Error while trying to import .dmp file in oracle

I am trying to import a .dmp file using impdp command. Whenever I try that I get following error logs:

Import has a lot of options, so it depends on what you want to do.
C:\> imp help=y
will show you all possible options. An example of full import :
C:\> imp <username>/<password>@<TNS alias> file=<DMP file> full=y log=<LOG file>

You do not.
.dmp files are created from our Export and Data Pump database utilities and are proprietary files. You use the corresponding Import (or Data Pump) utility to import the data.

Getting Error while trying to import VacationRequest Sample

Soa Project will not compile. Please edit this file and fix metadata-store location(s).

I'm following the note 139516.1 on metalink to use Discoverer 4i with E-Business Suite 11.5.10.2.
Everything goes well until I try to import the eex files (downloaded to my Windows XP desktop). Here is what I get:

Import .dmp file in Oracle 11g in Linux

Hi experts,
I m new here, please tell me how to import the database as .dmp file in Oracle 11g Release in Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.5.
As i tried to execute this command:-
**$ impdp username/password@orcl file = FILENAME.dmp full=y log=log.txt**
but it gives error as:-
**bash: impdp: command not found**
Now please help me about this.

**bash: impdp: command not found**First, if the command was not found it means that you don't have the right environment variables. So, be sure to be connected with the right OS User (oracle for instance).
Secondly, the parameter FILE is not used with Datapump. Instead you should use the Parameter DUMPFILE and, more over, you should better specify a DIRECTORY.
So, as said by Azar, you should read the documentation and see the differences between Datapump and classical Export/Import utility.

Regarding Import .dmp files to Oracle

I have GosalesDw.dmp files. I need to import these files to Oracle database.
I am loging to system/admin . Then I issues 'host cmd' and then i am using ' imp' command for import. But i am unable to import.
I think I am giving wrong information for path . so suggested me how i will give the path.

Linking error while trying to connect to 10 g oracle db through OCCI

Hello experts,
Iam getting a linking error while trying to connect to 10 g through OCCI.I've tried both available Instant client versions,But no luck.now, I am using instant client 11.2.0.2 with visual studio 2005 and oracle 10 g on 32 bit XP. I get "*The procedure entry point OCILobSetContentType could not be located in the dynamic link library OCI.dll*" linking error
How can i fix this error

Please ensure that you are using correct PATH and ORACLE_HOME settings - for example if IC 11202 is installed in
c:\oracle\11202\instantclient_112
execute on commandline
ORACLE_HOME=c:\oracle\11202\instantclient_112
PATH=%ORACLE_HOME%;%ORACLE_HOME%\bin;%PATH%
before starting VS2005 from commandline - or generate a commandscript
Inside VS2005 please ensure that you are picking up the libraries from
%ORACLE_HOM%\oci\lib\msvc\v8\*
furtheron, copy the
%ORACLE_HOM%\oci\lib\msvc\v8\*.dll
to %ORACLE_HOME% - otherwise by default the v9 ar picked up (copied during installation)
When this has been done, build the code and test - should work

the problem seems to be that the temp folder of the target Integration Builder system can't be found:
'The system cannot find the path specified
at [..] FileAccess.getTempDirectory([..])'.
You'll experience the same problem if you try a file based import or export within the Integration Builder directly.
I would recommend to continue the search there. You could check if the environment variables (for Windows: TEMP and TMP) of the OS of the system with the target Integration Builder to an existing path. Check also if the WebAs can access this path.

There was some issues with the wsdl url itselft, now i got the right wsdl url and i tried with wsnavigator , i tested it works fine from there...
but when i try to import using adaptive web service model it is throwing error..pls find the error log below...i am getting cannot load namespaces and model classes error and also some proxy error..i am giving proxy and 8080 as default...pls let me know what exact proxy settings i have to give here..

Error while trying to import a package already assembled & approved in CMS

Hi all,
I am managing a project in which we have several tracks, one of them is DEV to CONS, the transport using CMS here is executed succesfully. Also, there are another tracks that contain only one single system each other, while trying to transport from CONS to PRD i can assembly the package and approve it but i am not able to import it in the target system. Hello Esther,
the problem seems to be that the temp folder of the target Integration Builder system can't be found:
'The system cannot find the path specified
at [..] FileAccess.getTempDirectory([..])'.
You'll experience the same problem if you try a file based import or export within the Integration Builder directly.
I would recommend to continue the search there. You could check if the environment variables (for Windows: TEMP and TMP) of the OS of the system with the target Integration Builder to an existing path. Check also if the WebAs can access this path.

I get an error when trying to import MP3 files in iTunes?

When I try to import mp3 files into iTunes (version 6), I get an error message of:
The file "song file name" can not be imported An unknown error has occurred (-50).
I have already imported these files into iTnes on my old computer, but run into this problem with my new laptop. I downloaded a new version of iTunes just like I installed all my new programs on this new laptop.
For some reason, I run into this problem when trying to import any mp3 files (as mentioned, even mp3 files that I successfully imported into iTunes previously).
(I've tried a complete removal and re-install, but that didn't help)
Anyone know why I'm getting this error message and how to correct things?

I solved the above error by removing oscache***.jar file and keeping only oscache.jar in lib directory.

Error while trying to import using OdiImportObject

When trying to import project using OdiImportObject from command prompt the following error is encountered...

The required work repository name, master repository credentials and driver details have been provided in the Odiparams.bat file

I have digged through the Startcmd codes and for odiimportobject it calls

and it does not have any mention about work rep name in the parameters.
I can't figure out the reason why its not working but the solution ican suggest is that instead of default use this
for %%a in (SnpsImportObject OdiImportObject) do if %%a == %1 goto CONNECTED_COMMAND
as connected command reads the work rep name from the odiparams file and that solve your issue.
Might be you can look into metalink for the most appropriate reason why your command is not working. But for the time being the solution i gave will work .

PST Capture error when trying to import .PST files

I am currently migrating mailboxes from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 on prem. I have installed PST Capture 2.0 and 64-bit Outlook 2013 on a Windows 2008 R2 machine and have installed the PST Capture 2.0 agent on a workstation that has some .pst files
on it. PST Capture finds all the .pst files on the workstation, but when I use PST Capture to try to import PST files into a mailbox on Exchange 2013, I get the error "Import error: Error opening mailbox [email protected]".
I created a userID with a mailbox to run PST Capture. Based on the instructions at
https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh781035%28v=exchg.141%29.aspx I have made that user a member of the groups that are assigned the Public Folder Management role, the Mailbox Import Export role and the Organizational Management role. The
user is also a local admin on the machine running the PST Capture console. While the error sounds like a permissions issue, these are the only permissions I could find documented for PST Capture. I am starting PST Capture with "Run as administrator"
Any ideas why this isn't working? Are there any other permissions that the PST Capture user needs? Is there anything else I need to do?

Generally PST capture tool allows you to search for PST files & import these PST files
to the mailboxes but as your account is not getting connected, so you need to check settings of your PST Capture tool :

If this solution does not work out for you, then I would advise you to use any professional
tool for exchange migration like CodeTwo , Stellar. From my personal experience, I would recommend you to go for Stellar Mailbox Extractor for Exchange Server as it migrated my mailboxes to another Exchange Server in quick time.
