Error with images...
I have imported a number of images from my Canon 350d into iPhoto 6 without any issues, until a couple of weeks ago when I started to have some issues with my images.
I can view the thumbnail of the image. but as soon as I try to view them in full screen mode it brings up a grey screen with a dotted border and an exclamation mark in the centre.
Does anyone out there know why this happens or better still how to resolve the issue ?.

Control-click on one of the thumbnails and select Show file. Then check to see if the file that is presented can be opened with Preview. If so, do a Save As with Preview, selecting the jpg format and max quality and save to the desktop. Then replace the file in the iPhoto Library folder with the new duplicate. Now see if you can open that file from iPhoto.
If that corrects it then you can try the following:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: It can take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. One user reported that with a library of about 5,000 images it took about 12 hours so plan ahead.
This creates a new library by copying the files and necessary data from the old library. The copying may do the same as the Save As with Preview, but on a library wide scale.

PSCS4 Memory Error with Image Processor
When I use the image processor in PSCS4 to process a large number of raw files using ACR 5.1 (Nikon D3 NEFs), I consistently receive an error message after about 10-11 files have been processed that the instruction at 0x696336ab tried to read memory at 0x6C (or thereabouts) and the memory could not be read. I am saving as JPEGs with the color space set to sRGB.
I de-installed and reinstalled PSCS4, but the error persists. The image processor worked fine with PSCS3. A workaround that solves the problem is to process the files as a batch using a simple action to accomplish the task.
I am running Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3 with a dual Xeon processor and 2G of error correcting memory.Hmm.. I was getting a similar error with CS3 and was very happy to find that it appeared to be cured in CS4. The CS3 issue would appear if I tried to process more then 100 NEFs. My workaround was to do them in smaller batches (60-75). Perhaps you might try reducing the memory alotted to PS or run it without any other apps running?

Illustrator CC 2014 "Exception in file" error with linked images
It appears some images are showing "Exception in file" error dialog boxes.
If I resave the image in Photoshop or link it to a different image the error disappears.
Happened with:
- old design files linked to old images
- image that was dragged from Mac Mail
- linked to JPG provided from other users
Does not happen with:
- images created recently with Photoshop CC or CC 2014

This is an error on a new Mac Pro with brand new install of all software. No older versions of cc installed. Just CC 2014.That's a good idea. Unfortunately, same problem if I move the image to desktop or same folder as file.
If I resave the file (JPG in this case) the error disappears.
I understand this can be the solution, but given this issue had not happened before, it's interesting it is happening with CC 2014.
Attached is the image in question. Note that this is not the only image. It has happened with older design files that were made from older versions of cc or before cc.
I'm not sure if the uploader will recreate the JPG so I'll compress the file and is available here if anyone would like to test.

Error with list styles using image bullets
I cannot use list styles with image bullets in the mapping of
Framemaker documents. If I define and map a format with image
bullets, then Robohelp creates the correct HTML/CSS code but during
the Webhelp output forgets to copy the used image files to the

I have encountered this problem with my first IPAD2 and brought it back to the Apple Store. They gave me a new one and I used it for a few weeks and my MIC was not working so I decided to try and install the update. I hard wired my laptop this time and again I had the same error. The IPAD2 froze so I went back to the Apple Store and they tried to fix the problem. They could not. So they are going to give me another new one. I asked them what the problem could be and they said it was my computer and I should select the download and not the download and install. But to be honest I do not remember I had that option. When I get my new one, I will see if I get the option to select how I update my IPAD. I also saw a message on this site that suggested closing all security programs before attempting to updat the software. I did ask the apple rep when I returned my IPAD today if the security programs would interfer with the update. They said no, but I will try anything to get the update to work. If you find an answer let me know

Help me this error :"uncaught error fetching image" with Jar file
Hi all.
I have a program written with Swing. This program has one button and fetch Image into this button. Image is in Images directory .When I run this program by IDE, It's OK. However, when I compress classes of this program into Jar file and run, it can not recognize the path to Image. And it leads to this error:
"uncaught error fetching image"
I have tried to look for a lot of information relating to this problem on the internet but nothing is possible.

you don't hae to do the BufferedReader, but the getClass().getResource... is what you need. -
Print document with images error
I have a problem with Word 2013 document management with images in my project. By using the scrollbars to scroll through the images, they disappear leaving an empty document space ("placeholder") instead. I interpret that are downloaded
from the view. The most serious problem is that this images are not printed afterwards.
Details
The project is made by a "addin" application level on word 2013, created in Visual Studio 2012 (Framework 4.0), from which you can initiate actions based in our business logic. Including a list of images is inserted into the active document.
To insert the images I've tried various techniques (interop, open xml) to verify that my problem is related to a defect in this part. I also tested load different images each time (bmp, jpg).
When I insert images into two documents within the same session of word and use the scroll to move from one image to another repeatedly, some are downloaded from the print view. This process can replicate completely closing and reopening word
2013 and then open these documents afterwards. Opening the documents opens the "addin" too. If I uninstall the addin the effect does not occur. However this addin dont use in the loading process any logical business or load sessions database.
Only load a few basic buttons.
Can anyone give me any explanation or solution to this effect?document examples:

I took a lot of pictures and video on my recent trip to Ireland. Now I am trying to download the photos and videos from my iphone to my mac - iphoto. I have tried 3 times and each time (at a different point) I get a message telling me that there was an error with one of my photos and it wont load the pictures. Help!!
Try using Image Capture to download to a folder on the Desktop. If there's a damaged file on the iPhone that's preventing the download you can isolate it with Image Capture and then delete it from the iPhone.

I have six memory cards that my computer will not download. It says there is an error with one of the photos. Has anyone had this problem and what do I do to fix it? It used to download

Does this message come on all six cards?
Are these Raw or Jpegs? If Raw, what camera?

Word 2010 document with images won't print to HPLJ5550 printers
It prints fine on black and white printers (HP 4250). It's a 25-page document with images on almost every page. The file size in Explorer shows the document is 3.2mb. The printer queue window shows its 2.27mb/415 mb.
I've tried to figure this out.
I sent the same document to four different HPLJ5550 printers. All the same problem.
I sent it to other printer models and it works fine.
I sent it from different computers. Same results.
I turned off background printing. I disabled advanced printing. I PDF'd it and it still wouldn't print.
The issue is that we are moving to Office 2010 in May and I am responsible for training everyone. But, I can't print my training materials on 90% of our printers (HPLJ5550). Gack. What will this be like when we have all our employees trying to print and documents won't print.
This has happened with other Word 2010 documents too. I thought it may have been the fonts in the styles. So I changed the styles to use Times New Roman and Arial. Didn't help.
I made new styles, not based on any other style, and used TNR and Arial. Didn't help.
I save the file back to Word 2003. Didn't help.
I can, however, print the file fine on the one Dell 5100 color printer we have. But, that's not going to work when we have 700 users trying to print to their HPLJ5550 printers (the company default printer for all our locations).
I would appreciate any suggestions you have. Right now I have had to go back to using Word 2003 to create the training documents for Word 2010 classes - totally not acceptable.Ugh.

I get a small window asking for my blackberry ID and Password, once i enter it correctly it give a error message, stating that cannot connect to internet or DNS not found when all other browser pages are able to connect.
if i enter wrong password it shows password wrong and then asks for correct password, only if i give correct password it shows the error message which is a typical Internet explorer error message.
