Error while trying to run DBMS_STAT.GATHER_TABLE_STATS

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to run DBMS_STAT.GATHER_TABLE_STATS from a procedure from a DBA role granted user I am getting the folowing error:
ORA-20000: Unable to analyze TABLE "<SCHEMA_NAME>"."<TABLE_NAME>", insufficient privileges or does not exist
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 13046
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 13076
ORA-06512: at line 2
Is I am missing something?

It's a quite common problem...
Privileges granted through roles doesn't work inside stored procedures. So the DBA role it's not working inside procedure.
See Metalink Note 168168.1.
If you want to run dbms_stats.gather_table_stats from inside procedure,
you need to grant "ANALYZE ANY" directly to this user.

It definitely is an environment related issue(that is what I am trying to find out)
This is occuring in our DEV environment. It works fine in TEST and PROD.
More than likely it is due to low resources in the DEV...but I figured some one would have seen it before....and would answer my question with a definite answer.

Error While trying to run a servlet

I am getting the below error while trying to run a servlet using tomcat.In this admin is a directory where I have a html file called admin.html which calls the servlet AdminServlet & replaces the url by /servlet/AdminServlet.

Tomcat error while trying to run the servlet

VS 2010 error: 'Error while trying to run project: Not implemented'

I added a new Oracle database project using Oracle Tools for Visual Studio 2010. Once the Oracle database project is added to my Solution, my Visual Studio is no longer able to start the debugger and at times not able to run Test Cases. It error with 'Error while trying to run project: Not implemented'. If I unload the project, VS starts working fine.
Any idea on how to resolve this issue?

This issue was resolved after changing the user name to "oats" this is the user name of weblogic server and not the OATS console.

Stack overflow error while trying to run expense management activity on oracle BPM studio 10.3 on windows8 machine

Error while trying to run a compiled program

Hi guys, I am new here and so is my experience in Java. I am taking Computer Science major in college right now.
I have a problem trying to run a program that has compiled. I always receive an error message like this:

It doesn't work on my computer, but it works in my school. I do not know why. I am using JDK 1.3 and the school uses JDK 1.2. Both have the same OS(win98). I can't trace the error.

He's right! The computer you use at school might be set with the correct environment variables so you don't have to type -classpath.
So for your computer at home; you can either do the -classpath typing (waste of time) or set-up you PC properly: Look at this guide

We hve installed E-Business 12.0.4 and are trying to run RDA diagnostics tool. And I am getting this error
ERROR - Environment is not set
ACTION - RDA cannot execute without a correct applications environment. Make sure a valid environment is available at the command line for RDA.
I refered to metalink note 235307.1 . There is FAQ Section . It says for R12

This error can occur on a RAC or shared APPL_TOP environment, or when using virtual hostname (bug 7246721 ), when running RDA from within ODF.
The issue is that RDA may try to run APPSORA.env when running from ODF but in a shared APPL_TOP environment, running the APPSORA.env may be incorrect for the node.

RDA is unable to find the config.xml file under $APPL_TOP/admin ( e.g. <$TWO_TASK>_<hostname>.xml or <$TWO_TASK>.xml )
and
EBS environment file under $APPL_TOP. ( APPSORA.env or APPS<$TWO_TASK>_<hostname>.env )
Workaround:
1. Get the value for TWO_TASK from the dbc-file ( Usually under $FND_SECURE matching the value of "s_dbc_file_name" in the $CONTEXT_FILE)
2. If files $APPL_TOP/APPSORA.env and $APPL_TOP/APPS<TWO_TASK>_<hostname>.env do not exist
create a symbolic link from the existing EBS environment file (e.g. APPS_<hostname>.env) to $APPL_TOP/APPS<TWO_TASK>_<hostname>.env
My problem is that the file $APPL_TOP/APPS<TWO_TASK>_<hostname>.env exists but the APPSORA.env does not exist .
Also the note does not mention anything about resolving the config.xml . This does not exist for me too.
