Hi,
My requirement is to send a smartform through e-mail as PDF attachment.I have made the changes in the print program of the smart form.When I try to assign the output type to the medium external send in vt02n transaction,it is being saved but it is showing the status as 'not processed'.
When I check the processing log it is showing 'Please maintain a output device in your user master data'.But I am able to send the mail and open the attachment.
When I try to assign the same o/p type to medium special function,this is being successfully processed .Why am I getting error when I try to assign theo/p type to medium external send?

Hi,
No it is not possible. However this issue is resolved in SOA Suite 11g PS3. Where it uses BPEL WS 2.0 standards.

Error while trying to assign a role via CUP in Portal

Hello Experts,
I am trying to create a request to assign a role in EP via CUP ( 5.3)
EP Connector is working fine as I have imported Portal roles etc
SPML service is working fine
I have done the mapping in the Provisioning tab for Portal system
logonname in portal is email address of an employee
So the I have done the following mapping
AC Field Application field
email addres-Stndard logonname
And I have the following error while trying to create a request which I grabbed form the log
ERROR Exception during EJB call, Ignoring and trying Webservice Call
LinkageError: loader constraints violated when linking com/virsa/cc/xsys/webservices/dto/WSRAInputParamDTO class
ERROR com.virsa.ae.core.BOException: Exception from the service : Invalid System

Kevin,
I was able to replicate your issue and there is a setting in the CUP that you have to disable, Goto the config tab in the CUP and select NO for the "Risk Analysis On Request Submission " under risk analysis.
Issue here is you did not create a connector for your EP in the RAR, I believe you have the above mentioned parameter to yes and so when you are submitting a request CUP is trying to do the risk analysis but RAR was not able to find any System, so it is thowing an error.
You can resolve this issue in two ways, one is to create a connector in RAR or the other is to disable the setting in the CUP.

Check the logic in the entity adapter ENT_Prov_Permitted_Resources.
This adapter is causing problems when you are trying to assign the resource.

Error while releasing Billing: Assign HD00 (Frieght) Condition type in COPA

I am getting the below error while releasing billing document.
Assign condition HD00 type in COPA
HD00 condition type is frieght condition type
Is it good thing if we assign this condition type to COPA value field in KE4I? or we should not assign Frieght condition to COPA?

HI Kishore,
To which GL account are you posting this freight condition value? Is that GL created as a revenue element (of category '11'/'12')?
If yes (has to be 'yes', since you are getting the error message), then you don't have a choice but assigning a CO-PA value field in KE4I. The idea here is, if you have created the GL as revenue element, then you intend to take it to Controlling module for further analysis. Thus, making your FI/CO reconciliation easy.
If you do want to carry this value to CO-PA for analytical reporting then don't create that particular GL (assuming you are posting freight to a separate GL) as a revenue element. That said, it does make sense to carry this value to CO-PA and in your present case, you don't have a choice as the message which you got is an error message, which you can't circumvent.

I think this is essentially saying that the Supervisor Assignment is wrong or no longer effective. Looking at your SQL to fetch the Supervisor Assignment there are a number of potential issues. This is what you've currently got:

Potential Problems/Clarifications
1. What is r.supervisor_number, what does it contain and how is it derived? I can't see that anywhere else in the block...
2. Is there a chance that r.supervisor_number is referencing an employee who has left, ie, now an ex-employee?
3. The SELECT statement that fetches the assignment_id does not perform any date-effective restrictions, which means you might be lucky enough to fetch the person's current assignment. But you might also fetch an old or future-dated assignment.
4. The SELECT statement that fetches the assignment_id does not restrict the type of assignment, so if this manager has applied for a job (ie, they have an applicant assignment) or some other type of non-employee assignment you might be picking that up.
This would work better for you:

If it doesn't return a row it means that the supervisor (or whatever employee is returned by r.supervisor_number) is not active as at sysdate and cannot be used. Note that this SQL only applies for employees. If you can have Contingent Workers as supervisors in your implementation then this needs tweaking.

NotSerializable error while trying to write arraylist

I am getting a NotSerializable error while trying to write an arraylist to a file.

     I inentionally did not write the whole error stack because it was way too long and I ran out of characters. But line 1475 is where I do the writeObject call. I also goet some weird not serialized exceptions before on some other classes that are not being written to the file or are not part of the object that I am writing. I serialized those classes and now it's this unknown object that's causing problems.
Edit: The problem may be due to the JFileChooser I am using to select the file as it is a non-serializable object. But I am not trying to write it to the file and in fact am just writing the arrayLists and BigInteger as objects to the file.

java.io.NotSerializableException: javax.swing.plaf.metal.MetalFileChooserUIThat's a Swing component and it is clearly related to the JFileChooser.
I also get some weird not serialized exceptions before on some other classes that are not being written to the file or are not part of the object that I am writing.That's a contradiction in terms. If you get NotSerialzableException it means the objects are being written. So they are reachable from the objects you're writing.
Edit: The problem may be due to the JFileChooser I am using to select the file as it is a non-serializable object.JFileChooser implements Serializable, but you're right, you shouldn't try to serialize it. But clearly this is the current problem. Somewhere you have a reference to it reachable via the object(s) you are serializing.
I suspect that Node and Edge inner classes and that you aren't aware that inner classes contain a hidden reference to their containing class. The solution for serializaition purposes is to make them static nested classes, or outer classes.

If you have a installation of dual stack(ABAP + JAVA) system.. check in SU01 transaction if SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role is assigned to the J2EE_ADMIN user. If not, please assign it.
For only JAVA stack systems, default administrator user is Administrator.

EDA Error while trying to access the personal details.

Hi All,
A new user(employee) is assigned with EDA responsibility to view/update his personal details and bank details.
The user is able to view & update the bank details. But he is not able to open the personal details page. He is getting the following error while trying to access the personal detail link.
HR_BASIC_DETAILS_WEB.GET_READ_ONLY_INFORAMTION: ORA-20002: 3123: Duplicate attribute 'DISPLAY_MARITAL_STATUS' could not be created for item 'HRSSA/28012061'.
All users except the new user, dont have this issue.

I'm trying to write an ASP .Net web application to connect to SBO 2004 database using DI API 6.7. Below is the code segment to connect to database:

But I get this message when I tried to run it:
-8008: Error while trying to initialize database
I have also tried to use DbUserName and DbPassword, it gave me the same output. I have assign administrator right to ASPNET user. What else can I do? Thanks for any advice.

Now I encounter another problem. When I use the same code and tried to access, I have this message:
-103 Connection to the company database has failed.
I have also tried to set the UseTrusted to true
The SDK ersion is 6.7 and the Business One version is 2004B.
The strange thing is I have tried the same code on another machine with the same setup, the other machine works fine. The only difference is this other machine is a development machine.

I tried doing setting with VKOA and checked with
VF02, Environment-Account determination analysis.
--> it says account determination is found.
Then i clicked the Flag button(Release to accounting) in VF02.
It gives below error in status bar

How to go ahead or solve this error.

Excel service and OWA - getting ERROR while trying to open/edit Excel documents

We have configured SharePoint 2013 with Excel Service and OWA (Office Web Apps).
After configuring, we are able to view/edit Word or PowerPoint documents from the browser (as OWA is configured). But we are getting errors while trying to open/edit Excel documents.
We are not able to view/edit the excel workbook from the browser (through OWA).
To open the excel in the browser, decision has to be taken at the farm level on what to be used – Excel Service or OWA Server? Is it possible to do setting at site collection level?

"Error while trying to sync Audio and Midi" I have been having this problem now and then for some time. Now, I can't run any audio files without a lot of popping. I tried all the suggestions on the support document for this issue. I even downloaded new drivers from Motu for my Express XT Midi interface and my 828MK11 Audio interface. There has been no change. HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!!!
Also, I have tried reseting the 828 to factory default and that does not help.

Hi,
I solved my own problem by resetting the factory presets:
Follow these steps to restore the MOTU 828mkII to Factory Default Settings.
Disconnect the firewire cable from the 828mkII
Press the Setup knob
Turn the Setup knob all the way to the right
Press the Select knob
Press the Value knob
Power off the interface and plug the firewire cable back in
Power the interface back on
The same steps can be followed to restore the Factory Default Settings on a Traveler.

big help. In our session we keep getting this problem where the song counter stops, the music keeps playing and we get an error message saying:
Non Tempo-Event found in Sync Reference
We looked in the tempo list and somehow there was a tempo event of 0.00 tempo in there.
We deleted it, got the same error message, but the prob seems to be fixed.
Apple, please fix this!
