I am doing decoupling control of MIMO system in LabVIEW Control Design and Simulation module. Simulating the controller and the plant transfer functions, gives the error "Wire: is a member of a cycle".I understand this is coz of the Three transfer functions in the trnsfer matrix having equal number of poles & zeroes showing Direct feed through behavior. As I can make no changes in the plant or controller models, can anyone suggest a possible solution for this?plzz

False positive "Wire: is a member of a cycle" error!

Hello, I have a strange problem with implementing IF-THEN conditioning of parts of code. On the attached diagram I would like to put all DAQ tasks in separate IF-THEN blocks to exclude them from a DAQ if no channels of their are invloved. However, LV2011SP1f1 does not allow me to do that with error: "Wire: Is a member of a cycle" Obviously that is not the case, I am just passing error clusters through it. Am I missing something here or is it a bug? Thanks in advance,

Hi golubovski,
yes, there's a cycle: the error cluster between the two case structures form a cycle.
The upper case of both has two tunnels: one is an output, the second one is an input. Both are connected to the lower case structure, again forming in-/output. LabVIEW can run the upper case structure only, when all inputs are ready. But the second input is only ready after running that case - cycle error...

Wire : is a member cycle

hello, I am trying to create a model of a linear motor. I used the simulation subsystem but it appear an error message wire : is a member cycle. I tryed to use a feedback node (in the main vi). It executes but it shows a wrong response. Can you plsease help figure out what is the problem. Thank you.
PS: the are two attached images that shows the part that includes the problem in the main VI and the simulation subsystem.

Inserting a feedback node is probably the right thing to do. The wrong response you get might be cause by the value you use to initialize the feedback node.

Error Opening Reports (Cannot find Dimension Scenario, Error executing query: the member null doesn't exist in this application)

Hello,
two of our users get the following error message, when opening two specific reports:
First Report: Cannot find Dimension Scenario.
Second Report: Error executing query: the member null doesn't exist in this application.
Other users can access these reports, and the same users where the problem occurs can access other reports in the same folder.
I set the same rights for me, but i can access the reports without problems.
Somebody encountered the same problem before?

Hi there,
I had the same issue a few weeks ago... not sure how it happened but it was related only with my username.
In order to fix it:
1. I created a report which does not require to select the scenario in advance. Try to use the default data-grid that you get when you first create a report for example.
2. When the user runs the report, try to see if he can see the dimension. Do not use the missing dimension on rows or columns. If he can see the dimension, ask him to select one scenario. This will solve the issue.
3. If he cannot see the dimension, try to change the layout of the report.

EPMA Deploy Failed - Error : Shared instance of member

I have big problem, from time to time, I get shared members on my shared libary even tough I define all members as primary
can any one advice how can I verfiy no shared members loaded to my shared libary?

in addition, I just notice that when I import the dim from the interface table wizard, I have option name "If “Allow Overwrites with Blank” which is not selected,
maybe it's has to do with the appreance of the shared members?

Error Wire always in the background if crossing other wire

If you need to wire cross other wires it would be nice just for the optic to have the error wire always in the background of the cross. Now the wire which is connected first is in the background and all other overlay it.

Ignore dimension build error Incorrect Parent For Member (3307)

Hello,
Is it possible to ignore the following error:
Incorrect Parent [XYZ] For Member ABC (3307)
The error appears because the member is in outline already. Is there a way to ignore that error?

The reason for the error is you have multiple rows in your dimension build file with conflicting information. One row says to associate the member with parent A and another row says to associate it with Parent B. TimG's suggestion to set them ember to allow moves would get rid of the error, but the member will be associated with the last row in your data. If you do not allow moves (as it appears you have) there is no way to turn off the error. In your case it is what I call a soft error, you know about it, but don't want to do anything about it. I would suggest you clean up your data so it does not cause this issue. It is troublesome to me when the incoming data has this type of inconsistency and the solution is to ignore it

Hiding the #error message from a member column

Hey guys,
The issue is mainly the member formula column showing the basic #error message in the cell upon intentionally messing with the values. It's pretty natural, but I'm looking to hide that error message, though I forgot how. I'm sure it's pretty simple.
I'm using Hyperion 11.1.2.1.0.83

Error selecting a dimension member in BPC EPM report - The given key was not present in the dictionary

Hi,
We are currently running SAP BPC 10.1 NW on Hana
Version:
CPMBPC 810 SP 4
SAP_BW 740 SP 9
HANABPC 810 SP 4
EPM Excel Add-in 10 SP 21 .NET 4 build 9094.
On my embedded model. I have a BEX query on a aggregation level which I access in a report using the EPM Add-in Excel .
When I edit my report in EPM Add-in Excel , and I try to select the dimension members for a selected dimension member, I get the following error.
"The given key was not present in the dictionary"
Any assistance to help resolve the problem will be appreciated.

Hi Shrikant,
I had a look at MBR_SEQ , it is a attribute on the dimension member in BW , this relates to a past version of BPC 7.5. We are currently on BPC 10.1 Embedded model , and the MBR_SEQ does not exist on any of the characteristics I have in my info cube.
When I create a web report I am able to access the dimension members using the select dimensions options, the problem seems to be on the EPM Add-in Excel client only.

