Hi All,
I had configured webservice -> XI -> Webservice scenario.
I had done everything properly as it is given in the help.sap.com. but when i tried to execute the scenario using Stylus Studio(Sending SOAP Req), i got the following error.
System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error:(401)Unauthorized.

at at System.Net.HttpWebRequest.GetResponse()
at WebServiceClient.Send()

Can anyone help me out in this regard.

• Question: Application error when using SOAP sender

Hi,
I got the following error when calling SOAP sender:

From the runtime monitor, it shows:
SOAP: response message contains an error Application/UNKNOWN/APPLICATION_ERROR - application fault
Actually I maintained the host name in file hosts. And with XMLSpy, I can directly connect the Webservice successfully, but with XI, it stops me at this point. It seems the connection has been established, because if the WebService is stopped, I will get error HTTP 0 Null, If it's started, I get the above problem.
Could you please provide the hints.
Thanks a lot!
Best Regards
Yuedong

Hi,
I found the problem:
It's because of the wrong format of message. the message is created with a WSDL file generated by external development system, but it's not correctly explained by XI. I manually created the messge (request & response), then it worked.
Actually the error has nothing to do with hostname. it means the host returns application error (but unfortunately there is no detailed information).
Thanks a lot for your kindly help!
Best Regards
Yuedong
By the way, how can I reward the point?

Hi,
Thanks for your replies...
The thing is that we tried a receiver mail adapter scenario with SMTP prptocol which is working perfectly fine... Its the same SMTP sever we are using even in this case.
What could be the network problems that you mentioned, could you throw more light on the same.

Hi Anuj,
Thanks for your reply!
I found that the data source is registered on server soa_server1 as follows:
Binding Name: jdbc.soademoDatabase

Hash Code: 80328036

Binding Name: jdbc.SOADataSource

I don't know how to determine which server the DBAdapter is targetted to.
But I found the following information:
Under Deoloyment->DBAdapter->Monitoring->Outbound Connection Pools
Outbound Connection Pool Server State Current Connections Created Connections
eis/DB/SOADemo AdminServer Running 1 1
eis/DB/SOADemo soa_server1 Running 1 1
eis/DB/soademoDatabase AdminServer Running 1 1
eis/DB/soademoDatabase soa_server1 Running 1 1
The DbAdapter is related to the following files:
C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ connectors\ DbAdapter. rar
C:\ Oracle\ Middleware\ home_11gR1\ Oracle_SOA1\ soa\ DBPlan\ Plan. xml
I unzipped DbAdapter.rar, opened weblogic-ra.xml and found that there's only one data source is registered:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<weblogic-connector xmlns="http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90">

</connection-properties>
</connection-instance>
</connection-definition-group>
</outbound-resource-adapter>
</weblogic-connector>
Then I decided to use eis/DB/SOADemo for testing.
For JDeveloper project, after I deployed to weblogic server, it works fine.
But for OSB project referencing wsdl, jca and mapping file from JDeveloper project, still got the same error as follows:

You may need to configure the connection settings in the deployment descriptor (i.e. DbAdapter.rar#META-INF/weblogic-ra.xml) and restart the server. This exception is considered not retriable, likely due to a modelling mistake.
It almost drive me crazy!!:-(
What's the purpose of 'weblogic-ra.xml' under the folder of 'C:\Oracle\Middleware\home_11gR1\Oracle_OSB1\lib\external\adapters\META-INF'?

I am not able to solve this.
Can you please let me know solution for this or provide me link for tutorial of DBAdapter for stored procdure call?

did u deploy your dbadapter through console to the plan mentioned for deployment?

• "Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service

Running PB 12.1 Build 7000. Using Easysoap. Error ""Error while parsing SOAP XML payload: no element found" received when invoking Web Service". This error does not appear to be coming from the application code. Noticed that there were some erroneous characters showing up within the header portion of the XML ("&Quot;"). Not sure where these are coming from. When I do a find within the PB code for """" it gets located within two objects, whereas they both reference a "temp_xml_letter". Not sure where or what temp_xml_letter resides??? The developer of this is no longer with us and my exposure to WSDL and Web Services is rather limited. Need to get this resolved...please.
This is the result of the search. Notice the extraneous characters ("""):

Maybe "extraneous" is an incorrect term. Apparantly, based upon the writeup within Wiki, the parser I am using does not interpret the """? How do I find which parser is being utilized and how to control it?

