksum/byte matches to what is mentioned on OTN.

OMS error during install Grid control 10gR2 on Windows 2003

He,
I get this error during install Grid control 10gR2 on a new server win2003.
"oracle.sysman.emcp.agent.AgentPlugIn"
What I see in forums is that I have to stop my listener and continue my installation.
But I still have the same error !!
Can you please help?

The solution stated is "Check the contents of the hosts of file and ensure that every entry is correct. All hostname / ip addresses have to be valid."
When installing AS 9i R2 there was an issue with the names, those were supposed not to hava a hypen, so may be something was inherited from those kernels.

Error while installation Grid Control 11g

Hi all expert,
I want to install OEM Grid Control 11g for studying purpose depending on link [http://oracle-base.com/articles/11g/GridControl11gR1InstallationOnOEL5.php|http://oracle-base.com/articles/11g/GridControl11gR1InstallationOnOEL5.php] . But I can not apply "WDJ7" patch because I don't have Metalink account. So I go to the next step to install Grid Control 11g. Everything is successful until Configuration assistant "Repository Configuration" operation. I am installing EMGridControl 11g in a linux machine. In the installation procedure it fails at Repository Configuration. The error thrown is:

ORA-01017 Error when installing Grid Control 10.2.0.3

Hello all,
I have the following problem: I am installing the Grid Control on a Linux machine and when I get to the "Specify Repository Database Configuration" step and enter the SYS password I get an ORA-01017 error. I still can connect under SQLPLUS with the same pwd as SYSDBA.
Any clue how to get ride of this will be very appreciated.

Yes this is what I do, but still receive "Insufficient privileges to write to that location". So I am forced to use normal file system to be able to continue.

Errors while installing runtime engine netframework 4 (32bit)

While installing the update for runtime engine netframework 4 we get diffrent errors. We can't register DLL files.
This is the error we get:
Error 1904. Module C;\Program Files\ SAP BusinessObjects\Crystal Reports for .NET Framework4.0\Common\SAP BussinesObject Enterprise XI 4.0\win32_x86\commonjob.dll Failed to register. HRESULT -2147023898. Contact your Support personal.
same error for:
saxserialize.dll, datadefmodel.dll, cubedefmodel.dll, rptdefmodel.dll, rptcontrollers.dll, requestmodel.dll, clientdoc.dll,
prompt.dll, dtsagent.dll, localcon.dll, crlov.dll, crqe.dll.
Installation ends with installation succesfully. When ignored is pressed.
Hope someone can help to fix these errors. Its not working properly now.

This is the way I resolved a similar issue this week:
In the registry, search for 139E8906DC83 Search HKLM\Software\SAP BusinessObjects. This will lead you to the actual file name.
Download [Process Monitor|http://technet.microsoft.com/en-ca/sysinternals/bb896645.aspx]. Se the filter for regsvr32.exe.
Manually (Start | Run regsvr32 <path to the file>) register the dll.
Save the process Monitor log.
Do a search in ProcMon for cryptocme2.dll. Rename this dll.
Try the install again.

Error while installing OEM Grid Control

I am getting error while installing OEM Grid control (with existing database) at OMS Configuration. So, I cancelled the installation and deleted all databases and started the instal again. I am still getting an error at OMS configuration.
I am trying to read through the threads here to see if anyone has solved it. I see a lot of threads on this topic but not sure how you guys resolved it.
Can anyone help here.
In the oracle installer, I see the message : The c:\oraclehomes\agent10g\cfgtoollogs\configToolfailedCommands" script contains all commans that failed, were skipped or cancelled ....
--in this file, all I see is:

i followed the link and all the instructions things seemed to go well: it still asked for two files i did not have or could not locate: first its asked for generalstub, then it asked for seedstup and then generalstup again. at this point the installation was at 67% and had passed the link succesful stage and was at the setup succeful stage. when i clicked ignore on generalstub, seedstup and then generalstup again it quicly moved to 100% and never took me to the stage for me to run oraInstroot.sh and allroot.sh
the configuration assistant stage never cameup and it skipped to the page Specify Repository Database Configuration
where it asked for repository database hostname port, service/sid and SYSMAN password and also manament service security password. whe i input all the infor mation it will give errors. i have tries deleting all oracle 3 or 4 times and all files that oracle has and repeated the process and am always stuck here.
error reads :

Error while installing Oracle grid/Database vault in win XP service pack3

Hi,
I am trying to install oracle database grid 10.2.0.2 in win xp service pack 3. It's giving the below error.
"Could not find the main class. Program will exit"
When I am installing Database grid 10.1.0.3 it's getting installed.
I also have java 1.5 installed in my system.
I am getting the same error while installing Database vault.
Where ever it's asking for the below JRE_LOCATION in "oraparam.ini" file I am getting the error.

Error installing Grid Control 11g

Hi. I'm trying to install Grid Control 11g without success.
I'm using SuSe Enterprise 10 sp3, already installed weblogic 10.3.2 and created a database instance for repository without problems.
The installation process fails when reaches the 'OMS configuration' step. Here's the last part of the omsca log file (log says to check the 'omsca_20110209122055.log' file for more info, but it points to itself):

Error while Installing Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server

I downloaded "Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise/Standard/Personal Edition for Windows NT/2000/XP" and installed the personal edition. It did not install successfully and gave this error message:

The installation of Oracle 9i Database was unsuccessful
The Integration tools and client installed just fine from the same download. Why didn't the database install successfully? All the other components seemed to install just fine and the database appeared to be created - but I could not open it and there was not start menu option for DBA Studio.
I am running Windows 2000 professional with Service Pack 3 on a 2 GHz Pentium4 machine with 512MB Rambus RAM, 32bit color graphics ATI All-in-Wonder card, about 40GB of disk space, a local peer-to-peer network via cat5 cable to another Win2k P3 machine, and Creative Soundblaster Audigy card. Do I need to adjust any network settings? Would it help or hinder if I installed MS IIS? WinNT has a Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) but Win2k has COM+ instead; does that make a difference in terms of the installer looking for MTS? Do I need to configure COM+ in some special way / change settings?

I am doing the following.
1. I am installing Oracle 10.2.01 Database(Not Client) on my windows Xp laptop. While installation i Choose the custom option and Check the Oracle Windows Interface. In that i check the "Install Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction server" checkbox. The installation goes on fine till 99% and when it tries to install the
Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction server it gives an error saying that "Microsoft Transaction server" was not found on the system.
I had previously installed the same on my laptop and it was working fine. but after uninstallation when i try to re install i get this problem.
If i go to the services.msc option in windows i still see the OracleMTSRecoveryService option even when i have uninstalled oracle. But when i try to start the services i get the following error
Could Not start the OracleMTSRecoveryService on the local computer.
Error 3: The system cannot find the file specified.
Any help on how to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated
