Error whilst trying to upload itunes 9

Recently I have gotten a new Ipod (ipod classic, 160GB) and when I plugged it into my computer it said I need to update my itunes to itunes 9. When I tried to do this, at first it said it had downloaded and then when I tried to open it it would say Error 2 apple application support is needed. Then I uninstalled every apple application on my computer. When I tried to then upload the itunes it would start normal then get half way through and give me this message:
+'an error occurred during the installation of assembly 'microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.4053",type="win32,publicKeyToken="1fc8b3 b9a1e18e3b",process or Architecture="x86". Please refer to Help and Support for more information. HRESULT:0x8007010B.+
I have tried almost everything, I've been looking for a solution for hours and everything that works for everyone else isn't doing it for me. I would appreciate it so much if someone was to solve my problem, thank you.

So the copy & paste of the error message didn't work, but here' what it says;
"The installer encounted errors before iTunes could be configured. Errors occured during installation. Your system has not been modified"

Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components
If applicable, disconnect any iPod or iOS device and close Microsoft Outlook.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later).
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (see note 1 below)
    iCloud (if present)
MobileMe (if present) (see note 2 below)
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot your computer. Delete any of the following folders where they can be found: (see note 3 below)
    C:\Program Files\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple
    C:\Program Files\iPod
    C:\Program Files\iTunes
    also on 64-bit systems:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iPod
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
Download the iTunes setup file and run it to install. Use an account with administrative rights. This can usually be achieved by right-clicking on the downloaded file and selecting Run as... or Run as Administrator. In some cases a combination of Shift or Ctrl keys may be required for the option to show, or it may not be necessary.
If you deleted iCloud and reinstalling iTunes doesn't automatically reinstall it visit iCloud Control Panel.

Visual C++   Errors When trying to update ITunes on Win 8.1

Steve, glad that you solved it yourself, but it might be worth taking on board that the steps you mention have not been sufficient for many people which is why Apple and others like myself have been offering somewhat deeper advice. Perhaps reiterating what has often already been suggested in such threads is not really necessary.
Not that you've asked for a critique of your style, but the first sentence of your post above that you are copying elsewhere is appropriate in this thread where you are replying directly to me, anywhere else it perhaps suggests that others should have been able to do likewise and comes over a tad arrogant, though I'm sure that isn't the intention. I wouldn't include it...
    All the best.

Try my script FindTracks. Select a few of the missing files to start with then run the script. Choose No at the first prompt so that you can check how it works track by track, then confirm or edit the location of the media folder where your files are. Once you are happy with how it behaves let it process larger numbers of tracks automatically.

  • Error message trying to load iTunes

I started getting this error message trying to load iTunes a few days ago:
"error writing to file: C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.Resources\es.lproj\iPhone Help.chm. Verify that you have access to that directory."
Anyone know how to fix this?

Sorry about the delay. (Bad cold and some connection problems too.)
Hmmm. The first version of it is probably being thrown by the iTunes Setup Assistant (which involves an installer routine).
The second set of circumstances is a bit more familiar (especially if it's accompanied by a 2330 error message number).
Often it's file damage or (disk damage near a file) that causes those messages. So let's try running a Chkdsk over the C drive:
How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, does it stop giving you that message when you try to launch or upgrade?
