Error while installing Migration Tool kit for SAP BPC7.0

Hi all,
We are implementing SAP Business Planning and Consolidation Migration Process to BPC 7.0.
We are trying to installin Migration Tool Kit. In this kit we are having two set up files - one for BPCMigrationClient and another for BPCMigrationServer.
When i am trying to install the BPCMigrationServer set up file it diaplays a screen which says - Enter the service type accounts.- it has the following items - 1. System Admin ID, 2. password, 3. Admin ID, 4. Admin Password, 5. User ID, 6. User Password.
1. System Admin ID already has the id ( through which i have logged on to the system). This option is non editable.
2. password: gives option to type in the password.
3, 4, 5, 6 options are disabled and are blank. we are not able to edit them or write anything in them.
After entering the password when clicked on next , it gives us message saying Invalid Admin ID (3). But the problem here is that the 3,4,5 and 6 options are disabled. We cannot write anything in them. We are not able to install the migration tool kit because of this.
Can anyone help us out in solving this issue.

CAn you precise also what Migration tool are you using?
Migration from 5.1 to SAP BPC 7.0 NW?
In that case when you are speaking about the installation about what part are you speaking?
I think actually you are speaking about the migration tool from 4.2 to 7.0 Microsoft version .
In that case you can install the mIgration tool just with SAP BPC sys admin users and you have to input the password for that user. Sys admin user for BPC is usually the user used for installation of SAP BPC server.
Any way I suggest to follow the Migration tool training document and there you will find all the information necessary.

Dear Nishita,
I hope you have removed the older version of jdk before installing the new version of jdk. Also after un installation of NWDS, did you delete all the temp files and also the directories created during the original installation of NWDS. Also did you restart your system after the uninstallation of NWDS EHP1 and older jdk before reinstallation of the two softwares?

P.S. The first thing you can try is restarting the PC and try resuming the installation, if it doesnt succeed, please remove all traces of NWDS and JDK, restart pc and then resinstall both of them.

Error when installing the Integration Kit for SAP

Hello,
When installing the integration Kit I get the following error:
The installation of BO XI Integration for SAP Solutions cannot continue because WACS has been installed with BO Enterprise.
i have seen in BO-SAp Integration Kit Installation Error that I have to had selected the point Install Tomcat application server option, but I was not asked to.
I'm following the blog BusinessObjects and SAP - Part 1 of 4, and my installation screens are similar but not equal. for example, I fon't have the installation type new, but the quickk type. And I cannot select the database, too.
Of course the screen asking about the Web Application server with the option of installing the tomcat application server doesn't appear.
What have I done wrong?
What is the solution? Reinstalling everything but doing what?

Yes, it is BO Edge.
I have deinstalled the BO Edge sw and now I have installed it again. This time I have selected the export installation type and I have select the TOMCAT. The installation has finished successfully, but when installing the SAP integration Kit, I have the same problem. The message about the WACS already installed appears again.
What else can I do?

We are Using BO XI R3.1 SP3 Enterprise Version ,Integration Tool Kit For SAP,Live Office.
The Server is Linux Server.
But while generating reports in Infoview it is giving error like ""_check that you are licensed to access SAP Data Source_".
So we came to know that license Key might Expire for Integraton Tool Kit For SAP in Bo Server.
So can you tell me how to add the license key For BO XI R3.1 SP3 Integration Tool Kit For SAP in Linux Server.

First check you port numbers as per error, that port is not use.
The port number error_con is not valid.

Error while installing web tools.

I am currently trying to install E-Commerce and Web CRM on a Windows Vista desktop PC, that we are going to use as a Demo PC for potential customers. It is just a demo, so everything is being installed locally on the Demo PC. I run into an error while installing the Web Tools
After the Default Install and before I precede to the Advanced install, I browse to - localhost/B1webtools - and rather than load up the webtools license key request page, I am getting the following error.
HTTP Error 404.17 - Not Found
The requested content appears to be script and will not be served by the static file handler.
I didn't run into any errors during the default install, and it appeared to function just right.
Does anyone know what would cause this error???

