Error while trying to run program using java.exe

First of all I'd like to apoligize if this thread already exists here somewhere.. I've spent the last hours Googling and searching the forums for an answer, but haven't found one, so I posted a topic..
The problem is the following:
I'm using Netbeans 5.5 with JDK1.6.0. When I build/run a Java application in this IDE, I get no errors whatsoever..
But, when I try to run it from the prompt, using following code (I copied the .class file into the same directory as the .java file)
java -classpath . main.javaI get the following errors:
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass1(Native Method)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)
at java.security.SecureClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Sour
at java.net.URLClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)

at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Sourc
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)
at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(Unknown Source)I'm quite sure that the problem is something I'm simply missing, since Netbeans runs everything without troubles..
Anyone an idea how I could solve this problem? (Trust me, I checked the net, lots of people with this prob, but no decent solutions given)
Thanks in advance (and once again sorry if this thread already existed).
Greetings,
Tribio

Oh, forgot the first error line indeed, thanks for pointing that out.

package jpf;Hateful problem, and I so wanna use the prompt java once in a while instead of having to rely on NetBeans..
And you're not at all looking at it too simple, any input on the matter is appreciated.. :)

  • VS 2010 error: 'Error while trying to run project: Not implemented'

    I added a new Oracle database project using Oracle Tools for Visual Studio 2010. Once the Oracle database project is added to my Solution, my Visual Studio is no longer able to start the debugger and at times not able to run Test Cases. It error with 'Error while trying to run project: Not implemented'. If I unload the project, VS starts working fine.
    Any idea on how to resolve this issue?

    I ran into this problem as well, working in a VS2010 solution which included an ASP.NET web project and the v11.2.0.2.1 ODT version of the Oracle project.
    Turns out that I was able to solve the problem by removing the Oracle project from the solution, and then adding it back in. From a SLN file point of view, it seems that as long as the Oracle SQL project is located after the Web Application Project that everything works fine.
    Note that the SLN file is not organized by alphabetical project name, so changing the name of the SQL project doesn't help; its organized by order of project addition to the solution, so removing and re-adding is the way to go.

  • Error while trying to run reports

    Hello,
    I am getting the following error while trying to run/launch AIX based Ora. Apps 11.5.10.2
    $ rwbld60
    Error: Object "" does not have windowed ancestor
    Does anyone know what could be causing this?
    Thanks,
    Chiru

    Hi chiru,
    it seems to be some environment problem ????Hey Mitra,
    Thank you for the reply.
    It definitely is an environment related issue(that is what I am trying to find out)
    This is occuring in our DEV environment. It works fine in TEST and PROD.
    More than likely it is due to low resources in the DEV...but I figured some one would have seen it before....and would answer my question with a definite answer.
    Thanks,
    Chiru

    Did you install the VS update in your VS IDE? I met this issue before which was related to the VS update:
    https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/5ead8ee9-ea09-4060-88b0-ee2e2044ff82/error-while-trying-to-run-a-project-uncaught-exception-thrown-by-method-called-through-reflection?forum=vsdebug
    If still no help, I suggest you repair your VS, and then restart your machine, test the result.

  • Error while trying to run a compiled program

    Hi guys, I am new here and so is my experience in Java. I am taking Computer Science major in college right now.
    I have a problem trying to run a program that has compiled. I always receive an error message like this:
    C:\>javac A:\Grade.java
    C:\>java A:\Grade.java
    Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: A:\Grade/java
    It doesn't work on my computer, but it works in my school. I do not know why. I am using JDK 1.3 and the school uses JDK 1.2. Both have the same OS(win98). I can't trace the error.
    Please help me out. Thank you so much. It would save me a lot of time doing the program at home.

    He's right! The computer you use at school might be set with the correct environment variables so you don't have to type -classpath.
    So for your computer at home; you can either do the -classpath typing (waste of time) or set-up you PC properly: Look at this guide
    http://java.sun.com/products/jdk/1.1/docs/tooldocs/win32/classpath.html
    Good Luck

  • Error while trying to access WebService using WSIF

    Hi All,
    I am a new developer to WebServices. I read up information on how to create the WSDL and stubs using JDev 10g (10.1.2) using the wsa.jar that ships with the download. After creating my WSDL and the necessary proxies, when I try to run my client application (which runs in the same covatiner, standalone OC4j), I get the below error :
    06/09/29 13:42:21 org.apache.wsif.WSIFException: org.apache.wsif.providers.ejb.WSIFOperation_EJB@15b0c83 : Could not invoke 'getOrderList'; nested exception is:
    org.apache.wsif.WSIFException: Error while determining signature of method getOrderList : The meta information is not consistent.; nested exception is:
    org.apache.wsif.WSIFException: parameters

    06/09/29 13:42:21 at $Proxy3.getOrderList(Unknown Source)
    I am trying to expose a Stateless Session EJB as a WebService, which contains a method called getOrderList(). This method returns an array of a complex type (Java Bean).
    I am, however, able to succesfully access the WebService using the SOAP/HTTP protocol.
    My client code is as follows:
    WSIFServiceFactory factory = WSIFServiceFactory.newInstance();
    WSIFService service = factory.getService("<path to wsdl>", null, null, "http://sample.com/", "OrderService");
    orderService = (OrderService) service.getStub("WsifEjb", OrderService.class);
    Not sure what am I missing here. If any further information is required in order to resolve this, please let me know.
    Thanks,

    You are trying to get 2 databases connected... so, you need to insure that FDEV can find and connect to ABCD.
    So, from your FDEV database server, you can do 2 things (from command prompt):
    1* tnsping ABCD (this will validate that the entry exists in your tnsnames.ora on your FDEV server, and that a valid listener can be found on remote server)
    when above command succeeds:
    2* sqlplus apps/appsdev@ABCD;
    when you have established the connection, then you are SURE that your can connect ABCD database from FDEV database server. It will also validate the username / password combination, create session privilige, account not locked, etc.....
    Please check the above, and post here the results.

  • Trying to run programs with java 1.4.2_07 after upgrading Eclipse

    Hi All,
    I'm using Eclipse version 3.1.0 and java 5.0 (1.5.0_03). I changed the JRE of a program back to 1.4.2_07, but when i try to run it i get this:

    Also, another thing people may want to try. A coworker was having a problem where she kept getting the unsupported major minor version error from eclipse after upgrading to the latest version of java.
    All the configuration settings were correct, pointing to the latest vm. I tried starting eclipse with the parameter
    -vm "C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.5.0_04\jre\bin\javaw.exe"
    and it worked just fine. Without this, it was apparently finding some conflict between jdk1.5 and the older jdk1.4.
    IDE's are nice, but I find configuring them after an upgrade to be exremely painful.