• Getting error while preparing to send sharing message

I have seen many people post up about this same error, however I am going to share some details in the troubleshooting I have performed.
Environment: Exchange 2013. Cloud hosted. Internet connectivity using any number of clients. Mostly OWA, but a few Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2013.
1. User A with Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013 right clicks on the calendar and clicks "Share" -> "Share Calendar". They look up User B in the Global Address List and click "Send." An error window pop-up states "Error while
preparing to send sharing message." User A is able to click on Calendar Permissions and add User B to the correct permissions. User A with OWA is able to right click on the calendar and click "Share Calendar" and it will send the message, no
errors.
2. User B with Outlook 2010 or Outlook 2013 on the same computer that User A was trying to do this from right clicks on the calendar and clicks "Share" -> "Share Calendar". They look up User A in the Global Address List and click "Send".
No errors and the message goes through fine. It works correctly with OWA as well.
I have seen people put up "autodiscover" and "permissions" or other things. This is obviously not a permission issue because the same thing that can be accomplished in OWA can't be accomplished in Outlook. It isn't an autodiscover issue
because the same thing that one person can accomplish on a computer/Outlook, another cannot. This is the same error that I have seen since the time of Outlook 2007 and have yet to see a valid solution.
Thanks,
Don

Hi Don,
Hope it is the solution:

Our portal platform: HP-UX, WAS 6.40 JAVA, EP 6.0 SP14
We created an XML iview using XML iview template and configured the XML source URL with RSS feeder addresses such as"https://forums.sdn.sap.com/rss/rssmessages.jsp?forumID=41". • Outlook 2010/Error sharing Calendar: Error while preparing to send sharing message

Everyone that is connected to this exchange is receiving an error when they attempt to share a calendar in outlook 2010. We are using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010. The error reads: Error while preparing to send sharing message.
Any ideas on a reason why this would be happening?

I think it may be caused by the following reasons.
1. Auto Discover service or outlook 2010 issue
To verify it ,you could try sharing calendar via OWA?
For how to manage Auto discover Service
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-au/library/aa995956.aspx
2.Mailbox corruption issue
For how to repair database
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrclients/thread/0ef36823-261f-40eb-a2e7-6dd0398d8d10/
3. Restrictive sharing permission assigned on the calendar.
Could you please verify if it is caused by your sharing policies? If the User chooses to change the permission
to the following: "Anyone can view and search for this Calendar on Office online.” You should be able to send
them without issues.

Hello,
What exactly are you trying to do? Here I got 2 examples for you , replace with your directory name and pick right option for 'a' (append) or 'w' (write) or 'R' (read).
To read from a directory_ . This will read an existing file 'customer.txt" from the directory
{code}
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE .file_upload
IS
v_file_name VARCHAR2 (200);
v_file_type UTL_FILE.file_type;
v_line VARCHAR2 (1000);
BEGIN
v_file_name := 'customers.txt';
v_file_type := UTL_FILE.fopen ('EXT_TABLES', v_file_name, 'R');
UTL_FILE.get_line (v_file_type, v_line); -- Error was here
DBMS_OUTPUT.put_line (v_line);
UTL_FILE.fclose (v_file_type);
END;
{code}
_*To open a file*_ This will create customer_XXXXX file under the directory
{code}
CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE testme.file_upload
IS
v_file_name VARCHAR2 (200);
v_file_type UTL_FILE.file_type;
v_line VARCHAR2 (1000);
BEGIN
v_file_name := 'customers_'
|| TO_CHAR (SYSDATE, 'dd')
|| TO_CHAR (SYSDATE, 'MON')
|| TO_CHAR (SYSDATE, 'YYYY')

• Error while using LabVIEW 8.2.1 Dll from Visual C++ 6.0

I am getting an error while using a LabVIEW 8.2.1 dll from Visual C++ 6.0 application. This is what I am doing:
1) Created a dll using LabVIEW 8.2.1 (I used a tutorial from NI knowledge base: "Creating DLLs from 6.0i". It is a temperature conversion VI; input DegreeF and get DegreeC out). Instead of LabVIEW 6.0i, I used 8.2.1. It created the dll Convert_Temp.dll successfully.
2) Then I created a Visual C++ 6.0 application (used a tutorial from NI knowledge base: "Calling a DLL from Microsoft Visual C++ that was Generated by LabVIEW 6i). I could build the project and create an executable application F_To_C.exe.
3) Then copied the LabVIEW dll Convert_Temp.dll into the folder where F_To_C.exe resides. Using windows explorer, went into that folder, and executed the application. I got the following error:
System Error 998 while loading the LabVIEW run-time engine (C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\8.2\lvrt.dll).
Convert_Temp requires a version 8.2.1 (or compatible) LabVIEW Run-Time Engine. Please contact the vendor of Convert_Temp to correct this problem.
I checked the folder: C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\LabVIEW Run-Time\8.2\. It has the file lvrt.dll.
So why am I getting this error?
GKB

sounds like you need to install the LabVIEW 8.2.1 runtime. Not the 8.2 runtime engine.
