Error while installing Orcle Webcentre

Question

Environment: Windows XP SP3
I am configuring oracle webcenter. Initially, I have configured all the prereqs for Webcenter like RCU and Weblogic server.
While starting the installation setup, installer for oracle webcenter crashes.
In windows event log, following information is available.
PATH\setup.exe, generated an application error The error occurred on 07/19/2011 @ 16:32:19.011 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 0040269D (setup).
In InstallActions log file in oracle inventory, following log is available
The number of files bootstrapped for the jre is 0.
The number of files bootstrapped for the oui is 354.
In Install log file in oracle inventory the last line of the log is
oracle.install.shiphome.location=C:\DOCUME~1\User1\LOCALS~1\Temp\OraInstall2011-07-19_06-19-06PM\oui\jlib
In first look, it seem some issue related to windows. But I am unable to rectify the issue.

I do not know webcenter very well but from my experience with webcenter Content (used to be a separate product called Universal Content Management) and WLS I would guess that the problem comes from using an unsupported OS. XP is a client OS not a server OS and probably is not supported for WC like it is not supported for WCcontent. You could verify that by looking at the supported versions web docs.