EVDRE error after adding new member - AFTER installing SQL 2008 R2 SP1 CU2

Hi guys.
We're seeing the same error as detailed in Link:[Re: EVDRE error AFTER expanding on a newly added member, sometimes....;
Basically, any new members that are added appear in the SQL tables, but throw out "EVDRE has encountered a problem..." when trying to use them.
Generally, this problem clear up if we leave the member overnight (although why this should be, I have no idea - the system does nothing extra overnight).
We have tried processing the cube, full processing of the application and even a server reboot, all to no avail.
However, the generally accepted fix for this is to upgrade SQL 2008 R2 to SP1 CU2 (SQL 10.50.2772)
This system was patched to that level before BPC was ever installed, precisely to avoid this problem.
This is not the first time that we have seen this behaviour.
I have experienced it in one other environment, which I keep meaning to rebuild.
These installations are in completely different environments. The only similarities are that they both use Windows Server 2008 R2 and SQL 2008 R2.
The issue only started to appear in this second environment today (we have 3 other environments with the same software version that do not have the problem).
It had been assumed before today that the first problematic environment might need a rebuild due to this issue being caused by some other factor.
However, this is now far too coincidental to be the case.
Has anyone seen similar issues even after patching to v10.50.2772, or does anyone have any suggestions at all.

i've had the same issue in the same days. I confirm that the issue appear after adding any member and it's clear overnight.
My system is different:
Windows Server 2008 NT 6.0 <X64> (Build 6002: Service Pack 2) Enterprise Edition
and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Enterprise Edition (SP1) - 10.0.2841.0 (X64)
The issue appears in the last months.
It's occurs only on specific machine (always the same client), in the same moment other machines can open the same input schedule and expand without problem.
I've noted also that when I cancel the added member the issue disappear, the same behaviour with APShell.
I have the same configuration on development and test environment, same version of O.S. and SQL server, but there I don't have problem. The only difference is that these two environments are single server (application and DB server on the same machine) Instead, the production environment is multiserver (2 application server + DB server).
Maybe there is a service that take a long time for sincronization (it's triggered in the night?).
Could you verify if on some machine the evdre works fine and and that when you delete the added member evdre starts to work?

Dump Error when I open 'Member access Profile' in Admin client

Hi,
We have recently performed DB-Refresh.
In Admin client: when try to create a user and assign the user to team it throws the error: "Object Reference not set to an instance of an object".
There are no 'Member Access Profiles' and when we click on 'Member access Profiles' it throws a dump error.
We have the issue with APPSHELL as well. I've deleted and re-created the APPSHELL but still same issue.
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

Whenever you see dumps on accessing the security profiles/ cannot add/modify users..
it is usually a mismatch with the BPC Server, BPC CLient (on your machine) with .NET server.
Please check the BPC server version, and go to the installation doc for that SP, you will find the relevant client and .NET versions to go with the Server version..

SSTemplate.xlt Error during 'Maintain Dimension Member' in BPC Admin

Hi,
While trying to 'maintain dimension member' in BPC administrator (BPC 7.0 Netweaver version) for a dimension,I get error message that 'C:\...Temp\SSTemplate.xlt' file could not be found.
Due to this I am unable to maintain members for any dimension.
If anyone has faced this issue and resolved it,could you please me out?

Dear Rinal Parmar,
I think that the dimension file which you mean is lose from the directory(the directory which you installed the SAP BPC). If you've backup the Appset before, please you find the dimensian file (.xlt) which is lose in the backup directory. After that, you copy paste into the exactly directory (the directory which you installed the SAP BPC). Then, You should process dimension and process application again.

Passing error wire - connected to an undirected tunnel

How can I pass error cluster wire between stacked sequences ??
For example in the state machine - the error cluster wires should pass data from previous stacked sequence CASE 0 to CASE 1.
How can I do that ?

I have searched many times on this forum.
How can one do the following in terms of state machine :
Have a FOR loop that has N cases
For each iteration "I" the cases 1-N repeat.
One way is to convert those 1-N cases to another state machine and reuse it under the main state machine (for example the one I showed).
How else could one do it., Please explain this. As this is most common kind of coding I will have to face through out my development and I dont want to complicate it by having nested state machines.
Even a simple sketch will do it.

Error "Can not download member information"

Hi Experts,
When i try to start BPC for Excel, I get few error popup with the error as "Can not download ACOOUNTS member information". Such errors are displayed for all the members in Appset.
Can you please help me how to resolve this error?

With regards to having the Appsets with the same names, I tend to avoid this in designs, and always use NAME, NAME_TEST, NAME_DEV so there is no confusion for the users who have access to multiple appsets on different servers.
But if you have 2 laptops, that each signs into a different server for the same named appset, the My documents would not be an issue, unless at some point, one of the machines accidently logged into the other server and copied items to the my documents that are different btw the appsets. You can try to either delete the folder in MYDOCs, or reset the client using Etools, options, clear local application.
There are other causes of this error which makes troubleshooting the process difficult. Steps that may help include:
-Processing all dimensions, full
-Processing the applications
-Reset the template version
-rebuild the templates at the appset level,
-Clear the client local application info
- Reauthentication and sign on.
If the errors persist, then I would try to client uninstall/reinstall. If it continues further, I would open a support ticket with SAP.

Error - "MCDTEXT not a member of MEMGMT_COMPONENT_TABLE"

I have installed NWs SP09.
In Mobile Infraturcture -->Mobile Components Administartion page, When I search for a Mobile component using * or any other mobile component shown in MEMSD table, I get the error below
"Field MCDTEXT not a member of MEMGMT_COMPONENT_TABLE".
Please let me know why does this happen.

Hi Sudhish,
Seems some problem with deployment process either on middleare or on J2ee-stack.
Download the latest sp-09 NWMADMIN.sca from SMP and deploy it again on the server and retest the issue.
