Error window that (annoyingly) keeps popping up
I have no idea where this comes from or how to stop it.
But regularly this shows up in the middle of my screen, especially during iPhoto and now Aperture and Rapidweaver use. I don't have a G4 anymore, haven't in a year - and I just want this to stop.
This morning I was adding a photo album page in Rapidweaver, the error message popped up and froze my app.
Connection failed
The server "bz's G4" may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, check your network connection, and then try again."
Your help is greatly appreciated.

Choose Force Quit from the Apple menu, close Safari, and then launch it with the Shift key held down. If that doesn't work, temporarily disconnect the computer from the Internet.

Yesterday, since I downloaded the latest version 3.6.6, every time firefox opens and when I click on something, I get multiple error windows that say "ERROR: Security Manager Vetoed Action". I can't hardly use if anymore because of all the window pop-ups. What can I do? Can I go back to an older version?

"windows" with options keep popping up
Why do "windows" with options keep popping up whenever I try to do something; they are all different, but will be like "Go Back/ Save as" etc. It is so annoying. How do I get rid of it. I tried removing check mark next to Pop Up Windows, but that didn't do it. Help! Thanks!
I thought for sure someone in the Apple Support Community would be able to help me with my problem... however, no one replied (see original question). I then called Apple Support and they too could not answer my inquiry. Yes, I probably did not describe my problem with the correct terminology (I am a retired homemaker and not a computer expert). However, I was determined to figure out why I kept getting these little "boxes" of options... yes, I did not use the right terminology because I didn't know what it was; but I would have thought an Apple Expert could have figured out what I meant.
Apparently I was using my fingers inappropriately on the Trackpad, and the Shortcut Menus kept appearing. Yes, my little boxes, or windows were actually Shortcut Menus. But I did not know that's what they were called... so I explained them as boxes, or windows... but as I said, an Apple expert should have known what I meant, even though I did not use the correct terminology.
Now I had to figure out how to remove this option as I didn't like it. With only 4 months under my belt with this new computer, I am proud to say I found out by going to Preferences/ TrackPad/ and unclicking the box for Secondary clicks resolved my problem... and now I am wondering why I paid extra for Apple Support. I am disappointed in responses from you. -
Popup error window that disappears in an instant on OSX Lion
Every once in a while, I get a small error window that pops up in the middle of my screen. It comes on and disappears too fast to read, but it disrupts full screen and general browsing.
It started happening after I installed Lion 10.7.1 to my MBP.
I'm on Firefox 6.0.2
It's an obscure issue, I know, but it's a hassle. Has anyone else experienced this?So far, you're the only one that has replied. I just run it by hand.
I just hate to lose my iTunes library further down the line because of something like this. I can't take rating and making all of those playlists again. -
Windows Activation Technologies keeps popping up even though it shows activated
I have a PC with Windows 7 Enterprise that keeps popping up a Windows Activation Technologies message even though the Properties windows indicates it is activated. I have tried re-activating over the Internet and manually over the phone; both times indicating
successful activation. Yet, every day around 7pm, the WAT message will appear.
I have downloaded and run the MGADiag tool and have pasted the report below. I would appreciate if someone would review and provide a possible solution. Thank you.

Using slmgr /rlic command in elevated command prompt to reinstall the license files. This option reinstalls all licenses stored in %SystemRoot%\system32\oem and %SystemRoot%\System32\spp\tokens. These are “known-good” copies stored during installation.

Why the Error Window that Will Not Leave?
I keep getting an error window, usually it occurs whenever I turn on my printer, & sometimes when I turn it off. This window, despite having an "OK" button, never leaves the screen, necessitating my having to move it around, as it gets in the way. It will only leave when I reboot my computer.
The ironic thing is, there is NOTHING WRONG with my printer, the connection, or the function of my printer! The only thing wrong is this rather LARGE, and uninvited error window!
The exact wording is:
Failed to connect to the device
-Check the I/F cable connection between the device & your computer.
-Please turn OFF the device once, and then turn ON the device
Then try again.
(MTW005)
and then there's an "OK" button

Look for a "TwainBridge" driver in Activity Monitor, then kill it/force quit it.
Maybe try reinstalling it...

Installing CS5.5, got an error window that says "windows cannot open this file"
I download the CS5.5 files. Clicked on the larger file to open it and received an error window stating that "windows cannot open this file". Any suggestions?
@caroline,
are both files in the same directory?
are you clicking the exe, not the 7z?
if yes to both, right click the exe and click 'run as administrator'.
if that fails, run the cleaner (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6) and then click the exe. -

Firefox 4 has an error window that pops up asking to "uninstal set". Any suggestions?
The window pops up with the title JavaScript Application and asks to "uninstal set". (note spelling error) How can this window be suppressed?
No guarantees this will fix your problem, but I too just experienced the same thing.
Try this: while running firefox4, open your "tools" menu and go to "add-ons" and
open it up. Check the version of Java you're using. If you are not using v6.0.24
upgrade to that version. After you've upgraded, open your "add-ons" menu
again and delete any of the previous versions listed.
One other thing, my problem cropped up after installing the Yahoo tool bar...
Don't know if this was part of the problem or not, but I uninstalled it, and did the
Java upgrade, then deleted the previous two versions in my add-ons and the
problem went away.
I hope this helps, and good luck! -

How do I permanently remove "Authentication Required" window that continues to pop up?
I am running Firefox 15.0.1 on Mac OS 10.6.8. A window continues to pop up that reads, "Authentication Required" and "Enter username and password for ftp://ftp.radiogarage.com". This happens every time Firefox is opened and continues to pop up approximately every 30-60 seconds until I close Firefox. How do I permanently remove/delete/get rid of this pop up window? I have clicked on Help > Troubleshooting Information > Reset Firefox but that has not solved the issue. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
*Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
*http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

It can be frustrating when you do not have access to high speed stable Internet.
You can attempt to download the base installers and updates by following the directions listed at:
Adobe CC 2014 Direct Download Links: Creative Cloud 2014 Release | ProDesignTools
All Adobe CC 2014 Updates: The Direct Download Links for Windows | ProDesignTools
You may want to attempt to utilize some form of download management as the main issue seems to be the stability of your connection.
There is not currently a method to resume downloads within the Creative Cloud Desktop application. There is download management included though it may not be enough to compensate for the current Internet connection. I have a MacBook that I am trying to upgrade to Snow Leopard so that I may upgrade it then to Lion to make better use of my iPad and some of the n we tools that Apple has made available in Lion. I have checked and double checked that my MacBook meets the hardware expectations, and it does exceed the ones for Snow Leopard. however, every time that I try to run the install disk it tells me that the program is not supported by the current architecture. I have even tried to backend the processes by opening the install folder with "View Package Contents" option, but it still gives the same error message! Someone please help!
Obtain one of these Snow Leopard DVDs instead. They are not expensive.
To get one, there are some details at this link.

Can any one help me with this problem??
Hi garryw,
What version of Reader are you using, and are you on Mac OS or Windows? Do you get the same error when you try to print other PDF files, or is the problem specific to one PDF?
For starters, please try the solutions listed in this thread: Re: There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat /Reader. If it is running ,please exit and try again.(0:104)
Let us know how it goes.

How do I fix the uninstal set error message that continues to pop up
when FF is open and I click on any item a message appears as follows: [JavaScript Application] ! uninstal set. This message appears each time I press the left mouse button and will not dissappear until i click on OK. How do I fix this
This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
* https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+Mode
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in <u>[[Safe mode]]</u>:
* Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)