Okay so I changed my Application pool and it solved that error. Now I'm able to get the page that has a link to the request license page, but when I click on that link it gives me this error:

Error while installing IFRS Starter Kit in BO FC

Hi Experts,
We are trying to install Starter Kit for IFRS SP1 in BO FC version 7.5. We are following the steps in the installation guide.
However while running the SCAN task, we encounter an error : "Processing task SCAN - (error) ". The log shows that
the packets are extracted, but it is not able to generate the receive tasks. What is the possible cause of this error?
The product information of FC shows that "Build : 7.5.0.1021". How to find the service pack that is installed?

Ok,
The problem is the following : You can only install IFRS packages in a non signed database. Yours is signed as 0000.TOP so it will not work. Even if the goal is to have IFRS packages installed + 0000.TOP signature.
You should do the following :
1. Create a new empty database.
2. Create a new Finance Datasource in CtAdmin.msc which point to the new DB
3. Initialize it as a CHILD DB (All task / Migrate).
4. Connect to the application with ADMIN account and verify that the DB signature is empty (if it's not the case, you will have to switch SQL initialization querries back to child behaviour and restart from step 1).
5. Copy IFRS packages and configure the transfer vector (folder destination).
6. Create and execute the SCAN task
7. Execute each reception task
8. Change DB Signature from 0000.ROLL-OUT to 0000.TOP (SQL querries are documented in the IFRS installation guide).

Please choose to install the Update Rule between InfoSource 2LIS_03_BX to InfoCube 0IC_C03.
You have probably not selected to install the Update Rule which is throwing an error.
While Installing, after choosing the required Objects, please also change the Display to "List" to be able to view all objects clearly.

When u install original sql server, might be it should not ask for product key. In sql source there is one vbs script, just click on that vbs script and ur installation of sql server is going to start. This is upto my knowledge.

The error suggests that the oracle gwdb database was incorrectly created with the wrong username and password for the database. The installation expects the gwdb database to be created with the username of "gwdbuser" and password of "gwdbpass". I would check the login credentials for this database. Also the installation expects the musicdb database to be created with the username of "musicdbuser" and password "musicdbpass". You may want to check this as well.

Error while installing SAPGUI 7.10 for Windows - Any prerequisites

We are upgrading SAP GUI for Windows from 640 to 7.10. In the
Installation guide in "3.1 Setting Up an Installation Server", we are
in the first step to execute file NwCreateInstServer.exe but nothing
gets executed nor there is any error displayed.
-> OS used is Windows 2000 server.
-> In the installation guide we could not find any other prereq. other
than having admin rights in the system.
Are there any other prerequisites like to have .Net Framework or Java 1.4?

Typical pitfall of SAP documentation: You have to read it from the beginning through the end to grasp all their misordered infos you need on working on page x hidden on page x+y.

I've try to execute demo scenario ProxyToProxy (from Simple Use Cases (SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1) at Getting Started With Service Bus-Based Integration [original link is broken] ). I call transaction SXIPATT1, enter suitable data and click "Send". In result, error message "OBJECT_IS_NO_PROXY Object CLASS_NAME CO_SXIPAT_XI_PATTERN_IF2_OUT is not a proxy object" displayed. Can you help me to resolve this problem?

I went to SPROXY transaction. I can not figure out where to find message interface and how to activate it. Can you please give me steps. Like which menu I should go under to see that option?

Error while installing peopleTolls Not asking for Second Cd in 8.49

Hi,
I have installed database 11g, Tuxedo 9.1, Web logic 9.2 on Windows 7 home premium.
I started with the first cd of peopletools 8.49 then after this 1005 completion of first cd a finish button
appeared i clicked that but than after it is not asking for second cd.
Please help me for this.

i guess windows 7 home premium is not a supported version for PeopleTools. Win XP or 2003 versions are most supported versions.
create a VM ware env and try installing using that.
