Error while lunching lightroom

while lunching the application there shows an error message "An error occurred when attempting to change modules", how will i fix this?

No. I tried those suggestions that Ned Murphy sent, but still got the same install error.
Last night, I had some Apple installs (iTunes update) fail as well with an "internal error" on that same PC. Using tracing tools, I think it is something to do with the registry. I think it is probably time for me to reinstall Windows.
If I didn't do gaming on that computer, I'd ditch it for a Mac, as it is my last computer running that horrible Microsoft sludge known as Windows with their infernal, complex, buggy registry. I have switched to Mac on every other computer in my world (work, living-room entertainment).
Anyway, sorry for the negativity, but this problem is immensely frustrating. I have a library of 150,000 images that I now cannot use Lightroom to manage.

I got this same error both when trying to download Lightroom from Creative Cloud, from the Lightroom 5 install disk I have, and from the 5.6 update that downloaded.
The problem started when my version of 5.4 (which was working fine) told me to upgrade to 5.6. The upgrade happily removed 5.4, and then failed in the middle of the 5.6 upgrade.
Since then, I can't install any version of 5.x, even after rebooting Windows.

  • Error while installing Lightroom 3 Trial

    Hi all,
I've been trying to install the Lightroom 3 64-bit trial for two days now. It gets all the way to the 'Copying new files" part then I get an error.
The error box states, "Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assemply component (6435B7C0-E0C8-3EA2-91AE-7640034EAFCE}. HRESULT: 0x80070003."
I've google'd, checked these forums and I've done most of the fixes, none have worked. Can anyone help?
Current system specs (mentioned in other helped forums):
    OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
    .NET Framework v.4
    Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redist

    adivin7,
I had the exact same problem just now and cannot figure out what went wrong. If you figured it out after you posted this, please let me know what went wrong and/or how you fixed the problem. Thank you!

Hey Torrace, you are not speaking to Adobe here. This forum is filled with users, and Adobe staff rarely stops by.
If you want to contact Adobe, this is not the place.
You might want to try one of the Resources that are listed on the front page of this Lightroom Forum, and if you do contact Adobe, you might want to mention your operating system.

I have the same problem, and the solutions in   Error changing modules | Lightroom do not work.  Even uninstalling and reinstalling a new copy did not solve the problem.  As anyone got an idea what other lingering files might be causing the problem?

  • Error while changing between modules

    Dear Know-it-All out there.
Iam a Newbie - Middlebie Photosop User , so to keep it short.
We just installed CC with Lightroom & PS. The problem „Error while changing between modules“.
is occurring while starting Lightroom and the program cannot be used properly.
There seems no chance to create a catalog properly, the Library just
does not open any menu which it should do.
Adobe Support could not work it out either so roar, their suggestions was
to restart in safety mode / deleting library 5plist / plus many more
little stuff which actually did not help.  This is already the second installation ,
same problem as with the first. We are working on a IMac 2.9GHz, i5, 8GB 1600Mh, OSX 10.9
Any ideas? Thank you so much and kind regards.

Squirrel, This problem occurs after having selected an existing JPEG file when trying to create a new catalog, instead of entering the name of a new catalog. To recover, rename the LR preferences file and restart LR. Name and location of the LR preferences file can be found here. Beat

  • Error while generating a role

    Hi SAP Techies,
I am getting the following error while generating a role,
"18 field value(s) for object K_CCA were not entered in the profile"
Can you please provide me a solution to fix this problem.
    Thanks.
    Regards,

How many cost centres are you putting in the role?  Do you have cost centre set as an org level?
From your User Name I assume that you are at the BBC...Do you still use a program to populate the cost centres in the role based on the cost centre group names?  If so it is possible that you are trying to put too many cost centres in the field and the the profile will not generate because of this (we had it back in 2001 when I was working there).
Do you have the technical error message details?

These type of Internal Errors are all too common in OWB and it's difficult to diagnose the exact problem.
I'd suggest closing the Design Centre, going back in and trying to delete it again, this will often resolve Internal errors.
There's also an article on Metalink Doc ID: 460411.1 about errors when deleting mappings but it's specific to an ACLContainer error, so may or may not be of use.
One of the suggestions is to connect as the Repository Owner rather than a User and try to delete the mapping.
    Cheers
    Si
