Error while login as sysdba for creating a new db

Hi DBAs,
i need to create a new database base, so trying to login as sysdba after exporting <ORACLE_SID> and <ORACLE_HOME> and getting the following error, need your help urgently.
SQL> conn / as sysdba
exec(): 0509-036 Cannot load program oracleDBDOC because of the following errors:0509-150 Dependent module /data/oracle/product/10.2.0.3/lib/libjox10.a(shr.o) could not be loaded.
0509-022 Cannot load module /data/oracle/product/10.2.0.3/lib/libjox10.a(shr.o)0509-026 System error: The file access permissions do not allow the specified action.

I am not very sure about the error but it seems to some permission related error on oracle binaries. Can you check those permissions.
Have you created pwd file for db ?

Error while login as sysdba

Hello all,
i was not getting this error before but just got this error as i installed oracle 10g developer kit when i try to connect from report builder i get an error of TNS and when i tried connecting my orcl database i got an error as
*"the procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link library oranl10.dll"*

In the document 294932.1 Section 4 there are no pre-installation patches or update for OS RedHat LinuxAS4.
When I type echo $LD_ASSUME_KERNEL it doesn't display any value so do I need to set the LD_Assume_Kernal value manually.
If yes, please let me know the path and command to set the kernel value.

When you are invoking your page, does your view object has an empty row where data can go and presist?
Create a an empty row in your view object(vo.createRow()) , or use create operation from data control palette.
You can set the log in Tools->Preferences-->Environment-->Log.

I am getting below error while login with 'weblogic' in UCM 11g console "http://server IP: 16200/cs"
"Content Server Request Failed
Unable to load the user information. Possible database connection failure encountered. Error message: (!csDbUnableToCreateResultSet,Quser(SELECT * FROM Users WHERE LOWER(dName) = LOWER('weblogic'))!$Closed Connection). java.sql.SQLException: Closed Connection. "
Because of this we are not getting any content on our custom application pages, that we have integrated through placeholder (using site studio for external application).

As Yannick mentioned it looks like that the DB is shutdown or the listener is not up and running .
Check and verify that all is fine with DB end and then see if the issue still persists . Better would be do a full restart for DB to kill and clean all the existing connections for UCM from DB .

Error while Installing Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction Server

I downloaded "Oracle9i Database Release 2 Enterprise/Standard/Personal Edition for Windows NT/2000/XP" and installed the personal edition. It did not install successfully and gave this error message:

- stop installation of all products.
- stop installation of this component only.
The installation of Oracle 9i Database was unsuccessful
The Integration tools and client installed just fine from the same download. Why didn't the database install successfully? All the other components seemed to install just fine and the database appeared to be created - but I could not open it and there was not start menu option for DBA Studio.
I am running Windows 2000 professional with Service Pack 3 on a 2 GHz Pentium4 machine with 512MB Rambus RAM, 32bit color graphics ATI All-in-Wonder card, about 40GB of disk space, a local peer-to-peer network via cat5 cable to another Win2k P3 machine, and Creative Soundblaster Audigy card. Do I need to adjust any network settings? Would it help or hinder if I installed MS IIS? WinNT has a Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) but Win2k has COM+ instead; does that make a difference in terms of the installer looking for MTS? Do I need to configure COM+ in some special way / change settings?

I am doing the following.
1. I am installing Oracle 10.2.01 Database(Not Client) on my windows Xp laptop. While installation i Choose the custom option and Check the Oracle Windows Interface. In that i check the "Install Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction server" checkbox. The installation goes on fine till 99% and when it tries to install the
Oracle Services for Microsoft Transaction server it gives an error saying that "Microsoft Transaction server" was not found on the system.
I had previously installed the same on my laptop and it was working fine. but after uninstallation when i try to re install i get this problem.
If i go to the services.msc option in windows i still see the OracleMTSRecoveryService option even when i have uninstalled oracle. But when i try to start the services i get the following error
Could Not start the OracleMTSRecoveryService on the local computer.
Error 3: The system cannot find the file specified.
Any help on how to resolve this issue will be highly appreciated

Hi Rish,
Simply go to FS00 and click on edit cost element and for CElm Category give some input based on the G/L account type.
You might have to seek help of an FI consultant to do so.
Also in KA01 create this G/L account as a cost element against your controlling area assigned to your Chart of Accounts, you can do so by clicking on Extra's tab in transaction KA01.
Just let me know if it works.

actualy oracle is installed in server we are using the client version so is it possible to change Oracle_HOME and Oracle SIDAre you trying to login from the server itself or from some clients PC.
If from server then the oracle service is not started.to start the oracle service open cmd and
net start oracleserviceSID
If you are trying to login from a clients PC's then use
sys@tns_alias as sysdba ---> tns_alias is the alias name in the TNSNAMES.ora file

"Non Defined IMS Exception" error while login on Presence Server

I am getting "Non Defined IMS Exception" error while login on Presnce Server. I have configured Publisher Presence server on VMware already and now configuring another presence server in other office for backup purpose. I have copied same VM image and installed in another office which are connected by MPLS. I am able to login on server by admin login (OS administration) but not for administration login.

ERROR:- ENT-09671 ERROR WHILE EXTRACTION DIMENSION METADATA FOR DIMENSION

Hello all,
i am working on OWB 10gR2 while i try to validate & Deploy according to the following process it was successful but as i tried to view data from dimension i am getting an error which i have mentioned below
Source Table = CUST_MST
Destination Table = CUSTOMER
Dimension = CUSTOMER
Mapping = CUSTOMER_MAP
Validate Table CUST_MAP.
Validate Table CUSTOMER.
Validate Dimension CUSTOMER.
Validate Mapping CUSTOMER_MAP.
Deploy table CUSTOMER.
Deploy mapping CUSTOMER_MAP.
Deploy dimension CUSTOMER (configured => Deploy All).
Deploy table CUSTOMER.
Deploy sequence <CUSTOMER_SEQ>
Deploy mapping CUSTOMER_MAP.
Deploy dimension CUSTOMER (configured => Deploy All).
Start mapping to load table CUSTOMER.
After this i am getting an error while i tried to view the data in the dimension
ERROR:- ENT-09671 ERROR WHILE EXTRACTION DIMENSION METADATA FOR DIMENSION DATAVIEWER

Not sure if it's valid to have a dimension with 1 hierarchy and 1 level in that hierarchy. The hierarchy may have to have at least 2 levels. If you want the configuration of a dimension with 1 hierarchy and 1 level, CWM2 may want you to omit the hierarchy, thus creating the dimension with only 1 level.
